In this step-by-step how to video I walk you through how to add a heat stain effect to exhaust parts for plastic model cars. @TheScalemodelingChannel
Thank you. I saw another modeler use Tamiya Clear Yellow, Orange, Red & Blue. But I also like your 3-color scheme. I'll give this a try on the weekend! Thanks

thanks for sharing. Is there a waterbased metalic brand You would suggest for Acrylics as I don't have an airbrush. Thamks
Vallejo paints have been pretty good.
Thanks for the video. I’m new at this. I’m assuming you let each color dry between coats.
Yes, but the Alclad paint dries very fast so by the time I'm read for the next color it is dry enough to paint.
@@ScaledDownCustoms thanks for answering. Much appreciated
What did you use for the black vase coat?
The gloss black base coat was also Alclad.
What is the Hot Metal Violet? And did you coat the whole header with it?
That is an Alclad color. I only hit the curves, not the whole header. It is meant highlight or accent the burnt metal look.
Looks Good!!! How do you decide which colors go where??? I'll be watching
I start with the bends as that is usually where the highest heat concentration is on the 1/1.
