Cab companies use the longest-lasting, most-efficient vehicles possible, and most cabs I see are Priuses.
As the owner of a 2021 Prius awd-e, this is good to know what to expect after 200,000 miles. Best winter car ever.
My '19 awd-e Prius also gets better fuel economy than advertised. I think these are the best bang-for-the-buck commuter car available.
I own a 2019 Limited & love mine! It came w/17" wheels. Due to covid only drove once in snow/not much, but went as well as my 97 camry. Will see this winter. I Do run 4 snow tires & DID on my 97 camry &did very well! Glad u love urs too! 😁
Problems I’ve had with my 2019 company Prius
• seatbelt light/sound coming on randomly
• PKSB & TPMS error comes up
• stereo freezes and shuts down randomly
• parking sensor static/electrocuted me
• auto headlights blind oncoming vehicles and then don’t go to high beam when they’ve passed
• Radar cruise control sees vehicles that aren’t there and brakes for absolutely no reason.
There is a place in hell reserved for that car. Cannot wait to get rid of it
You got a lemon. My 2019 has none of those issues
2017 Four Touring issues
1. Rear quarter molding appliqués peeling issue, replaced 10/6/2022
2. Front dome light assembly failure, replaced 6/16/2023
I love it, problems showing up at 150,000-200,000 miles... Long after many brands would have had an engine or transmission failure, let alone wheel bearings.
There is a real issue with this car and a know Toyota TSB out that he didn’t mention. The coolant lines from catalytic converter will fail causing loss of coolant and no heat.
@@pgreenxi’m at 100,000 mile and none of those issue yet 🤷🏾♀️
Just reached 125,000 car is starting to have problems
Losing coolant white smoke out the exhaust!
@@jayvelazquez8765 there is a fix for it just Google and save 2000€
Also, water pump will fail before 150,000 miles. Costs nearly $1,000. And, exhaust heat exchanger may fail, costing more than $1,000.
$1,000 if you rely on others to fix things you could repair yourself
2021 Prius @ 38k miles had the front wheel bearing failure.👍
#11 : The rear seatbelt alarm goes off on its own randomly without anyone sitting in the seats (2017 )
This could be due to a backpack on the seat
take to garage and have them disconnect. buyvthem a drink
I have a Prius 2022 that won’t start . On dashboard appears hybrid system malfunction & braking power low . Anyone with this same problem ?
Change 12v battery
I regret buying my 2017 Prius - it's on to it second major problem - which may have been referenced in this video - thank-you for posting a helpful and objective video!
I'm sorry about the 2nd one. I own a 2019 & have had 0 problems. If they had this warning out ASAP, I WOULD cut a piece of heater hose & cover harness & chek periodically to make sure.😉 Unfortunately, black piano trim gets complaints on chipping. Mine hasnt yet, if it DOES, I will have clear wrapped w/xpel wrap at my detail shop. And yes, I've heard windshields crack on earlier gen 4's. Not sure why, how to prevent other than be careful. They ARE really great cars, I hope it gets better for u. W/gas prices, STILL a great move for u! 😁
What was wrong with it?
should mention the issue with the exhaust front assembly leaking coolant
Are you talking about the heat exchanger?
One common problem is these Priuses tend to break down after 300,000 miles. 😢 How can anyone say these cars are reliable?
So you wouldn’t buy this car?
