This dude is a great motivation to listen to as an entrepreneur. Very underrated probably because he is focused on one region ,africa. Thanks from India. Mr Vusi you need to start adrressing to global audiences.
I thank God that Vusi came up for videos recommendations. I have been viewing other channels for entrepreneurs. And yes they are educational, but it was hard to relate with them and sometimes it was soooooo boooring. Now I am learning and laughing. God bless you and your Generations!
I wonder how we can institutionalize Vusi without distracting him on his journey? Perhaps we should create a lecture (Annual or otherwise) or another consistent platform where he can, on a regular basis, share his experiences and lessons with us while we build a structured library of it for entrepreneurs
Vusi you inspire me, pleas come to talk in Israel . We will pay the ticket to your lesson Untill you will com tank you very much for your free lessons in you tube. :-)
Living apart from your family in the same city?????? Because of work????? That's ridiculous and you will regret those lost years Vusi. Family also has its place. And you should be ruthlessly dedicated to them as well. I wanted to love this video but that family part has just ruined it for me.
@Vusi: we are so alike bruv. wish you more greatness. We still gonna have to do Nigeria. I was in Nam one time. Wish you all the very best. one love bro
Talent is not enough You have to learn sales as an entrepreneur Don’t rob people of suffering Create a business not to work in it First get a job.Go get a job Be careful who you let in
This system of parenting he is describing before 3:07 time into this interview used to be common in I think most African communities generally. I am from Nigeria and I can relate. Some 20 years back, you can't afford to misbehave. One mama or papa is always around the corner to set you right such that your parents will tell them thank you afterward. As much as times have changed and people have evolved, I am sure we can still hold such values dear to keep it up.
Vusi got my idea...I wanna be a stand up comedian, but I considered doing corporate events for their entertainment and what I realized is...Most of these guys never research the company they are performing for to engage with their audience...I mean if I am gonna do jokes at SAP, my comedy should be centered around IT or the business itself...Why do jokes about Mandela pre 94 at an event like that...Tayloring my performance for my client gives it that special touch...Hell I even pictured myself asking to shadow the company for a about two weeks before the event so as I can generate new material for them...This is why I am not prone to clubs because you can joke about anything there but when you bring it close to home for your audience, your network grows...No idea is original but I am glad to see that the idea actually works and that most comedians or public speakers never change up to suit the audience they want...Pity I am not into this business anymore though.
Many global companies started small, often in humble settings like kitchens, garages, or bedrooms. These entrepreneurs catered to local markets before expanding. This approach shows that great ideas and successful businesses can begin anywhere with determination and innovation. For example, Apple was founded in a garage by Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak. Similarly, Jeff Bezos started Amazon in his garage, initially selling books online. These stories highlight that starting small, focusing on local needs, and gradually scaling up can lead to significant success. The key takeaway is that you don't need a fancy office or large capital to begin your entrepreneurial journey. With passion, hard work, and a focus on solving real problems, you can start from anywhere and potentially grow into a global powerhouse.

One profound lesson that I derived from this insightful talk is FOCUS!!! on one single business first and built it from the ground up. I confess I'm the kind of entrepreneur who has been all over the place doing different business ventures and my Focus has been split.
Thank you for the motivational speech Mr.VUSI i am from uganda and follow every speech of yours from you tube . i have learnt that there is no strategy in business especially as you start also loved the CASE model where we copy anything else
This was a phenomenal interview... it brought precious light into many of my business problems. There is one thing though in minute 53 that I have to warn Vusi against, trading family life for business persuits. I believe it if you believe you can keep balance, you can but if you don't believe you can, you can't. But trading family association for business persuits is a price I think no one would pay if they really knew what the long term consequences of that are.
i love Vusi Thembakwayo and he is just on fire. but id like to commend the lady interviewing him. She is really good. Her questions and follow up questions top notch.
as a young businessman Vusi is 100% right do not diversify unless you are well established..
