I am a bengali male immigrant to the United states. I read her book The bluest Eye in my AP lit class in high school. It really broke my entire world view and the myths I bought into about America before coming to the United States. Her works changed my life for the better. Thank you for making a video about her. I wish more people read her. Also that quote at 2:40 is one of my fav quote.
This series is everything!!! Need more asap! Hahaha ♥️♥️
Thank you hun!! I’m on it!! ✨
I’m still working on the subtitles for this video! Sorry that they weren’t ready by the time the video went up! //sumaya
She’s my favorite author eek!
Ahh kinda one of mine as well!! 😫
What a wonderful video 🖤 I’ve only read Beloved and The Bluest Eye but I can’t wait to catch up!
Thank you Justine!! I also have books I need to catch up on 💛
The first book I read by her was Bluest eye (at age 12). I really enjoy the way she writes, which is stream of consciousness. Although it takes a while to get used to, it can be very enjoyable :)
I haven’t read that one yet!! And I definitely agree!! 💛
