- Reviewing my beloved myABC Lady Dior bag from spring-summer 2019. After owning this bag for over 1 year, I felt it was time to give it an in-depth review as well as show what I typically keep in this bag, my decision process behind buying this bag, wear and tear, plus my final thoughts on whether or not it is worth buying - especially after the price increase!

RAQUEL’S MINI LUXURY thanks! I know, the price increase is discouraging to buy brand new. The older lady dior bags are definitely much cheaper on the resale market. I did notice that the newer versions with the flap closure sell for more. I suspect Dior is implementing the regular price increases to be more like Chanel. Especially now that social media has made Dior very popular among the younger crowd. Perhaps these price increases will impact the resale market to also increase prices. Who knows!

Beautiful 👜 and thorough review! I have the mini and find it too small for my daily needs. I have been eyeing the small/MLD size for awhile, but between all the price increases and my Chanel wishlist, I’m not sure when I’ll be getting the Lady Dior. Congrats on your Dior bag. I love the color, size and the selection charms (very cute). I wish it had the color 2 years ago when I purchased the mini Dior. I know, the price increase was really inconvenient. I was surprised that they were one of the last to do one. Yes, we are all better off buying Dior preloved as they don't retain their value as much.

Happy to find your detailed video. I recently bought this bag a week ago by impulse because it was so beautiful in person and was also the last one of the medium size of the same color as yours. I was so excited to take it home with me that I failed to inspect the bag at the store. At home, I was feeling so frustrated looking for the date code of the bag up until you pointed out in your video that it was inside the zipper pouch, lol. Thank you. Know what? You seem to be describing my exact feelings about Dior... I am not a fan of the badges and the medium size with the zipper has stopped me from purchasing the Lady Dior because of accessibilty. The mini is too small though I love the sling strap. Like your review of the ABC Dior and it seems to fit what I was looking for. Thanks very much for sharing!

Thank you! The letters do jingle a fair bit, but not so much in an annoying way. It's rather musical lol. I forgot to mention there are feet at the bottom of the bag. Also, if you don't place items inside properly, the bag can topple over.

Omg keep it! But, if you're not using it then it's a good time to sell as the price increase means that you can get more more for it than previously. Good news is a lot of people are looking for this bag in this colour, I'm sure you'll have no trouble selling!

Thank you! I tend to wear this bag in spring Summer so it'snot rubbing against bulky dark outerwear. This colour is a medium shade so it's not that vulnerable. But yes, I am careful.

I’m thinking even with the price increases globally and currency conversion, I think purchasing in Europe would still be cheaper for the bag if buying new. elina lall Welcome to the channel! Yes with the VAT return the bag will be cheaper. You still have to pay tax when you come back, but I think you’ll still save. Just have to wait for borders to open!
@@therealshakeen Thanks : ). Actually I was speaking with some friends just recently and they mentioned that Europe is accepting Canadian tourists! I hadn't heard anything but did find a story on CBC as of Jun 30, 2020 saying that certain European countries would be accepting travellers from countries on their "safe list" which includes Canada (it did not say anything about entry limited to travellers to the EU for essential services). That said, the Canadian government still has the global travel advisory in effect to avoid non-essential travel outside of Canada and basically says travel at your own risk/cost... yes, we will have to see what happens with international travel!
elina lall oh that’s great! I would personally hold off on travel for this year atleast. And I wouldn’t fly to Europe just to shop, it’s only worth it if you’re already there for fun.

I haven't had colour transfer issues with this bag as I mostly wear it with lighter colours. However, despite wearing it with black pants, there hasn't been an issue because the bag doesn't really rub against my pants as I wear it. I hope that helps!

I pulled the trigger and got it. you must know I watched this video close to 20 times in one day (the day before i got it) because not only I love watching your videos in general but i love your taste and personality it’s very similar to mine this classic feminine style but with an edge i love it. how you styled the bag is what sold me (been hunting for a pleated pink skirt since then). I actually own tons of pleated skirts/dresses but none in pink. Now I am also looking for matching slingback pumps if you have suggestions?? Dior don’t make the blush J’Adior anymore they only have black or beige ..

Congrats on the bag! Isn’t it amazing they made this colour permanent? The pleated skirt is by Aritzia - it’s called the Twirl skirt and they have many colours available now since when I first purchased. The colour I’m wearing is called Camille and matches this bag perfectly.
As for the j’adior pumps, mine are a seasonal variation. But I’m certain they have loads of similar variations to match.

I think the mini lady dior and the chanel woc are incomparable. I would love a mini lady dior as an elegant day to evening bag. I don't have one currently to give you a comparison of what I'd prefer. I believe price point could be a deciding factor - the mini lady dior is more expensive. I find the Wallet on chain to be more casual than the mini lady dior.

I believe so. The item code I inserted is what I have from a few years ago. Maybe call the Dior customer care number to confirm.

As far as I know, the colour is called "fard" and I think they are bringing it back every season. I know the colours on the website look different. I would call the Dior customer service line and ask. the colour code for my bag in Fard is The bag

Hey! I know this is an old video so I hope you see my comment. I just got my lady Dior abc from the boutique in short hills nj but mine says in made in France and all the ones o have seen are made in Italy. Did they sell me a fake? Where is yours made?
Hey, mine is made in Italy. Most bags from Dior I see are made in Italy. If you purchased from the Dior boutique, it should be ok. Perhaps they do have made in France bags.

Hi! I hope you can reply. Something that is really not talked about is how the handles are always up against each other so that causes friction between the handles on the inside which led to a small dent (barely noticeable) and the blush dye is gone and is slightly white. I’ve recently purchased it and only wore it 4-5 times😂 I contacted my SA hoping for an answer about how to handle the bag because now I’m afraid to use it hahaha it is so so delicate! (It’s the same color - blush)

The Luxonomy *sigh* preloved is great, but I think many on the market have the zipper closure. I did see the my lady dior with the badges on the preloved market and it does have the flap closure. You could always swap out the strap on those. Definitely have a medium on my wish list, but now I’m have second thoughts lol
therealshakeen yes, I saw that most have the zipped closure which is not ideal but then I think of the thousands of dollars in savings and I tell myself to deal haha. That pointer on buying alternate straps is a great one though I guess they’d be $1k alone so might be worth just getting exactly what I want but in Europe 😬

Yes, it's a blush pink but its more of a nude-pink. Fard and Blush are the same, it is now a permanent colour at Dior!

Medium Lady in classic black w/gold hardware has been on my wish list but may wait for a Paris trip to buy it (when flying is comfortable again). Lol true, what’s another $500. Chanel boutiques in Paris are actually very approachable. They know most of their customers are tourists so they are not so focused on your buying history.
Yes... I’ve had better experiences with luxury shopping in Europe as compared to the U.S. with the the exception of Vegas. I always find it funny when sales associates are snobby and I don’t let it negatively affect me. They are after all just working there while I’m shopping there!

Wow I just sold mine. I hated the way the zipper caught my hand every time I dug into my bag. I don’t like that design.
You should definitely check out the newer versions- the flap is a game changer. The only reason I never bought the lady dior before was because of the zipper!

Dior > Chanel in my opinion. Chanel is too common and is everywhere, I feel like so many girls have a chanel. also Chanel has too many knock offs, reminds me of LV.
The flap bugs me. I’d rather it had no flap and no zipper.
I can see that would be more liberating. The flap is not so bag on larger sizes made of lambskin since it's soft. But on patents and exotics - especially in smaller sizes - are annoying!
I think your just making excuses in regards to the price hike cause some of these luxury bag companies have hiked their prices multiple times in a small time frame, I feel like their taking advantage of people during this pandemic but if people still pay of course their gonna think it’s okay to keep hiking up the price why they give all kinds of reason to justify it but I don’t think the reasons justify so many price hikes in such a short time, I think the lady Dior is a beautiful bag but is it worth the price in my opinion no

If you need to save up for a bag, you are living above your means. There are great brands out there with equally gorgeous designs and quality, if not better: Coach, Lauren Ralph Lauren, DKNY, Longchamp. The list goes on.
The Panther you are so right about the brands you mentioned that carry gorgeous designs and make excellent quality bags. I’m a fan of coach and long champ! Coach uses very buttery soft leather and the quality is outstanding. They have some very understated designs that are classy. Tory Burch also has some very nice bags. I’m going to be reviewing teddy Blake so stay tuned.
As for saving up, people save up for a lot of things besides bags- I don’t think that’s living beyond their means. Some people prefer to buy one designer bag rather than 5. But each to their own. Spending right away and going into debt for a bag is definitely living beyond your means.

@@therealshakeen sure! I bought DKNY and LRL and the leather they use lately is very much what you see on some LV bags, super smooth and soft and all different textures. The only thing they are missing is the hype around the brand. And Coach Cassie was invented long before the LV Pochette Metis I think?! I get saving up for a dream bag, just because you have been dreaming about it for a while etc. But I feel like, if you're still renting, not owning a car, have college dept.. is wearing designer clothes something one really should be tempting themselves with? Maybe I'm just getting old 😸 definitely looking forward to hauls from more 'affordable' brands and wishing you much growth with your channel!
