Hi, what PSU do you have? Because I am going to buy a PSU but it does not have the ATX 3.0 feature. I want to know if I can install a 12VHPWR cable in this power supply. I hope you understood because I do not speak English and this is a Google translation.
Ive seen both a 3 x 8 pin and 4 x 8 pin pigtail configuration for these cables but do you happen to know which is needed for any particular cards andnor power supplies? 🤔
Well it will tell you on the page for which one you need but if you still need help you can tell me what power supply you have an I'll send you the link :)
I’ve had it for a very long time an have cleaned my computer every two weeks as it’s a habit of mine to make sure no dust builds up. I have taken it out quite a few times and had zero issues. Just put it in properly where you know for a fact it’s in an that’s all she wrote. It’s really the extreme cases where a burned cable will happened from what I’ve research and seen. (If that’s what your asking :) )
@@iKisho hard to remove my cable from my connector. I didnt do it when i have been upgraded my motherboard. Everything work fine with this card no issues just affraid of it was melted thats why i couldnt remove.
@CS-amegmondo no that sounds about right. You have to kinda fight it sometimes but not due to it being melted more because it’s clinched down onto the card very well. Happens once in a while. If it did melt than your card definitely wouldn’t be turning on so look at the facts in front of you and go from there! :)
hi, i would like to buy the same cable but i didn't understand what cable buy. I would the same cable in white color for an msi gaming x trio 4070 ti and i have an powersupply Corsair 850W. Please can you help me ?
Hey, so it depends on what power supply you have and since you have a Corsair, you’ll want to get one listed under Corsair. I went ahead and found the link for you. :) cablemod.com/product/cablemod-c-series-pro-modmesh-sleeved-12vhpwr-pci-e-cable-for-corsair-white-16-pin-to-dual-8-pin-60cm/
Sorry for such a late response but it hasn't given me any issues other than the plastic white piece coming loose and the pieces that hold the cables together snapping in half. Honestly it does have quality issues and I bought three of them which all had the same issues. Lucky you don't notice it at all. Imo I wouldn't buy it, for shipping it's pretty expensive for a cable that breaks easily.

YES! It won’t come with the 12vhpwr cable, but you can buy one (that works with your PSU) and connect it to the 8pin pcie outlet on the PSU
It looked like that connector came back out a bit when you let go 😬
It does look like it on camera but it was in fully. What pulls back is the excess cable.
Was that cable mesh or flex ?

@@iKisho thank you
Case is Lianli ? no problems with closing case with this cabel?
As long as you position the cable correctly than you’ll be fine
Bro is it me or does the little cap at the connectors for cable mod come off easily? Was plugging mine into my 4080 and slides off pretty easily
Yes it does. I've had it come off alot when messing with it. Same with the clips that keep the wires neat. They seem to break very easily :/

how has this cable been working ? i hate how much im paranoid of changing anything for fear of melting/ power issues
It’s been great. I have a couple friends that have some with zero issues other than little cosmetic ones.
@@iKishosweet just installed mine was holding off until I had a positive response
Awesome, hope you like it :)
Does this plug straight into the psu? Or is it an extension
Yes it does
how long are these cables ? worried it wont reach my psu
I don’t know the exact length but in my case which isn’t a small one, it reached.
How has it been so far no melting ?
Yeah my house burnt down :(
No I’m kidding. It’s been perfect haha!
Is that a 3090?
No, it’s a 4090 :)
