Krispy Kreme are much better, but have to be eaten warm from the store.
Yeah but thats not realistic. Most people eating these donuts are not eating them still warm. Someone picks up a dozen donuts and leaves them on some conference table
Each has certain ones that are better
10 - 15 seconds in the microwave and nice and warm
Straight from the conveyor belt 🤤
Man they don’t have to be eaten hot for them to be good. Plus the only ones they serve warm are the original glaze
Dare y'all to go to Krispy Kreme when the HOT sign is on, get a dozen and get out of the parking lot with more than 3 left in the box. They truly melt in your mouth. Don't forget a drink and LOTS of napkins!
Nummy 😊
NC guy here....! DAMN IT, Man...! Ummmmmmmmm.....! Hot.......and you cant even pic em UP......??? !!! OMG........and Ice cold MILK...! Gods Creation. Lmao
Hot glazed from Krispy Kreme. I’m not a fan of Dunkin at all!
You can't beat Krispy Kreme right off of the conveyor belt.
This.
Yep, my family and i always sit down right after ordering just so we can eat it fresh. Delicious.
If we go inside, they always give us a free one if they’re on the conveyor belt. So warm and melted!❤️
I know people who have the app that tells them when the Krispy Kreme hot sign is on.
The best is KK hot right off the line hands down all day every day.
Krispy Kreme all day and everyday! Dunkin' lost their way a long time ago. On the cream filled ones you both voted Krispy Kreme, but only gave it one point!
fact!
100%
Yeah i don't get it. I feel like it's not just Dunkin but most chain's aren't what they used to be. Hardee's used to be banging in the 80's. BK.... KFC... I swear even Wendy's made a better burger back then.
Like, you've got a hit. It works. People love it. You did all of the hard work to establish this great product. Than 10 - 20 years later business owners are like..."mmm Nah. Let's not make our stuff good anymore."
@@Novaximus sad facts! i have not had a wednys meal i enjoyed eating in ages and a few others u mentioned also
@@Novaximus Most people don't remember, but before the mid 90s, McDonalds used to use real beef tallow to cook their fries instead of that garbage "vegetable oil" they use now, which is actually much worse for you. Their Big Macs also used to be bigger.
Warm the Krispy Kreme glazed in the microwave for 10-15 seconds and it will taste as if it came off the conveyor belt.
I came here to say this! ❤
15 seconds is way too long tho
Kinda but not exactly.
8 seconds is perfect...
Back in the day they used to put a recommendation of exactly 8 seconds on the boxes, and that worked out perfectly.
Krispy Kream... No question! Pillowy, softer, lighter!
If you want the most choices, you have to go at about 7 a.m. Krispy is more expensive, but worth it providing you aren't buying daily.
Thanks for the Pro-tip! Your right the expense is worth it.
It's hard to beat a standard glazed krispy kreme donut when the red light is on, signifying they're coming hot off the line at the time. if you can get them then while they're still super warm and the glaze has just started to set it's heavenly.
Nothing beats a plain glazed Krispy
Kreme fresh off the conveyer belt still dripping with warm glaze
Thanks for sharing! We need to head back to try and get the fresh off the conveyor Doughnuts!
@@thebritstrya quick google search will let you know when the hot light is on at all the locations
They are both good, but the Krispy Kreme donuts are a little better, as long as they are fresh. Over the years the quality of the donuts at Dunkin Donut has gone down a little. I just had a couple Chocolate long johns from Dunkin Donuts the other day and they do not taste as good as they used to, the dough they use now does not seem to be as good as it was years ago.
And btw, you are right about Krispy Kreme having a bigger selection of donuts, Dunkin Donuts never has a big selection of donuts, a lot of the time when I go to Dunkin Donuts they barely have a selection at all, and they will even be out of their main sellers a lot. Krispy Kreme always has a big selsction, and I think their dough is better and lighter.
The donuts at Dunkin Donuts is more doughy, and not as good as it used to be. I think they changed their dough recipe a couple years ago to save money, and now they are more doughy.
And 6 donuts here at the Dunkin Donuts in Washington Illinois is about $10.
Most Dunkins don't even make their own donuts in store anymore. They come in frozen from a central kitchen and they thaw them out.
The KK glazed, when fresh and warm is the best donut ever.
Krispy Kreme all the way.
Try and get there when the sign is on because that means they are making fresh donuts. And let me assure you, there are few more delectable luxuries than being given (yes, for free) freshly frosted - seconds old - donuts and eating them warm-to-hot. Granted, you may loose the first layer of skin of your mouth if it comes into contact with the molten sugar. But still, the experience is so beyond worth it. Everything is so fresh and fluffy and ethereally sublime.
Thanks for the tips! We preferred the Krispy Kreme as well!
Krispy Kreme is way better than Dunkin. Not even close. Also the Krispy Kreme chocolated frosted custard filled is the GOAT.
Thanks for the comment! the chocolate frosted was delicious. Thanks for watching,
Dunkin stores don't all make the donuts in house. Usually 1 larger area store bakes for all stores in an area. Krispy Kreme bakes fresh daily on site. so KK will always be fresher and have a better variety
Good to know, Yes we were surprised by Dunkin, It was just a small cabinet in a dual shared restaurant. Krispy Kreme was a full production store. Thanks for the information
When i worked for Dunkins in the 80's we had to fill every space in the case,no empty's allowed. We cook on site as well, now they get shipped in.
Krispy Kreme any day of the week. My wife prefers Dunkin, mainly because it's more bread/cake-like, which she loves. I prefer the texture/lightness of KK, and getting the glazed right off the conveyor is to die for!
Yes, us too! We are craving some Krispy Kreme right now!
How can you eat all those donuts without coffee or tea????
Coffee is a must pairing with donuts. Bitterness compliments the sweet and hot beverage helps wash it down.
It's easy to not eat them with coffee, tea or even milk. I never eat any kind of doughnuts from anywhere with coffee, tea or milk.
Ok, i can see that.
AS a child, if I had donuts with my Dad, it probably involved coffee or hot chocolate, so that was a learned experience from childhood. My bad...... :)
I hate coffee and don't like most hot tea. If I get donuts, I'm either eating them without a drink, with water, or with an iced drink / smoothie of some kind.
Dunkin’ are baked or fried by a co-packer and shipped to each location nothing is cooked onsite. Krispy kream is made fresh throughout the day way fresher
We found the Krispy kreme to be fresher! and worth the extra cost.
Both have their place and fans. If you like a cake donut then you’ll go for DD. If you like the lighter yeast doughnuts then it’s KK all the way.
Here is what I think: Make sure you try a local or mom and pop donut shop. Be sure to try glaze, apple fritter, peanut if you can find it, maple, ....
I agree. If I have a choice, I will always choose a mom and pop donut shop. Chains are never as good. Apple Fritters and old fashioned are my favorites.
Seriously. This all day. Locally owned donut shops are the way to go.
KK is better than Dunkin’, but neither one of them is a best quality donut. It is certainly possible for a small, local donut shop to make better donuts than KK, but that doesn’t mean that every one of them always does.
@@markhamstra1083 KK cannot be beaten.
@@SilverSergeant KK is easily beaten. Ask any pastry chef.
What we all want to know is what time did you show up to buy donuts? Dunk cooks in the wee am.. Krispy cooks all day.. if you want variety and less time on the shelf.. buy before 8-9am.. Now Krispy.. I do not like them any way but fresh made. In a box at the store they taste like day old McDonalds fries.. awesem as your driving out and home.. same thing! And Ma'am.. yoou crack me up... I thought you Brits had more grit than that.. I will give you props for trying some items you though or still do not like from your past..
For my money nothing beats an original Daylight Donuts simple glazed donut.
Fresh glazed Krispy Kreme all the way!
Thanks for watching, we definitely have to head back to Krispy Kreme to try the hot and fresh donuts.
Krispy Kreme hands down. I was in London a couple of months ago and saw Krispy Kreme there as well. Didn't go in though.
You are absolutely right, but definately wait for the Hot & Fresh sign to turn on next time. You can get an original glazed right from the conveyor and dear lord you will taste a heavenly pillow.
Krispy Kreme for sure
Absolutely! which is your favorite flavor?
Krispy Kreme for glaze, Dunkin for Boston crème.
A warm glazed when the light is on is life changing.
We really need to head back for the light on experience. Thanks for sharing
I love Krispy Kreme , especially when they are hot and fresh with some cold milk .
I agree Krispy Kreme is better. I like just the plain glazed the best.
We also thought they were better! Thanks for sharing
Krispy Kreme hands down! Especially freshly made.
So good! Thanks for watching!
I’ve had dunkin donuts overseas and their not overly sweetness is on point. Plus they have more variety with real flavours. Kk is all about extra sugary glaze and whatever flavour donuts they have just taste like sugar and more sugar, a diabetics dream
Dunkin is actually trying to focus on their coffee and branch out into other breakfast items. They even dropped 'Donuts' from their official name back in 2019 and are just Dunkin now. Personally prefer their donuts because I find Krispy Kreme way too sweet and sugary, it's almost like candy.
Easily Krispy Kreme
I used to work at a bakery in high school, ate sooo many donuts that i can’t even tolerate the smell. But I watched because you guys are fun.
Oh, no... if this is a thing that happens, remind me never to work at a bakery 😅
Dunkin’ Donuts are good if you get them very early in the morning. Krispy Kreme’s donuts alway taste too sweet and greasy in my opinion.
My favorite donuts are from Duck donuts ( check to see if they have them in your area) you will not be disappointed.
Agreed about Krispy Kreme. They are so gross. I'm not a huge fan of Dunkin Donuts anyway but they're better than Krispy Kreme.
Our Duck Donuts closed. 😢
KK glazed are sugary and blah. Prefer Dunkin’s glazed chocolate and blueberry cake varieties.
I think it depends on where your raised has a big impact on your favorite donut chain,
Dunkin is more northern and KK is more southern.
Im southern, so I pick KK, but I recently discovered Duck Donuts bacon maple donuts and I fell in love with them.
Sorry, you guys did yourself a serious disservice. If they arent still warm, they need a few seconds in a microwave to get the real taste test. But fresh and warm is a totally different experience.
A crispy creme glazed donut has to be heated a little to get its true flavor.
Fresh Crispy Kreme Doughnuts are very addictive and will cause blood sugar spikes.
We can see how they can cause blood sugar spikes
Krispy Kreme when the Hot Donuts Now sign is on. A warm KK is the best!!! Cream filled glazed is my favorite.
Thanks for sharing! We liked Krispy Kreme.
Krispy Kreme definitely better in my opinion as well
Krispy Kreme was really good!
You two are the cutest, sweetest couple reviewing on youtube. New sub and wishing you much success with your channel from Florida!
Thank you so much for your kind words and support! We appreciate it! Thanks for watching!
Krispy Kreme is by far the superior donut. Because Dunkin’ Donuts are so much more doughy they’re really are only good for dunking into something (milk, coffee, hot chocolate) and they aren’t that great at that either.
Crispy Cream raspberry jelly filled is my most favorite donut
You've immediately skewed the results by not having the Krispy Kreme plain glazed in the store right off the conveyor belt. It's a transcendent experience.
Thanks for the comment! We also preferred the Krispy Kreme and we need to try the hot and fresh off the line donuts, next time. Thanks for watching,
Original glazed Krispy Kreme, fresh and warm out of the fryer is all you need. All the other toppings and fillings unnecessary. Dunkin’ can’t touch Krispy Kreme on its best day. Pop that glazed Krispy Kreme in the microwave if it’s not warm still.
Not getting the chocolate glazed is a cardinal sin.
My personal favorite is Shipley’s, a small chain in the South. But you have to buy the donuts when they first open so the donuts are fresher. Some places have a “hot” sign and I believe the Shipley’s donut rotates when the donuts are fresh.
Thank you for sharing. We have another donut video to upload from Austin in Texas and will try and finish it soon.
Growing up in Tennessee and having had TONS of Krispy Kreme donuts and a few Dunkin' Donuts, I can tell you have Krispy Kreme absolutely crushes Dunkin' when it comes to freshness, the lightness of their donuts and the variety of flavors. Like everyone else is saying, the best way to have Krispy Kremes is the basic glazed donuts while they're still hot and fresh off the conveyor belt. Most shops that make them also have ICE COLD milk, which pairs wonderfully with the warm glazed donuts.
Totally agree! Krispy Kreme's freshness is unbeatable.
Yes, I agree Krispy Kreme is the better choice, and the one with the raspberry filling is so delicious.
Thanks for sharing! We found Krispy Kreme fresher and tastier, that raspberry filling was delicious.
My favorite of the two is Krispy Kreme.
When they have the hot sign on they have fresh glazed donuts. So good. At home we microwave them for just a few seconds to make them taste fresh again.
I do like their Boston cream, which they call chocolate iced, custard filled. They have one that is chocolate glaze with Kreme filling. Don't like that one.
The glazed raspberry filled is also great.
Those are pretty much the only ones I like.
Dunkin donuts used to be good a long time ago. But find them more often to be stale as you mentioned it.
My favorite place to go is to another chain, called Shipley Do-Nuts.
Sometimes you have luck with a small mom and pop place.
If you have a local shop try Duck Donuts. They actually use cake batter for the the base and they taste so rich. Also their toppings are more generous and complex.
Not really. They’re bland as crap, fresh from the store. They USED to have more toppings, but KK closed that gap in recent years.
A stale KK is better than a fresh DD.
Krispy Kreme are the best period and when you see that "Hot" sign on you must stop! So fresh, light, and delicious!!
Dunkin' are made remote and delivered to the stores frozen then decorated. While Krispy Kreme are made fresh in the stores a couple of times a day. KK cost a bit more but very well worth it!
Thanks for the info! The Krispy Kreme were definitely better!
Krispy Kreme when the HOT sign is on, and you get a box while still warm, are a light and fluffy and soft heaven in your mouth. They melt into nothingness and leave a trace of sweet goodness on your tongue. OMG.
Krispy Kreme
You were 100% right! Krispy Kreme is the best!
They were delicious!
Krispy Kreme *BY FAR* is the more superior donut!! Fresh Krispy Kreme when they’re warm are sooo good! Dunkin’ is known for having hard, stale like donuts that taste like they’ve been sitting there all day. Nothing beats Krispy Kreme for me!
Dunkin is food for donkeys or other livestock. Hot light Krispy Kreme glazed is food for angels. It is the first thing you are offered when you die and get to heaven. You can eat as many as you want and not get fat.
Hee haw hee haw !
You have to have Krispy Kreme "hot" with a big glass of cold milk....that is the best way to eat Krispy Kreme...
Krispy Kreme all the way and either hot and ready or the plain glazed put in micro wave. Even the stale ones microwaved taste like an fresh one.
Aren’t you in California? The land of a zillion donut shops? Or is that just northern CA?
The Midwest in general also has a wide number of donut shops that are both chains and local shops. I think even on the east coast Krispy Kreme has kind of been replaced by chains such as Duck Donut as KK has gone heavier to grocery store pickup (I don’t know a single grocery store from the Atlantic to the Mississippi River that dosnt have a KK display inside) vs separate bakery locations.
Sixteen dollars for 6 donuts??? Crazy! If I had to choose it would be Krispy Kreme. Pop the glazed one in the microwave for 10-15 seconds - when they are warm they are divine! I do miss my Tim Horton's donuts from Canada though. They do have a few stores here in the states but not where I live. My absolute favourite is an apple fritter. Its donut dough with pies of apple incorporated and cinnamon and sugar - so yummy! Great video guys!
You are so right.
That Krispy glazed one had the most glaze I’ve ever seen from that company.
Lol! yes we were very lucky with that one!
Definitely right! Krispy Kreme all day over Dunkin'. Also if I'm not mistaken I believe Dunkin' has their donuts shipped frozen to them whereas Krispy Kreme makes them fresh at the store. That may explain the staleness of some of the Dunkin' ones
Cream needs to be Hot n Ready and eaten immediately. The warm ones never make it home!
A few thoughts -
1) Krispy Kreme prices do vary based on the location. Near me, they are about 20% less expensive than they are in San Diego.
2) It looks like the location you went to charged you incorrectly. They charged you for two (2) 3-packs at $8.35 each. A single 6-pack assorted at the same location is $14.69. It seems that your cost was artificially inflated because of how they charged you. This would have helped make the price differential between Krispy Kreme and Dunkin' a bit smaller.
3) Krispy Kreme donuts win, hands-down. They're always much fresher and give much more of a "melt in your mouth" experience, especially when they're fresh off the line - as so many others in the comments indicate. Dunkin, however, can vary - based on location. The majority of Dunkin' locations bring their donuts in frozen - they just thaw them, warm them, glaze them, etc. - which is why even "fresh" at Dunkin doesn't come anywhere near the freshness level of Krispy Kreme.
Thank you for clarifying this, we did not realize that they had charged us like this. Krispy Kreme donuts were much fresher.
One of the two makes them in a central location and ships them in not necessarily hygienic trucks, which I have seen myself. good choice
I love a good doughnut debate.
Absolutely! which is your favorite?
@@thebritstry I may be a bit of an outlier, but I prefer cake doughnuts. They are denser and more bready, but I love them with a cup of heavily creamed coffee. Lemon, blueberry, or simply frosted… you can’t really go wrong.
Love both. Grew up with Dunkin and absolutely love it. Krispy Kreme, from an honest point of evaluation, is the superior donut overall, but I would gladly eat either one and be happy.
Yes! any doughnut is a good doughnut!
Kristy Kreme are the best. When the outside light is red the donuts are cooking!! Im missing those being in Boston. First thing I’ll get back in FL is KK donuts yummy, enjoy
I agree, Krispy Kreme donuts are a delicious treat! Thanks for watching
I prefer Dunkin because it tastes like my mother’s. Krispy Kreme is yeast and Dunkin’ is cake style. Two different ways to make pastry. They really shouldn’t be compared.
Dunkins has both cake and yeast donuts.
My mouth is watering 🍩
Yes i am craving some Krispy Kreme right now!
Krispy Kreme are the best. The only fair way to try them is to wait for the “hot doughnuts now” sign to be lit, and then get them hot off the conveyor belt.
We didn’t even realize that Krispy Kreme did hot doughnuts…but now we know we are going to have to go back!😂
Krispy Cream is always the best!!
The best is straight from the fryer hot and fresh
The main problem with Dunkin Donuts nowadays is that they only seem to be showcased in small cabinets in gas stations anymore. Now when I lived in NC, there was one on Spring Lake that made them there. But it's hard to find those stores anymore. All the Krispy Kremes you go to, however, are set up just like a factory in the back.
Yes we were surprised by Dunkin, It was just a small cabinet in a dual shared restaurant. Krispy Kreme was a full production store. Thanks for the information
KK for the original glazed and Dunkin for plain cake...coffee is delicious at both places!
The problem I have with Krispy Kreme, is everything starts out as a glazed donut, and then the extra stuff is added. That's why the chocolate just tastes like sugar.
Krispy Kreme only when hot!!
That's what we found too! which is your favorite flavor?
You guys are amazing together.
Thank you so much for your kind words! and Thanks for watching
Yes 🙌🏾 you picked right!
Thanks for sharing! and for watching
Krispy Kreme is by far the best.... with a tall cold glass of milk!
Yeah, I don't think Americans really debate which one is better. Most people know Krispy Kreme is the better donut, but Dunkin is sometimes more convenient. Krispy Kreme will turn on a red neon sign in the window when they just made a fresh batch, so people will literally pull over the car to grab some warm donuts!
We didn't know about the Red sign! Thanks for the information, Great information to know
Krispy Kreme always. You probably didn’t know, but you wait to buy them until their sign lights up with the word “hot”. When they are hot there is no comparison for me.
Thanks for the comment! We also preferred the Krispy Kreme and we need to try the hot and fresh off the line donuts, next time. Thanks for watching,
Look for the Krispy Kreme "Hot Donuts Now" sign. When that is on there is NO BETTER donut.
We really need to look out for the sign next time. Thanks for the tip
Krispy Kreme hands down is better.
We preferred Krispy Kreme too! Thanks for watching
As someone who has lived in Boston where Dunkin started, I prefer Krispy Kream!
For me, Krispy Kreme original glazed, Krispy Kreme chocolate glazed, and Dunkin Donuts French krullers (? spelling), all served warm are the best.
Thanks for the tip! we will have to try the Dunkin Donuts French krullers in the future.
Nicola, I'm with you on the NO for the custard filling. Raspberry Jelly filled is my FAVORITE from both places but Krispy Kreme always takes it.
Krispy Kreme did change their portion size a few years ago. Krispy Kreme for the WIN despite the price difference because they are made fresh daily unlike at Dunkin. Now I do love the donut holes at Dunkin, particularly the chocolate glazed. THEY ARE ADDICTIVE, lol.
Krispy Kreme glazed is the crack of donuts.
You had to get them out of the fryer in the Krispy Kreme store. But they are good. But nothing beats the original glazed, hot out of the fryer
If you go to crispy cream while the lite is on it means they are currently making them and they will give you one fresh off the maker they melt in your mouth
Krispy Kreme donuts are made fresh on-premises, while Dunkin' has their donuts delivered daily, just like a supermarket, and that is why they were out of donuts - At Krispy Kreme, they just make more. KK has the fresher donut which is ironic because years ago, Dunkin' would advertise that their donuts were made on-site. Their commercials had the baker waking up early in the morning saying "Time to make the donuts." Not anymore...
I'm Old School I Grew up on Winchell's and Yum Yum Donuts I think they're the Best out of them all ❤
Winchell's were great!
You are correct, Krispy Kreme for the win!!!
Thanks for sharing! We enjoyed krispy kreme!
Krispy Kreme has been my favorite hands down since I was a little kid and I'm almost 69! I haven't found anything to top them!
There is an app you can download that tells you when the Krispy Kreme Hot light is on and I may or may not change over several drivers lanes to get to it lol
Well, folks.. there's a new Sheriff in town.. It's called Parlor Doughnuts. These are a croissant style doughnut. Layered and fried. Freaking awesome. But your gonna pay a premium price for the goods. Unfortunately, in my town, all the local private bakeries with specialty of doughnuts have closed. We miss them. So we have KK and Dunkin, plus the Parlor doughnuts.
