I'm confused, admittedly I don't watch Twinkles as much, but is there something I'm missing. Either he likes Maddie or he doesn't. It seems like such an inconsequential lie. I know lying is bad but if they both like each other...or does he just want to drag this out for drama over his vacation? And watching a Twinkles/Maddie convo is soooooo different from watching a Chatty/RM convo.
@@maeve332 Maybe I just think there are varying levels of lies. That "lie" seems pretty low on the totem pole to me. Is it a lie, yes. Can that be seen as a deal breaker, sure, I suppose. But to me, unless there is a pattern of lies, it just seems so small to have to think about it. She assured him that her feelings are real and she showed him by planning his bday thing. So I wasn't sure if something else had happened to make him hesitate is all.
@@ericthomson9198 It's not a small lie at all. It basically took advantage of his memory loss to trick him into it. Making him think he already agreed to date her takes away the option for him to say no, or take his time to actually date her when he was ready. It shows a lack of respect for him. Her never confessing to him is a lie by omission, which is the same as a pattern of lies since every time they'd hang out she actively chose to not tell him the truth. How is he supposed to trust her after this?
@@TheArg17 If Twinkles didn't like her to begin with he wouldn't have believed he asked her out or could have broken up with her at any time. As I said earlier, if there is a pattern of her lying, then yes, it could be an issue. But to be that upset that she lied on how they started dating even though he wanted to already date her seems silly to me. Unless there is some other piece of info I'm missing, I stand by my statement.
@@ericthomson9198 It obviously would've been far worse if he hadn't liked her, but its still bad. She took away his choice about whether he was ready for a relationship. He was tricked into thinking he consented into something he hadn't. He might've wanted to wait, or ask on his own terms, or get to know her better. He may have liked her but liked someone else too, and needed time to decide between them. She took advantage of his vulnerability to manipulate him, and never told the truth until she was forced to. If it were me in Twinkles position, I'd feel used and like I could never trust her again, and liking her doesn't fix that. It's honestly a bit worrying that you don't see how bad it is.

i mean i feel like even if you like someone thats still a huge betrayal of trust no?
