If I sprinkle some loose leaves and dirt on rubber mats for demonstration, just about any vacuum would do this just fine. How does this do with real-world messes like dirt in carpet, tracked-in mud or bits of leaves/grass that have been ground in?
I appreciate the critique! I think from a high level we first need to assess what different tools/cleaning methods are used for what task. Here we focused here a little more on how long it takes or how many passes you have to make to pick up the debris. Now how would it work in "your" real-world mess (I want to be sure to stress the "your" aspect because, after all, my car doesn't have carpet anywhere and that was by choice therefore, it is "my" real-world mess) but in any case I suppose I would have to say it depends on the mess. To expand on that, for a carpet that has wet mud ground into it, a vacuum would probably not be the best tool for the job (in my opinion) and would be better suited for something like a power washer or some cleaning method like @TheDetailGeek expertly shows that involves water+aggitation because I would say a carpet in that condition would more require a wash as opposed to vacuuming or a combination of both. As for how this vacuum would perform on a mess like the one you described, I suppose it would do just about as good as you'd expect a vacuum to clean up grape juice out of a carpet. No discredit to the vacuum as again it's just not the tool for the job and as a matter of fact, in our head-to-head competition video (ua-cam.com/video/hhwBZco9hQA/v-deo.html) you can see that there are definitely some key differences like weight, ease of use, attachments, etc... between each and every model we tested and this one performed very well!! Hope that Helps! I sincerely appreciate your comment and view! Thank you👍
@@BroncoOutdoors Thank you for the video link. Your pet hair test was a little closer to what i had in mind. Carpet tends to have things stick to it so it will typically be what makes or breaks a car vacuum. Also- grape juice the same? really? LOL okay dude. good luck with your videos.

This vacuum actually does not have a built in battery and only works off being plugged in. For some users thats not ideal and they like having a bettery but for others the ability to have super strong suction 100% of the time of the job your are cleaning is more important. I would say I prefer deivces that plug in because if there is one thing I am notoriously bad at is remebering to charge up my device and having it charged for when I need it. But there are pros and cons to both sides. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching and commenting! Please subscribe!
I have this. It sucks for lower end car carpets and is terrible for pet hair that is attached to it. Suction power ain’t the greatest but for the price it’s decent.
I definitely appreciate you sharing the experience you have had with this item. @@latanya777 Hi there, I would say that is a good combination since the dry vacs tend to be more handy, portable, and lighter, and wet vacs tend to be larger and heavier so might not be a bad idea to have one of each, but I am sure there are some great vacuums that are both wet and dry
Maybe this is a dumb question but I don't understand how the power works with plugging it into your car with out turning the battery on of your car?.... He just said I plug it in and that's it. He didn't say I turned my car on or maybe not the engine but hopefully you know what I mean.
Hi Jennifer! Thanks for the comment. Most vehicles that have 12v sockets typically have 1 socket that is directly connected to your ignition so it willl only work when you turn on your car. Does it suck in water? Like can i detail my car with it ? What if i spray soap solution on the carpet will it suck off the water from the carpets? Is it that powerful or capable of that stuff?
The power of it I don't doubt but I would be careful with sucking up water. Those vacuums are specifically designed to not let water get into the motor and I would probably say this vacuum is not best suited for wet stuff. You will most likely want to look into a shop vac type. I test one of them in this video: ua-cam.com/video/hhwBZco9hQA/v-deo.html
"It works" but barely. Enough power to get loose bits but VERY DIFFICULT to get anything embedded, let alone pet hair. It's just too weak for that and not suitable for my needs. I'm currently shopping for another. NOTE: I often see these at flea markets where they sell items from Amazon return pallets.
