Every week...
Alonso: My Number is XX
Christy: You said your number was XX, do you want to change that? **blinks in panic, please don't make me do math**
Alonso: No no it's fine **these numbers are meaningless anyway**
Christy **relief**
It's so badass he's still making movies in his 90's. Great review, thanks.
I'm gonna need a copy of the Gladys The Groovy Mule script to read. Sounds awesome.
Awe Alonso. Good 6/10 stories deserve to be made too.
More filmmaker should work like Eastwood and Soderbergh. Just try stuff, keep it cheap, and every once and a while you get a Magic Mike or American Sniper.
Too many filmmakers are worried about their resume. But so few get to do it on a big scale that if I was given a Eastwood type guarantee I’d make whatever I wanted (substantial or not) and that’s what he’s done.
From westerns, to comedies, to rom-coms to biopics about jazz musicians; Eastwood has directed them all!
Clint Eastwood is definition of a true movie star
The last Hollywood star.
After the mule, I just don't have patience for eastwood's work. He isn't brave about weaving a message and lands on booth sides-ism or "things are so complicated" tropes.
What about A Perfect World?
Sounded like Alonzo was gonna give it a way worse score than Christie but they were only off by 0.4 points lol.
Too many little inconsistencies & questionable bits of businss; they're even inconsistent with the subtitles; sorry; hope Mr E has one more (better) one in the tank. He's doing little bits of business that recall many of his previous films to negligible effect.
I know there are vibrant fit 90 year olds and if you want to be working all the power to you but are you really sending them on a rescue mission into another country? This suspension of disbelief for the premise plus title almost makes it sound like it would be satire.
How funny! I thought of Dina too at one particular angle of Marta. Is the kid actor someone? Couldn't they find a boy who was more charismatic to have you care about him even if he's a bad boy? As Alonso recalls, at least Clint didn't end up in a threesome again! Way too long even if Christy thinks he's efficient. If it were anyone else it would be a direct to home video movie. I think there were 9 of us in the theater yesterday at 4pm (the earliest matinee).
I love Clint but this was terrible, wasted my time watching this mess
Political differences aside, it’s awesome that Clint is still making movies and acting at his age. I can’t say his recent work has interested me much, but it’ll be a sad day when he’s no longer working, so appreciate his greatness now.
agreed. it has been a hit and miss. Of all Eastwood directed movies I have seen Unforgiven is the best, Mystic River, Changeling and Richard Jewel were good. Rest were average. Recently he made Mule which was pretty ordinary. But he still has command over the quality of acting and production values which itself is an achievement. At least those things are not ordinary in his movies even if the screenplay and ideas are.
I have a feeling this maybe his last. So lets see how it goes. But credit to him. Rarely has any director, rather no director been able to maintain this level of competence at such an advanced stage of his life and career.
A Latino Gran Torino. 🥱
Always can’t stand Alonzo horrible critique and has such a blatantly obvious bias
So many of Eastwood's recent films have been very sub-par. "The 15:17 to Paris" was an embarrassment. "Sully" was poor. "American Sniper" had a fake baby. "Richard Jewel" was a hideous lie. Clint has lost it in his senility.
I really enjoyed Sully, even though there was a ridiculous amount of made-up drama in it.
I haven't seen any of the others you mentioned because of overt bias (political or otherwise), or because they simply didn't interest me.
@TC Candler What do you mean "hideous lies"?
@@giorgosang3540 It is well documented in thousands of newspaper articles... a simple google search will give you more detailed answers.
@@tccandler I'm not American. The only thing I know is that he was falsely accused of a crime. That's the "hideous lie"?
@@giorgosang3540 No -- Eastwood perpetuated the claim against the newspaper that the female reporter used sex for information. They slandered an already dead woman.
0:35 "Macho is a cock" -- Alonso Duralde, 2021
This movie is so dull, boring, slow, and totally will put anyone to sleep unless you are hyped up on red bull!
I would rather watch paint dry.. stupidest boring movie ever seen
The only people that will like this are 90 year olds who think 40 to 50 year olds are interested in them sexually. Every woman Eastwood came into contact in this movie was dtf for him. It was so stupid
Please review COPSHOP movie 🙏🙏🙏
