@@Sapphirekiller Swaps that don't make any 3-in-a-row, 4-in-a-row, L or T shape, or 5-in-a-row, and the game automatically undos those swaps

When the invalid swaps happen, the game regards the swapped gem as not in its original position for a brief moment. If this happens while gems are falling due to a match, this can change the outcome of cascades.

If you go to game files they call it "bej3", added to the fact this is clearly a port of bejeweled 3.
