    I was that teen who fought everyone and everything. I was told that I was the rudest kid he ever met. I thank God every day that my mom let the law take care of me at 17. I hated her at the time, but I learned a lesson from it..... going from a dropout to a Masters degree. My mom saved me by not being a savior.... I needed more help then she could give. My mom was amazing... it was all me

      You deserve a lot of credit for not just owning your past words/actions, but also for turning your life around.
      Masters is something to be very proud of so as a mom of a teenage daughter, I hope she turns her life around. Her father is the problem more than she is, so hopefully University changes her behaviour. Your story is inspiring so I enjoyed reading your journey to positive choices. Well done!!!

      They learn their behavior from their elders - at home. The first spoiled brat with the vodka in her pants has a mother who ruined her for life, by never saying "no" and giving her whatever she wants. The second brat with the bad teeth, DaJah, steals from others and lies about it. Wherever did she learn that was okay? Three guesses. We all have to grow up eventually, but some don't have very good role models for parents. If you get away with it at home, it's guaranteed you'll try it in public.

      Has nothing to do with race, but definitely with sex...
      Most cases with WOMEN are drastically lowered or dropped vs a man committing the EXACT same crime will get a far more harsher sentence and a man of color will more than likely have additional charges added.
      Hence why female murderers are almost never sentenced to death (iirc only 3 women murderers and/or serial killers, have been sentenced to death in the last 100 years).

      More concerned that her daughter was arrested and “assaulted” than she was about her drinking. There’s something going on in that home that’s making that poor baby drink. 100% on the mom. I can guarantee there’s no dad in the picture, that much is clear, and it’s honestly sad and breaks my heart. My son is 11. I could never imagine him drinking a bottle of VODKA in 2 years. Like, I’d 1,000,000% blame myself if that ever happened.

      @alexandriav3956 I don't agree with the way either of them acted. However, I will say, many teens are drinking at that age. I don't see why it had to be blown up the way it was. Many have it in their pops. They did even back when I was in school. As a mother to an 11 year old son, I understand where you're coming from. I have taught my son to take responsibility for whatever he has chosen to do. He also knows his rights. The schools here suck. They do not treat anyone properly. So it was important for him to know how to handle it.

    • @Bill_BarneyJr.
      @Bill_BarneyJr. 8 місяців тому

      Littering, Loitering, Vagrancy, Graffiti, and Jay walking, are real laws. Those laws represent an early post-reconstruction dixie policy originally known as "The black codes, aka, Jim Crow Laws. Slavery is prohibited in every state of the Union. No man, woman, or child may be unwillingly forced into bonded labor unless said person has been convicted of a crime or unable to pay fines, debts, or fees owed to the courts. Recently freed broke and homeless black people in Black code counties are guaranteed to be in violation of 1 of those five laws. Blacks people just minding their own business standing around are guilty of Loitering. Newly freed back slaves probably don't have money and likely are broke making them guilty of Vagrancy. Illiterate negros aren't aware that if they accidentally drop something or discard any remnant are guilty of Littering. These laws send African Americans straight to Jail then a Judge who has sentenced you to hard labor for unpaid fines and the money made in custody doesn't cover the additional weekly restitution fine prolonging chain gang sentences. After a few years if a prisoner's family members advocate for their release. Upon release as you step into the street to enter an automobile. The police quickly detain you and affect a custodial arrest under suspicion of guilt for the crime of Jay walking. Jay walking allows the police two options. First just like before they will book you, arraign you, then sentence and fine. Second they can detain you 48 hours then either charge you, or choose not to file charges, and release you simply to avoid additional paperwork. If a former slave could read or write, like signing a hotel registry or filling out a form, makes them guilty of Graffiti. That form or paper ect. is evidence of defacing property. Those laws are still in effect.

      @genellecampbell3968 same here I have 5 as well ranging from 16yrs to 6months. Their friends are almost ALWAYS here because we live out in the country on a little over 2 acres of land. My oldest two kids turned 2 of the 6 sheds into their hang out space. We like to joke thatvI can't function without my husband because I swear I lose everything and he always finds it. He has to remind me to eat and care for myself. I get so into cleaning and making sure he and my kids have everything they need including meals. Then I start cleaning up after dinner and forget to eat. I start working out in the garden and I forget to stay hydrated. I have both low BP and Early Onset Hypertrension so it yoyos and I tend to forget my meds now that my Service dog is retired, so he will call me from work to remind me. But these kids man they will legit act like they NEED the type of relationship that we have RIGHT NOW. They don't realize that our relationship is YEARS of work and effort, fights and apologies, pride and humility. But I can't blame them most their parents are divorced, seperated, fighting constantly or more interested in their phones. They love having dinner here because we have a no phone at the dinner table rule. Face to face conversations only. I really breaks my heart when they say my husband and I are more like parents to them then their own.
