In case you were wondering, the team is called "The Oobunch", and it comprises of Oobah Butler, James, Hannah, Andy and Ray. The Eggheads are Dave, Pat, Beth, Kevin and Judith. James played against Hannah (subject is History), Oobah played against Judith (subject is Sport), Ray played against Kevin (subject is Film & Television), Andy played against Dave (subject is Geography) and Oobah, Hannar & Ray played against Dave, Pat & Beth (subject is General Knowledge).
They actually did quite well, and although James's hair was comical, I wouldn't have really thought anything was particularly odd. I would have just thought they were liberal hipster types.

On the final question the Eggheads dallied for what seemed unusally long and pretty much dismissed the correct answer in most of that time. Only for them to do the biggest U turn in British television...Seemed a little bizarre at the time that they went for an answer that they totally didn't consider.
I have a friend who’s worked on the floor of eggheads. They’re encouraged to draw out answers for a while to keep the run time going if they know the answer
