Thank you for the tips, I have an old painting of my Grandma and the frame used to be gold but now is an ugly brown, only problem is I can't remove the painting from frame. I have painters tape and I will have to be careful, if mine comes out as nice as yours did I will be happy. Wish me luck :)
Is the golden iridescent paint a substitute for goldleafing the frame? What would be a good solution for cleaning an old frame before painting it? Soap & water?
Cool stuff. I tried my hand at making frames a few weeks back... a lot of work. Still working on technique. I thought about looking for some older frames from thrift stores but couldn't find the sizes I needed. That gold looks really nice with that type of frame.
