Hi from a Belgian colleague trein driver (just retired), I'm also a keen British oo gauge trein collector era 1 to 3. Quite a collection you have in stock there. One that's very high on my wanted list is the 1930's red EFE London transport stock. Also got a very rare A class 4-4-0 nr 23 as it sits in the London transport museum, as a kit from Keyser. But it still needs to be assembled. Also some other underground stuff, two versions of the Heljan Bo-Bo's, and the Bachmann London transport pannier tank. Anyway, saw a few of your video, all nice to watch, thanks for making these interesting video's…
@@UndergroundEric Indeed. When I was a Canadian-Born kid i didn't know they were called "A stock" at that time of course. I was living for two Years years up on the 7th floor in Chiltern Court, (above Baker Street Station), and all I knew then was I could sneak up to the roof and peer down into Baker Street Station (and the Metropolitain line) and watch the Tube. Some were LT red but most were in the silver back in 1967 1968. It was more fun than BBC! Your model Collection is EPIC and even though I live in Canada, I still love "the Tube" and always will. Cheers!
Eric thats a brilliant collection, I won't lie to you , but you've woken up the green eyed monster in me!!!!, I really hope some manufacturers start producing modern underground tube stock!!!
Hi Eric I follow a fellow train driver who records his work, he pulls out of Acton Yard to Angerstein Warf, St Pancras Church Yard etc known on here as “Frieght Rambler” he was posting regularly but I digress Absolutely brilliant work fella someone who paints Slot Cars & locomotives I know all the hard work that goes into producing this quality of work, well done fella & thank you for taking the time to post
Eric French Sorry Eric it’s the same as when I worked for BT everyone assumed you would know everyone else! & I didn’t realise that there were multiple companies running out of that yard Freight Ramblers videos were excellent as they gave an incredible opportunity to observe the network at a slower speed and as for someone constructing a OO modern image they are absolutely brilliant Many years ago I used to drive through Harefield to a small coppice where I was a member of a Field target club! So now I’m rambling on but I did read an article about the 66’s which was from interviews conducted by 66 drivers and the vast majority of them hated the thing said they were noisy poorly set out and equipped...Thank you for taking the time to reply 👍
Impressed to see L11! I have some pics from the cab of it. I know some of the crew that are working on the museum. As I work on the Central line, I pop by from time to time!
Hi Eric, this is the first time I've seen your channel and subscribed without hesitation. Absolutely love the Underground theme and its given me ideas for own layout. Really good stuff and looking forward to seeing more in the next video. All the nest, Lee
Those FGW Mk3s are like gold dust - especially the buffet! I've ended up going for a mixed train FGW PCs, 3 FGW MK3s and 5 GWR Mk3s. 👍 I love your London Underground stock, looks amazing 😀
McMetro they deffo are. Thankfully there are a couple decent lads out there who sold me them for a reasonable price! Im recreating the OOC ‘last HST’ as i was there at the end when the lights were turned off so to speak :)
Love the stock Eric, very jealous of your collection! Just looked at Metromodels and was blow away by the eye-watering price of the kits. I've always been tempted to try and build an underground station but at over £400 for a 4 car unit, definitely a non-starter on the rolling stock front
Nice collection Eric plus the layout looks amazing with the Tube Stock as I always wanted a S Stock model. I also have the Rail Operations 37800 I very much like the livery. The Chiltern models look amazing as I do like the new and old Chiltern liveries. I also own 43093 as I went to the Open Day at Old Oak Common with my step dad it was a great day for me. Nice O Gauge collection I am starting a O Gauge project soon
Impressive collection. Love vintage buses, Underground rolling stock and Souther Region EMU's myself. Wondered if someone would collect Underground stock, love Standard stock of 1922, through to 73 stock and everyting in between. Thanks for showing this.
That CR 165 is hella cool, i have 3 NSE 166's. Im drawn to there odd shape as similar age goes.i just got my NSE 321 motorised and i found it a utter pain ...
Great collection. Thanks for sharing. The London Underground network is fascinating, as is the rolling stock, not that I'm that knowledgeable of the types. I used to live in Tolworth and lived nearby until recently, so our nearest Underground was the District Line from Wimbledon and the Northern Line. I'm old enough to just remember when tube trains had guards on them. The ex D stock TfW class 230s are currently on test between Bidston, Merseyside and Wrexham. Definitely going to get a ride on them when they enter service. I've also seen the ex class 319s, now 769s on test and training runs at Southport. Since moving my nearest line now is the Northern Line, just it's in Merseyside. GBRF run the Biomass trains from Liverpool Docks. As a GBRF driver, have you delivered any of the Merseyrail class 777s?
Thanks! It sure is interesting and has a great history. I have seen the 230s in person, nice work that vivarail have done. The TFW versions look even better. Ive not delivered a 777 no, have done a LNER 800 though but thats all
The ones i know of are either made by bowser or north west short line. Keep in mind these are American so I’m not sure if they will work with the models you have.
Hi Eric. You certainly have a great collection. My favourite would be the ‘34 Piccadilly stock which I always remembered ticking when waiting at the platform at Rayners Lane. The T stock did not seem to have a shoe beam? I am currently awaiting a suitable time to have a ride on the vivarail units from Bletchley. It was also weird to ride the tube stock on the island line complete with strap hangers!
Thanks Alan, yeah the standard stock is a lovely little model. I will get round to sorting it out at some point im sure. Unfortunately i get bored quickly so dont tend to see a project through in one go! The T stock is unfinished but will indeed have shoe beams, good spot! they are a lovely looking unit, its a great idea!
Yeah, cool collection!!! I rode some of these cars on the Piccadilly Line years ago... I subscribed your channel :) Regards from Berlin (also as layout on my channel)
Hiya its one of the ones from Aldi or Lidl, cant remember which. They only come up once in a blue moon. They weigh an absolute TONNE mind! It still isnt long enough to be honest
Really Great modeling work, Lad!
Great tour.
Excellent transport collection.
Thanks for sharing.

Nice collection of train there Eric. Good trains. Especially the s8 or s7 stock. Nice liverys. On the trains. I love trains 🚆. Nice video 🎉
Very nice collection Eric.
I loved the old 1962 Silver stock on the Met line I grew up with as a wee lad.
The A stock were lovely eh!

I dream of having a collection like this one day

CrownStreetTMD thanks mate. Yeah its a very expensive part of the hobby unfortunately, i assume its a big part of why its so uncommon to see
Blimey, for that money I'd expect electrically-operated working doors!
Great video, very nice stock very jelous especially the isle of wight dinosaur stock!
Locoforce thanks! They are hard to find now. I believe metromodels may still have a couple knocking about
Excellent setup including the background. 👍🏽

Haha! Legend has it Dave is some sort of amphibian, so thought it would be rude not to include him 🌚😂😂
Love your collection! I'm biased in admitting the Chiltern Stock is my favourite with seeing them at the top end of the Chiltern Mainline!
Dudley Central thanks pal! Yeah they always caught my attention too, i really like them. Under-modelled area also!
Great video.Good update too.
Love the London suburban type stock and the layout looks amazing!
Thankyou!!
But have we seen all of the layout; if so, where do these trains run to?!
simply wow and wow
Where can I buy the motors for the Bogies wheels so I can fit them myself? Love you UA-cam channel

I subscribed your channel :)

Cheers! Thats cool! Ive used the underground a lot growing up so its cool to own a few also!
Really nice !
Impressive stuff.
In love 😍 xx
Where did you get your glass cabinet from. I've been looking for one (wich is long enough for a 4 car set on each shelf) for months.
Hiya its one of the ones from Aldi or Lidl, cant remember which. They only come up once in a blue moon.
They weigh an absolute TONNE mind!
It still isnt long enough to be honest
Where did you buy them? They look awsome!
Love your collection but can you recommend a place for me to buy London Underground train models as I’m struggling to find some
Thanks! Your options are mainly Radley Models or MetroModels!
One more thing where can I get brass metro Models 1992 & 1996 stock trains?
I have a 96 but unpainted and needs building up
@@UndergroundEric Is there any where I can buy one?
Do any manufacturers make 4 rail track for LT modellers?
You have to build it using peco insulator chairs and code 60 rail
that 1992 looks cool at 11:53
what to you search on ebay for you to get the brass models
Do you have or do you know anywhere that sells the couplings used on the London Underground models (35-990) I can’t find them anywhere
Where do you get the train and stations from?
It’s so cool
I know I’m VERY late but I just want to know how to get the legomanbiffo trains?
The trains are nothing to do with legomanbiffo.
He just makes sound files for the loksound decoders
@@UndergroundEric oh yeah I’m stupid
I wish that someone did a N gauge version of the S Stock
dous the one your selling on ebay have people inside because I bought a Bachmann s stock London Underground train and it had people in it
They dont come with people as standard. Someone must have added one in.
Im not selling any at the mo
One more thing where can I get brass metro Models 1992 & 1996 stock trains?
Is there any where I can buy one?
where do you get the metro models brass models from
Lucky dip on ebay/through friends!
We're did you get the S stock
Super well gel if all this LU goodies 😭😭😭😂 I defo want some radley models stuff
Amery Junction why not eh! You spend enough on other bits, you could clear them out too! 😂😂😂
Eric French hahahah , I’m defo going to get some 1000% next month . Just need to work out how to build it .
How the hell did you afford three of the S-stocks?
Selling kidneys!
Do gbrf still use the 20 is so what are the numbers
The S Stock contract has finished now, but GBRF had 20901&20905 in their colours.
Also hired other harry needle 20’s.
The Bachmann mk1 suburban coaches would be perfect for your layout
Do you think? To go with what loco?
@@UndergroundEric The London Transport prairie loco. ua-cam.com/video/lxlZXXb8Pvg/v-deo.html
I’m going to get an model train set 1995 stock northern line trains
sir john benjamin, last time at least , ran with a red 4vep and sarah siddons
Busses and trains 121 you are probably thinking of the LT owned 4-TC, i get confused between them too!
@@UndergroundEric i mean, they are identicle
Busses and trains 121 pretty sure VEP is a powered unit, a TC is only coaches. Look very similar though
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!! You’ve got loads of trains Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
35:23 Its A Mk2 but great video
West Coast Model Railway ah really? I wasnt sure so cheers for that!
i want to go to that train
Jealous of those underground s-stocks - so hard and expensive to come by.
Sure are!
