My emotionally unstable mind and suicidal tendencies originally brought me to this song years ago. Now as a grown man I come back to this song every now and than, to remind myself how far I've come! To who it pertains, life gets rough but you gotta keep going. You got this!
There's so many more people out there just like you, More then you could even comprehend or be aware of....... But I'm telling ya, you're not alone I feel ya big time.
This song, for me is a spiritual song. Being in touch with your true self brings you happiness and realising that you have fire in your hands, means to me, the ability to take action. Liberty means, your choice. How corners to I have turn , means to me, that love is within us to find. Let the journey to your inner source begin ;) best piece of music ever written...
Agree We are never going to learn Everything we see and feel is just an illusion of the universe Love like hate is something we create not actually exists in the universe. We want more from life? Then...look to yourself we have the power (fire in our hands) to create that which we need and want.
The British invasion of the mid 90's. Oasis, The Verve, Blur, Bush, The Cranberries, Spacehog, Pulp, Etc. God, too many to mention. I was prolly too young to resonate with any of the lyrics (as I do now), but even back then, I just knew, in my bones the music was just right. Far and away memories now, but good ones.
@@paula17able Thanks Paula, just read your message now (after one year). Some people like "Jack" are just a little too sensitive. Off topic, but Jack seems to be the kind of guy, when discussing the U.K., would go out of his way to explain how and how not Ireland is a part of the U.K. Im Canadian, part of North America, sometimes people refer to us Canadian's, as American's. Some Canadians are insulted, some like me couldnt care less. Probably would explain how I could throw the Cranberries into a "British" bunch and not care to deeply about it. Borders, Anthems, Flags, Nationalism, Etc...In my opinion all divide this "Little Blue Dot" (as Carl Sagan described it), that we live on. PS. Jack, the term "British Invasion of the 90's" was not a phrase I coined. The media coined it, AND the media (not me) included the Cranberries in that phrase. Rest In Peace, Dolores.
The Verve brought me here. This has been one of my favorite songs for many years, and will always stay with me. one of the greatest songs of all time imo
Great song and one verse from the song really gets to me..."But how many corners do I have to turn? How many times do I have to learn? All the love I have is in my mind?" Too many people go through their entire lives without really understanding what this means.
Diogo Araújo In my interpretation, for the first question, I think it means how many paths or lifestyles one has to adapt to find their satisfied place. I believe you can never find eternal peace because then the value of peace would lose its meaning. The second is trying to find the truth and repeatedly failing to gather this truth whether in ethics, knowledge, or lifestyle. Also, information will forever be upgraded. For the third, and it's kind of sad, all the love you have for someone, something, or the world is all in your head because you can never be sure to have it returned, if it is true, or if the love exists.
+Diogo Araújo It says one big truth, which is that love n happiness are not something we find out of ourselves, not in others, and we try so many times to find someone to make us happy, someone to make us feel well and to fix us, so sooner or later we get hurt and often it takes much pain and much suffering/being hurt to finally figure out that we are responsible for how and what we feel and as long as we search for good feels around we won't be happy, because it is something that is within us, no one can make you happy, but you. You are the core and God to your body, your mind and your spirit and everything starts with you and within you.
@@anasobota1620 i believe thats the teaching of the buddha too That happiness comes from within But i think also we have to recognise that we as humans are social creatures, we need to love and be loved It's like a core element of being human

Moral fiber. So, what is moral fiber? It's funny, I used to think it was always telling the truth, doing good deeds, basically being a f***ing boy scout. But lately I've been seeing it differently. Now I think moral fiber's about finding that one thing you really care about. That one special thing that means more to you than anything else in the world. And when you find her, you fight for her. You risk it all, you put her in front of everything, your future, your life, all of it. And maybe the stuff you do to help her isn't so clean. You know what? It doesn't matter. Because in your heart you know, that the juice is worth the squeeze. That's what moral fiber's all about.
