What an inspiring talk, Benoy! Your message has indeed been delivered. What a journey, from the initial and transformative experience of taking photographs in the darkness of the Ajanta caves to visiting every corner of India, delivering lectures in museums and universities around the world, and embarking on trips to Kalmykia, Afghanistan, and Colombia (well done, Sujata!). “When something has to be done for the sake of documentation, we do not shy away from doing it; we just go ahead and do it.” Young generations should adopt this as their motto! And nothing compares to the joy of giving. Thank you for these words of wisdom!
Thank you immensely for your warmth and generous appreciation. It is the kindness within you speaking and I am grateful to you. Yes, that is the message from the compassionate paintings of Ajanta, the joy of giving is really the only real joy. My warmest wishes to you.
It is really very very loving and warming to see Benoy Bahl Ji talking about his life and Journey through his unique art of photography. I have known and admired You since 1992 when you came to Tourism Ministry. Old memories are still Young. Stay blessed.
This interview reminds me of the day Benoy's( my first cousin) father ( my Bua's husband) told our grandmother about his admission to the Film & Television Institute,Pune....she said what are you doing?? Where are you sending him?? Make him an IAS officer like you are.... Luckily by God 's grace she lived to see Benoy make a name for himself in the field he had chosen & shine bright.❣️
