I wonder how many times this kids says"OUCH,THAT HURTS" hahaha 😂 during practice. This tinikling tho is the easy one, there's another way of tinikling meant for older ones and waaaaaaaay harder.
Tinikling's message is about having a fun picnic on a hill enjoying nature's richness of bird's music and other plants even the fresh air. It's far from portraying a beach however, if that's what they think about our country we may reconsider. They were just 4th graders anyway maybe some of them doesn't even mind knowing about other's culture like what we also do when we were still on our elementary days. They did great.!

They wouldn't have worn white tees cus' then that wouldn't be culturally accurate. Judging from the other kids seated at the side wearing cultural clothing, they're trying to be as accurate as they can (save of course their shorts). Since farmers would usually do this dance, they would either do it shirtless to remain a little bit cool given the hot to humid climate, or do it wearing thin clothing like barongs and loose polos without undershirts. Although, it is pretty odd that only one of them had a polo. Maybe their wardrobe consists mainly of colored shirts.
Because its "hot" in the Philippines during "fiesta season" month of May. We dance that during "FIESTA" In honor of our local Patron Saint we celebrate it.
