I mean, I could see it on my little screen off of my phone. It just didn't move, but it had a face a hairy back with a huge tree in front of it, obscuring its feature. Re look at your footage. I think it was a somewhat clear view of it. Gray face. Stoic looking. Great capture.

46yro resident of Western WA here RFB. That sound at 19:13 is in my opinion a cougar. I’ve heard plenty of coyotes, they used to come into our back yard, as big as German Shepherds they were. I know u shot this video a while back but let me tell you, our forests are dense and packed. I have lived here in the Kitsap/ Olympic Peninsula and many hikes back in the day. My best friend some years ago up near Port Angeles near Hurricane Ridge, hiking with her German Shepherd came across a massive footprint in the snow. As a woman that wears a size 12wide, and she wears a size 11…that footprint was damn near a foot and a half. Hope u make it back to WA and check out Olympic Hotsprings, in the Olympic Mountains. Great video bro! Much respect ❤So many cool places to visit here in Western WA- at least u won’t run into any rattlesnakes like in the desert Eastern WA. I would recommend Lake Chelan. It’s a whole other climate in the East- dry heat.

My granny was the skamania county lumber jill champion in the 60's and grandpa owned a log truck and my whole family grew up in the woods. Skamania county and the olympic nantional wilderness are the two best places, most remote. And that area where the columbia river meets the pacific is one of the most dangerous waters in the world.
