    Hi. The way I was told to measure ABV was:- OG= 1024, FG= 1002.. Now subtract OG-FG = 40. Next calculate 40 divided by 7.46 which gives you 5.361.... Next I add 0.5 for priming (adding sugar to a bottle or a keg), which brings the ABV to 5.861... Rounded up gives your percentage of 5.7% ABV. There seems to be many ways to do this, but which one is the correct one to use and why? Your way seems to be a lot easier, but it comes out with a lower % ABV. Are you adding your priming amount of 0.5?

      If you goto 2 mins and 43 seconds in the video and calculate the figures he is putting on the screen, his math is completly wrong. the answer should be .044.
