I strongly despise what the Cuban cigarworld has become. Cuban cigars have never been cheap, but the changes that prices have gone through in the last few years have been due to nothing less than greed, pure and simple. All these outlets speak of corona, bad harvests and storms but it's due to a select few very rich individuals (from China mainly) buying out all the stores, or sending people to do so. It's not even in quantities that can be smoked, humanly speaking. In these cases, these beautiful cigars have become pearls for the swines (with a lot of money), all for status and ego. Sad.
I worked in a cigar shop in The Netherlands and there would be a chinese man regularly in the shop, buying all the special and high end Cubans for China. The owner didn't care because money is money and saving it for the local people was to much of a hasstle. They were even trying to convince the guy to buy up all the rare OpusX releases as well.
The prices are outrageous!! Anybody who buys these is only contributing to the greed! and in my opinion anybody who pays these prices for a rolled up bunch of tobacco no matter how beautiful the paper label looks is plain stupid!!
Agree with many of the comments listed here…on Cuban cigar prices. Aways good to hear your reviews Dirk! I’m always on the lookout for your reviewed cigars. In this case, though, I think I’d rather have 5-6 boxes of Behike’s 😅 Can’t wait until you post your smoked review on this stick!
I have been a cigar smoker for over 20 years, they have always been a luxury item and this is reflected in the price. However, in the last 5 years cigar prices are comical. Regardless of how rich you are, I believe that everything has a value, and cigar prices no longer reflect their real value. I stopped buying Cubans about 3 years ago and now only buy new world cigars because they still offer value for money.
Cohiba is a luxury brand marketed and priced as such. Same as Chanel - Hermes - Cartier - Patek Philippe - Ferrari - One bed flat monthly rent NY G.Village is USD4k .....etc. Wake up and smell the smoke.
$532 USD per cigar for the Cohiba. I could by a lifetime of Padron Anniversario for the price of one box of these. You’re not sad that the common smoker cannot afford it. That’s a laughable statement.
Be patient everyone, there will come a time when all the Garcias,Plasencias,Padrons,Perdomos,AJs,other Cuban families will return and get what rightfully theirs back, restart rolling amazing cigars with Cuban tobacco..Habanos and communists will be no more..
@@abdulazizalhassar3737 Yes, he definitely should. All Torcedoras and Torcedores follow a strict protocol in the factories which includes Hy gene. Hands are cleansed with an odorless sanitized lotion to avoid impacting any unwanted bacteria and odor to the tobacco thus protecting and preserving the integrity of the product. The protocols include tables and tools. Other protocols are in place but are not part of this discussion. Many professional Tobacconist use gloves and this should be compulsory procedure for all Tobacconist. Some Tobacconist are placing the cigars in cell to avoid hands contamination And some Aficionados buy only sealed boxes. Other Aficionados refuse to use third party cutters as the cigars head was or night have been placed in the mouth before cutting. But hey. You do whatever pleases you.
just when you think the prices can't get anymore ridiculous, there it is
Absurd...people are spending 10k on a wooden box with 20 cigars in it....😂

@@tijmen131 When I visited Antwerp at Xmas I was limited to only 2 cigars per type which I now understand why they do this!
Outrageous price. Thankfully, I've experienced a few Behike 56 over the last 2 years. Fantastic smokes. It's great to see you back!

Thanks for the video my friend. This is the closest I’ll get to a box, appreciate you sharing 👌🏼

Thank you for the content!! I will be traveling for work this weekend... Going to hit up a few lounges in Washington DC.
Always good to see your videos. Smoking laws are draconian.
Did you make this a while ago? I see a green tree in the background
Can you review the centrogordos?

Wow! If the prices keep going up like that, people will shift to new world cigars. I've already started shifting over.
Sell it, get the cash. Not worth it.
Supply and demand
This has nothing to do with smoking and enjoy a fine cigar which is worth the price. It's all about the money so I'm done with smoking Habanos
I prefer to smoke 16000 euros directly
Sell and buy 100 boxes of something else, finest example of diminishing returns ever if you smoke them.

I'm sure the people that are making these cigars earn great money and live like royalty, that's why they are so expensive.
I thought Cuba was socialist or something lol
It’s just about greed!!
Smoke it
Sell it!

Not in our lifetime
THIS IS A FAKE BATCH !
Lol why you hating
It seems you always handle cigars with your naked hands instead of wearing white cotton or silk gloves. It is really off-putting.
The people who handle and roll these cigars in Cuba do not ware any gloves nether should he it is his box
