I think the Animated line is one of the most amazing Transformers version. They make 3D figures for stylized 2D characters that are extremely show accurate somehow, in both vehicle and robot modes. The toys also have a solid feel to them which I really like. In addition, Animated Prowl is also one of the best toys with a motorcycle alt mode ever.
@@Eldeecue woah nice! I think my first interaction with transformers was either the 07 movie as a kid or the g1 cartoon, it's so cool how much transformers have evolved through the years
Good review, I got the DOTM repaint of this one today and he is better than I was expecting. It is odd that they took out the hand hinge in the final release. And niblet is adorable, makes me think of my two neices who are also very adorable.
in the prototype of this i think the gun he has was supposed to "pop-out"because the back of his box says so. also the joints that would do that are molded in to the figure. but overall he is amazing!
Niblet is just the cutest Peaugh! Hopefully when all the Power Corce combiners comes out, she can do your reviews of the combiners since they all just peg together and spring into place!
yeah I noticed too,but look at the box pic,it has some diff. paint jobs indicating it is a premium series. let's say the mouth piece, there are supposed to be some blue parts there but they are not there.or the vents near the tailfins, are color silver, and overall darker color than the one in the box. meaning it will be in the premium series.
awesome figure!!!i got mine last friday and it was a big a improvement over the first movie! my only complaint is on his right foot were it was a little bit loose and it affected his stability. but overall it was an awesome figure! its really worth your money
It's cute how your kid helped with the video :) I'm definately getting this. I was planning on getting Deep Space Starscream, but I like the ROTF one better.
lol, bless.. that really put a smile on my face Peaugh :) me and my fiancee have been thinking about having a kid... Niblets sweet!! Think theres room for her to do her own reviews? lol!! :P
My four month old daughter's favorite toy is the plush Slumblebee. It's so cool; my wife has tried replacing him with a Glo-Worm and various other stuffed toys, but my daughter LOVES her Bee.
Wow, she's smart too~ 3:45 She remembers Starscream's name~ At that age, I couldn't remember the names of most characters from the original show when they were rerunning it. I could really only remember a few of the big names, Optimus Prime, Megatron, Starscream, Grimlock, guys like that. Either she's really smart, or she's a Transformers fan, or both~ =3
what would you reccomend? the ROTF starscream or the 2008 starscream? please reply,... cos i still don't have a strscream and i'm planning to buy one,... would b a big help,... thanks,...
hey peaugh, i'm a fan of your reviews. anyway, i wonder if you have seem the silver version of the ROTF Starscream, i'd like to get that instead of the original. if you happen to have one i wish you could do a quick compareson like you did with the Breakaway, thanks.
I got Starscream back on May 30th when they ROTF toys were released. I have not transformered him yet. I think that today is a good day to go ahead and do that.
Very neat that you had your kid there I think that is cool. One thing though that no one has said anything about is the missiles. In robot mode they look like G1 Starscream and that is good but in jet mode, and this is the same for movie one Starscream, the missiles on an F 22 are not under the wings they are under the body of the plane.
This is a pretty good Starscream for a Voyager class. Definitely better than the one from the first movie. But if you want closer screen accuracy in robot mode, the leader class Starscream is definitely the one to have! And the plane mode is just as big as the robot mode!
hey I just got mine, finally, and guess what? the missles stick to his back! you pull the wings back a little bit then open up the thruster formation. then there's enough room for the missle! so he can have missles on his back like the leader starscream
I have a feeling the reason they took out some of the functionality out of Voyager Starscream is because they wanted to make the Leader version that much more different and superior.
Nice1 Peaugh, Errm will there be a Leader Class ROTF Starscream and Blackout/Grindor??? Also will the Human Alliance Bumblebee look to scale next to them? And lastly is their a Human alliance sized Barricade?? Cheers peeps
romxxii i have to agree for the animated figures at first i could not stand them but i have gotten a few of them and they do grow. I love Blitzwing and Safeguard toys they just rock.
It's funny that in the end you've just said that it can't get any better than that, then the Leader version came out! Sounds like Hasbro is taking notes! lol
That's exactly how I've felt after watching a handful of these. This stuff would've annoyed the heck outta me when I was little. :x That said, curse you peaugh, you're making me wanna restart a Transformer collection...
hey peaugh do u heve problemes with the back thing with his wings bcuz mine is really loose and it doesnt hold it i mean i just touch it and its out of place
Niblet's a lucky kid! She'll probably inherit your transformers collection! you should let her join more often, that way she will learn how to review the toys when shes old enough.
@barricadedude643 Do you mean the little tab and that keeps it folded? If so i fixed mine by putting a tiny bit of model glue on and letting it dry to keep it tight (not glueing it together)
I just picked this guy up too. I looked at the instructions after transforming him a few times, to make sure it was all right. Then I noticed he's missing joints in the hands, knees, and the guns don't 'pop out' like they do in the instructions. I can see that those joints are molded onto there, but don't actually exist... what in the hell. Wish they actually pivoted, so the hands could fold into the jet like it seems they could :/
I agree with what peaugh said. Prime, Starscream, and Sideswap are the 'must-have'. I'll have the starscream in a couple of days. Yahh.. After that sideswap.. Taking one step at a time. ;P
Okay, can somebody please tell me! I just read that the "preview" Soundwave and Bumblebee will be in stores tomorrow, May 15. Is that just for the UK or for everywhere? Will the US get these at this time or are the "preview" figures coming out on the 30th with the first wave? I personally think there are no "preview" figures. I don't no why people are calling them preview figures if they're coming out with all the rest.
... y'know what I'd like to do? Take a Starscream toy from one of the three movies, and repaint it with his G1 colors, like they did in the first two movie-games. But I wanna do it with greater detail to see how the recolored jet-mode turns out, if I repaint it exclusively for robot-mode. Just looking at how the colors are lined up in the video-game, I know it wouldn't look like that during the transition.
I hear you. Macross valkyries make jetformers look like bricks with wings. But they cost like 3 to 4 times the price of a leader class transformer! So, a little chubby voyager for 30 dollars... I'm ok with that.
When she said Starscream... I literately melted. Soo cute. ^-^

That was adorable! Too cute. I have a 2 1/2 year old daughter and she loves to play with Daddy's Transformers!!!
Ah, I love how parents always think the rest of the world is just as interested in their larvae as they are.... : ) It's adorable, really it is.
Wha
@@michaelwave9831 I was in my 30s when I made that comment. I'm a lot more mature, now.
Oh lol
Ironically, I'm watching this video after I just got this starscream figure as a birthday present, crazy right?
@@michaelwave9831 Neat! I still remember getting the G1 starscream toy in like...85. had to ask my mom to transform it for me.

its amazing how toy designers can make a toy that can really transform into 2 characters ..in this case starscream robot and f-22
yeah I noticed too,but look at the box pic,it has some diff. paint jobs indicating it is a premium series.

This one's tempting, I love that he's a more accurate F-22.
I heard there's supposed to be a Leader Class tho... anyone know where this rumor started?
great review Peaugh im definatley getting him now. your "assistant" is so cute and you call her niblet aww lol

is that the voyager class in grey? ive only seen voyager in a brownish sandy colour

do you think that when he is released that the released one will have the gun poping forward gimick?
