I have the same vintage Gucci bag like yours. I purchased it in the late '80s or early '90s...it was my first real designer bag. So glad I did not sell it. Love the new mini.

Love it! I had a navy one in the 80's that had a red/nvy stripe, so I know how you feel, the nostalgia is REAL. I sure hope Gucci brings the navy back and I will pick that up, I won't think twice. In the meantime, Enjoy your mini.
Oh I love the navy one!! I had such a hard time deciding on the brown one when I bought my first Gucci in the 80's. I thought it might go with more things and I was trying to be practical... But that navy combo is gorgeous!! :)

I bought my first Gucci bag from Bloomingdale's during the 1980s. The inside was plastic and tore. Bloomingdale's gave me a hard time about it when I asked them to send it for a free repair. I had my statement to show them I bought it there, but they thought it was a fake! Anyway, they did send it out for repair. And I got so sick of it. I was happy when the leather finally wore out and I could retire it from my collection. I did also get a large coin purse that I used for a flip phone (remember those?). Now I use that to store my luxury goods fund. The only other Gucci item I have is a ring binder address book that is ever so slightly bigger than my LV PM agenda. I alternate between them. Truth be told, the Gucci takes the Filofax inserts better, but I love them both.

Hi Jennifer, Cute bag. I had a Gucci from the 80’s I toss the thing in the trash because the strap broke twice. I keep looking to see if Gucci brings it back. Hi! I'm going to see if I can get the strap fixed on my older bag. It is coming apart a bit but the bag is still very usable. :)
Congrats!!! I got a ton into it, it's a very spacious bag, got phone external chargers card case key case with room to spare.

It has a few little issues, but for the most part, and for how much it has been used...it is still in surprisingly great condition! :)

Matalese mini. I have that and I use an emperient key pouch in it my key fob my iPhone X’s max and I can fit my reading glasses in it with no case. Or I can use a mini pouchette with stuff in it and out my card and money in that and my iphone

Is it true even at the shortest strap setting , it’s still too long for petite girls?
It is a long strap drop...I am 5'5 (165 cm) and I have it on the shortest setting...which is perfect for me. I will show more in my upcoming video.

The strap was a bit long on me, as well. I sold mine because I found it to be too small. You could perhaps take it to a shoe repair person and have them add another hole in the strap at the perfect spot for you.
Oh my goodness! They changed this mini! Or is it a different size ? 🤔 I. So confused! I have the ophidia mini and the key chain inside isn’t removable ! I wonder if they just changed that ? Would love to know the dimensions of your bag, and price, just to make sure it’s the same one I got... so confused over here lol. Anywho super cute bag! Tfs xo ❤️

I am almost positive it cost $250. That was a HUGE price to pay in the 80's when I was 19 and in college! It sure went up in price over the years!!! :)
