      Hello Eric,
Thank you for this lesson! I'm still a beginner on the violin and I have staccato as challenge, but you're great the way you teach.
I tried getting access to the guide but it's not loading anymore please kindly repost the link, thanks.

You touch upon a lot of stuff other jabronis dont even bother to mention in their lessons. Thank you.

Today I discovered a channel that is criminally underrated!
Here's what I struggle with in my staccato(first time learning it yesterday):
Weight distribution, contact point and sometimes I accidently hit the neighbor string and it would sound like a double-stop(because I press too hard aka problems in my weight distribution)

Thanks so much! Perhaps you may consider the height level of your bow arm. That can avoid playing double stops. Thanks for being a part of this community!

Eric, thank you. Very comprehensive, I'll try to incorporate, with lots of repetition.

In the Suzuki book one I am struggling on Allegretto. I have the accents and ritardando down packed, but I can’t seem to get the staccato part. I feel like staccato has this kind of bounce to it and is not just pressing down on the strings. I did all the exercises you mentioned in the video, but I still don’t sound good. Is it just more practice I need or am I missing something?

The speed is challenging for me. I don't know how to fix this. I try to do things slowly, and it goes pretty well, but when I speed it up, it doesn't work.

Hi can i have some questions, how do i lay down the bow at the tip without it bouncing,i've tried to not use my pinky and maybe transfer weight to index but my bow hold will just collapse

It could be how you’re angling your right hand that is causing to put weight on the bow at the tip.

Problems with? I've tried every pro's suggestions. Probably rigidity is the problem, with the polar opposite being Perlman and his light as a feather grip but great bounce. I just dont get it.

Well, he also uses an excellent bow that makes it effortless

@@erictheviolinist recently bought a second, fiberglass type non- wood bow, they called it a starter bow, it's lighter weight, maybe I should experiment
