    I just spend 5 hours trying to get an idea how to do it. Watching polish tutorials... but this is so essential and easy explained. Thank you very much to share it here 💖💖💖

    Thank you for mentioning the bit at 1:00-1:05 - not being on the selection option but instead on the layer option. Not sure how I switched it but the selection option was not working at all. Saved my sanity! Thanks!

    there is an easier way to straighten a horizon. as of gimp 2.10, you can use the Measure tool to do that. There is also now a Unified Transform tool to combine rotate, resize and skew. Or maybe you were saving those for a future episode :)

      Excellent, thanks for sharing! And yes, unified transform will be coming in a video soon.

    Is there a way to quickly invert an image or layer vertically, like the flip tool that performs a horizontal flip?

    My scale tool seems to behave different from the video. My photo is bigger than the canvas, and if I try to scale it down to the canvas size, it seems to cut of the img, scaling only part off it. I see this yellow dotted line around it instead of what you have. Am I missing a setting somewhere?

    Can ANYONE please tell me how to adjust an image WITHOUT losing resolution. The new version 2.10 does not seem to support this. Sinc has disappeared and if you ask me, GIMP is pointless without it. Who wants to build a canvas with images that are unreadable? I can’t find anything online and no way to reach out to the company. I would be shocked if I’m provided an answer here. Help help, I need this for work!

      I'm also stuck on this, have you found the solution?

    • @KatyMcManusArt
      @KatyMcManusArt 3 роки тому +1

      @@loading9357 yes, I did, check my feed, posted a video with the solution. SUPER simple and you only have to do it once. If it works, do me a favour and subscribe, like and add a comment. I’m proud to say after months of trying to find a solution I’m the only one that has, pretty proud of myself for figuring this glitch out🤙

    This question has nothing to do with this video, but i thought youd notice it better if i asked it here, im trying to learn to use LMMS and i have a problem with melodies. I cant figure out how to make sounds not to overlap each other, so i can create a base melody and add top notes or whatever they are called. Can u help me with this?

    Pain in the ass. Photoshop is so much easier.

      That's why Gimp is free and Photoshop costs money. You get what you pay for, usually.
