Love watching your reactions. I am 59 year old woman and sometimes I wish I could just give you a motherly hug through the screen. Not sure of your age but I'm pretty sure your younger than my daughter. You are very wise , especially for your age. Many blessings to you and your family.
Loved the quote in the beginning, thanks for adding that in there I think it’s a great idea! It’s your channel girl do it 😉 you can sing the song if you want lol.
I’ve recently gone through some tough stuff and starting my life back over. Growth is hard but it’s easier once you accept it and make goals to make life better step by step 💗
Loving your reactions and rewatching this along with you, such a good show I love the characters, keep up the amazing work!
I first watched this video about eight months ago and now I'm here watching it again. I love the part in the video where you read a little from that book
"Life's Journeys According to Mister Rogers"
"There are many times that I wish I had heard that just who you are at this moment with the way that you are feeling is fine. You don't have to be anything more than who you are right now. I'd like to think it's also something that's happened to me through the years. That I'm more able to accept myself as I happen to be, rather than as somebody thought I should be."
I love this quote, I believe everyone should hear this growing up. I wish I did.
I love that video of Fred Rogers where he testified before the Senate Subcommittee on May 1, 1969. It's incredible that he was talking about mental health all those years ago. The world needs more people just like him, people that care, someone like you Imon who brings a light into people's lives.
You're beautiful, always.
Just to be clear, Dougal did not kill his wife. His upset was very real.
Sam and Caitriona (Jamie and Claire) have the best chemistry in the world
I warn you: the end of the first season is really difficult to watch, but it is worth continuing
She should have known right then. Cyanide wasn't discovered/created until 1782! Almost 40 years after the time frame of that dinner!
I really appreciate your thoughtful review.
Thank you for stopping by and listening!
When I was growing up I was taught to treat other as you would have them treat you. Also, my maternal grandfather always said if you want to prey to god, you don't need to go to church, you can do it sitting under a tree. When I was young we went to St. Peter's Quamichan Anglican Church, that is until we moved to Caycuse, which is a logging camp out in the middle of nowhere. I also would like to say, I really like the next episode "The Devil's Mark".
I love how Claire and Jaime's bond grows so gradually. The next episode is a rollercoaster (I'm sure you've seen it already).
That quote from Mr. Rogers is what made me re-start the video to watch your beginning. Ta. 💕
I love you're reactions to this show. Just a heads-up Season 7 is coming out soon and it was already confirmed Season 8 will be the last season. Wanted to let you know so you can think of the show as long-term world building
They're in the process of creating a series about Jamie's mother. She must have been something special because so many men from the series seem to have fallen in love with her at one point or another! I'm happy we'll have another outlander series to look forward to... if it's any good!
18:00 Irish Wolfhound.
LOVE Fred Rogers! Thanks for the quote.
pretty sure the dogs we see in this episode are Scottish deerhounds, though could also be Irish wolfhounds. Very similar looking breeds
I tried a forty day fast once, too, but I only made it to twenty-seven. 🙂
I love Mr. Rogers. That movie about him that came out a few years ago was very good.
Go ahead and sing!! I'll be singing along with you! 🙂
The song is adapted from an old real one about Bonnie Prince Charlie gone in Exile
“Claire is Belle from Beauty and the Beast”
I loved Belle since I was a kid and love Claire since I watched Outlander. I never made this connection before. It makes sense why I love Claire so much and how she beat Elizabeth Bennett as my #1 fave fictional character. They’re my top 3. I love your reactions, just know that you may skip some scenes if they’re too much. I’d rather you skip reacting to some heavy scenes than be overwhelmed by them. Claire and Jamie’s love is beautiful but the time they’re in and some of the people aren’t.
I thought the same thing about that white fur trimmed hooded cloak she was wearing. "It's Belle!" 😂
Your roller-coaster with Dougal is very amusing Imon. You want him to be a good guy so badly! Probably due to Graham McTavish's handsomeness 😉
Knowing that he's been having an affair with Geillis the whole time, even while pursuing Claire, would be the end of it for most people... 😅
I do not have a high opinion of Dougal, as his actions paint him as a man with little control over himself and his emotions, yet he has a hugely inflated ego of himself because of his physical prowess compared to Collum. But being dumb, Dougal doesn't realize he's dumb (Dunning-Kruger effect), so he keeps blundering forward with his own plans without regard for the consequences. And every time Collum chastizes him for his stupidity, it fuels his hate-fire that he should be in charge.
Haha yes Dougal doesn’t seem to have much control over his emotions and he’s quite unpredictable. I can finally see the light now.
That's because Dougal is a narcissistic sociopath that gives zero effs about anyone but himself, as Claire so astutely points out. It's not that Dougal is dumb, he just DOES NOT GIVE A DAMN, narcs don't think they deserve consequences.
@@ImonSnow He's EXTREMELY predictable for those of us that have dealt with narcissists.
hello ...i am a proud Scottish man and its great to see people from all over the world learn and appriciate the Scottish culture and history.....and many of us Scots are still very much highlanders to the core.
i hope you feel better soon...life is a marathon and sometimes we are running uphill, but just let go off any mental negative thoughts and trust me you will be running downhill and your heart and mind will be free.....xxx
Another one of my favorite parts lmfaooooo
good episode once again, future episodes will be even more intense..
I really like what you said at the end.
I wasn't raised with religion and I can see some of the positives but the negatives seem to outweigh them.
A lot of people unfortunately use religion for greed, power, and control. Far too many authority figures are trusted and deferred to even with evidence of their corruption and unworthiness to lead by example. People are taught to deny their own agency and morals to protect those in power and invest in hierarchies that do them harm. It's heartbreaking to see the almost glorification of suffering and the 'rules' that disproportionately disenfranchise the most vulnerable in society and victim shame when they set up those cruel systems and benefit the most from them 💔
More and more young people are questioning authority and tradition and the status quo and saying we demand better 👏👏👏 and the older people in power are freaking out because they've been taking advantage all these years and got away with it.
The game is rigged and that's still not enough for them.
And yet another time Claire did not listen to Jamie when he asked her not to contact with Geilis. I love Claire but her stubbornness is irritating sometimes and causes a lot of trouble not only for herself. She didn't learn her lesson from lashing her 🍑 unfortunately.
I don’t think karma is something you can wish on someone. Wishing I’ll toward someone and karma are two different things completely. These people who seem they’re thriving bc they’re financially well off, are likely getting what’s coming to them in other ways, or will.
Like others have said, Dougan didn't kill his wife. I didn't trust Dougal either. I wanted to ask you, are you a fan of Patsy Cline? I've noticed her greatest hits album in back of you since watching your reactions to Outlander. One of the greatest voices in Country Music.😊
Thank you all for confirming that for me because I was confused for a second! And I do love Patsy Cline! I really adore her voice
He might as well have killed his wife, he didn't care that she died and his MISTRESS was the one that killed her.
I don't think Dougal loved his wife. His reaction was either an expression of a rather too late regret for neglecting her or of a self-pity or a show for the audience. Whatever of that three was a straight proof of his narcissistic personality. I've seen this too many times not to acknowledge that.
Dougal didn't kill his wife
Might as well have.
I love your reactions. So I went back and watched the Queens Gambit with you. Really great. You really need to watch the movie "On the Basis of Sex" Epic movie on woman's rights. I think you will love the way it all went down in the 70's.
Yes, the whole BS SHOW that Dougal puts on for the family is just that, it's a SHOW. It's an act to make people believe that he cares about anyone himself, he DON'T. He's a narcissist.
