As a person who has lost a lot of weight, I know two things about this problem. No matter what diet changes are made, it's all about how to look at food. As a society, we have turned eating into entertainment and rewards. When food is looked at as medicine and energy, not rewards, it's easier to limit and eat healthy food. The second is self-image. A low self-esteem justifies over-eating because this reenforces their belief. As with drug/alcohol addiction (been there), recovery from over-eating is all about how we look at the problem.

No. This useless drivel is what keep people fat and feeds the scammers in dieting industry.
It's not magic, it's not psychology.
It's all about the choice of foods. Nothing else. Not portion control, not exercise. You eat good food, you're not hungry and don't need to snack. Addiction is physical and goes away without carbs.

Carbohydrate related water loss is sustained weight loss because when you realise you don't need carbs you never eat them again in any damaging quantity.

Losing weight is about controlling insulin. Lower insulin equates to better weight loss results. Carbohydrates spike insulin more than protein and much more than fat. Get it? Zero carbohydrate, high fat, adequate protein is the best diet.

Simple answer, yes. Cut all the carbs possible but keep the natural ones.
