This 2021 Toyota Prado Land Cruiser is one of the best looking SUVs in the Market Today. But to find the DIESEL variant is another rare find. Like this model right here will be sold by the time this video is up. This Prado is a baby land cruiser 200 that actually has better technology and features than the LC200. I feature the Prado Interior, Prado Exterior, Prado Feature, and Prado Drive Impression. This Land Cruiser Prado felt like a proper luxurious off roader with great features that we need in the Philippines. Toyota Land Cruisers are still an icon for success and abundance. I want to really put this vehicle to the test someday.

The land cruiser 200 and Prado will always stand the test of time.Your grand children will inherit them. Its built like a tank thats why the UN buys a lot of them.

I just love how you inject korean language. It is very informative.
When you use the 2nd start button, the car will start from 2nd gear. It's great for queue driving as the car just runs a whole lot smoother. It can also be used if your stuck, in order to get a bit more momentum.

I think it will be much more practical to go for the Fortuner LTD (which has almost identical features + a 2WD option + JBL sound system as a bonus), but if you want the heritage this one is the one to go for. Great review 👍

17:10 that is a drink storage, you can keep them cool by opening that air vent. In other countries, if you get higher trim models that storage is actually a fridge to keep your drinks cold, it's really nice specially during hot season/summer.
yes. Usually when they are cooled vents, they open and close when you twist them. But here, it did not so I was curious.

Still interesting to see the international version of the car. In the US, we only get this car as the Lexus GX 460 with the 4.6L V8. Neat to see how different the interior and exterior are.

Although I disagree with the argument of choosing this diesel over the petrol variant. 2.8L I4 turbo diesel cannot March the refinement and smooth power delivery of the 1GR-FE 4L V6.

Right! I own an FJ I love the 4L V6 Gas Engine 👍 But the gasoline is quite expensive here so people prefer to own diesel vehicles
@@SoJooCars great car! Same engine on the Prado. I have a Prado also but with the 1GR FE engine; she turned 9 last April. Yes petrol is quite expensive and you have to use 95 octane fuel or higher. Trade off though on fuel costs is a car that we can run for 30 years or 300,000kms at an average of 10,000kms per year.

A bit low spec. there in Filo. The VX model in Australia also comes with Rear Diff Lock and Fridge in the centre console.

I think the 2021 model is the last of its kind. All the good things/upgrades of the lc 150 boils down to this year model. Including the dpf and a power imcrease.
Toyota's not making this model next year. Their making a new model. New things comes with issues i think.

Sadly that’s the case as the Prado and Land Cruiser 200 are considered luxury vehicles in the PH. It’s like comparing MB in Germany and the PH.
Despite the hefty price tag what you and your family will get a reliable and durable body on frame SUV that you can bring anytime, anywhere hassle free. Prados (petrol and diesel) can run up to 300,000kms without fault compared to other manufacturers. Something worth considering..

I see that Toyota has not changed that cheap infotainment system. Its the same one from my 2019 model. I also noticed that this model does not have the drive selection mode.

Well if you limit yourself to the TLC sold by Toyota Philippines, you will definitely NOT HAVE value for your money; their TLCs here are lacking the basic features TLC in North America, Australia, and Dubai (UAE) have, even their "top of the line" variants here are not top of the line compared with those mentioned countries.
I don't know why Toyota Philippines treat Philippine market as can't afford or undeserving of the best TLCs when a lot of luxury car importers are selling those imported TLCs, particularly Dubai & Europe versions, who are doing very well in their sales, year after year.
So, if you can tell your Toyota guy to offer those real, premium, top of fhe line TLCs here in the country, that would be much appreciated.

The 2.8 now has 204ps and 500nm of torque, whereas the older 3.0 only has 163ps and 410nm. If they're both priced at above 4m but the one with the newer engine is around 70k more, why the hell would you still settle for the older one? Lol.
@@w1ldm4n82 I agree! That’s why I’d settle for the cheaper V6 variant. You save almost P1M in acquisition cost but gain a lot in terms of better refinement and NVH coming from the V6 petrol ⛽️
@@mercboy111 i'd settle for it too if petrol fuel here is only a lot cheaper than diesel. Sadly higher petrol fuel prices and large displacement petrol v6 engine that isn't frugal for its size doesn't scream practical. Thus it has lower resale value as well. It really depends on buyers preferences regardless of their respective srps tbh.

For my opinion I still choose this over than the fortuner bcoz I love full size suv's but the problem is the price and engine is NO for me, for that price I rather buy a luxury car brand or add more to get the LC v8 and I think they should still use the old 3.0 instead of this small 2.8 engine for a full size suv!
Fyi this 2.8l is much powerful than older 3.0l lol. 204 ps > 163ps.

@@mercboy111 really? The ford everest 4x4 sold with diesel engines weighs around 2.4-2.5 tons. The prado weighs 2.3 tons. Also, if it's underpowered then what more about the lc200 4.5 v8 that only has around 230hp.
@@w1ldm4n82 aren’t we talking about the Prado? But if you want to talk about the J200 Land Cruiser, my answer to that is simple: no replacement for displacement. A V8 will always be a V8 no matter how we all try to put it.
As you said, the Prado weighs 100kg lighter than the vehicles you mentioned; get the V6 petrol. Power is at 274ps and torque at 377Nm. Put Perron Blaze on it and you’re done 😃

You are in a Prado and you have the same engine displacement with a Toyota Innova means Innova will accelerate better than you.
Yes sir. Agree ako dyan. Toyota got lazy in using 1 engine displacement for 4 types if car. Innova hilux fortuner and prado. Problem is they just Tuned the older 2.8 engine with stock 177hp ang 450nm to make 201 or 205hp and 500nm. Downside parang nag paremap ka lang sa Toyota at hindi sa labas. Kasi maski bagong bili now if mag accelerate na usok na ng itim. Si Innova lang at and naka detune kahit 2.8 pero pansin ko walang usok. Hihi. Sana same engine na lang ng LC v6 since Almost same price naman. Ngayon 2022 model ng prado at LC300 napakalayo ng features ng LC300 sa prado pero ang presyo 1m diff lang. Ahaha. Downside talaga makina ng prado na pang innova(detuned)/fortuner/hilux 😅. Ok lang sana if may crawl control Multi terrain select may height adjustment at may rear diff lock. Kumbaga lamang ng LC300 is engine. 😅😅😅
Almost same engine, torque and HP with the 4x4 Fortuner. You can buy top of the line Fortuner plus TOL Hilux Conquest for it's price. As usual Toyota is always overpriced!
Yes, but this rides on a different suspension; it rides on the same platform as the 4runner and lexus gx while the fortuner rides on the hilux suspension so it is nowhere near the comfort level of the prado. The prado is much more refined and has KDSS while the fortuner doesn't, even with the top spec'd one. Just get the V6 one for power, it's nearly a million pesos cheaper and maintenance on the engine will be cheaper long term, at the cost of guzzling fuel of course.
Exterior is fine…. Interior is so outdated.

Price is too much for an "almost Fortuner like"vehicle. Wheels look like the one on Q variant. Same engine with the LTD. I rather buy a CX8 or CX9.

Had that kind of judgement as “like Fortuner” before. But, after my test drive for LC Prado. The comfort feel is way different. safety features, 3rd row sitting, Full-time 4WD, etc. LC Prado is another level. I have a CX8 AWD, very comfortable, a quiet diesel engine, sexy car like feel, more for a city driving and light offroad. Not a rugged type compared to Fortuner or LC Prado.
