I'm a student pilot in the UK at about the same point in my training. I am SOOOOO jealous of Sienna's knack for landing. She's absolutely killing it 💪💪💪
@williambates4598, Agreed, that"s why I feel frustrated Chris won't back off a little, keep interfering with the controls at every minor situation. Sienna is an avid listener & not a yapper. She is very capable.
I’ve watched a lot of your videos. You are a really good instructor. The narrative and your patience really shows 😊 also the Alaska scenery is awesome this time of year ❤ I’m in Hawaii and appreciate the vast landscape.
Scheduling my CFI ride, and it's great hearing your comments to the students! I hope to be as aware of the student as you are... You really try to dig in to what they are thinking and going through.
Ive found Sienna's first lesson only 2 days ago and I've been following all along her journey. I'm really hoping on starting pilot school in 2 years. These video's are just so interesting to watch even though I dont understand anything that is happening. Thanks for making it possible to follow along with Sienna's journey!
Sienna's landings are awesome, well done! Great videos Chris, I've loved planes for years but never flew and have just found the GeoFS Sim online flying a 172, landings are tricky. Your videos have taught me a lot, thank you! Greetings from Northern Rivers NSW Australia 🤙🏄🌴🛩️🛩️🌅
I just did my discovery flight yesterday and it was an awesome experience, I am looking forward to getting this as a career too. Fun fact:- I banked my plane too much and one time I almost nose dived my plane 😂 but that aside it was a overall fun experience, watching these types of videos just make me wanna live in that moment again , I am starting my training this summer. Ground school aswell as the flight training itself from the Regina Flying Club. Hope my journey goes well!!
These on going instructional videos are also helping those who may have gotton a little rusty as well . Also good to watch Sienna progress along with an Awesome instructor of course
Great to see updates! Go Sienna! Very encouraging as I work to start up at Bradley Aviation in Peoria. Currently waiting to get medical records from a now-closed clinic (via my current doctor at a new place). Once I get those I'll be getting a consultation with an AME to see if a couple things I have going on would stop me from getting a permit. If his opinion is positive, I'll file for an actual phyical exam. Chris, I really appreciate your style. I'm in Illinois and somehow homesick for Homer AK! 😀
I enjoy watching these videos for it is a constant reminder of the Basics which one can not practice enough. I just got my Taildragger endorsement and the pattern work is 90% from the landing. Thank you for your patience in preparing these videos. ... Greeting from Germany EDBJ
Great video, Sarah seems to have a very calm way of explaining everything and the way she explains things also seems so very to understand and absorb. Thanks
you do a great job at critique vs being critical...you are a good model for flight instruction...as I am still working towards being one as a 'weekend warrior'
First at all, excuse my english. I love your way of teaching. I don't know how many hours you've been with Sienna, but I thing I think you are very intrusive. Forgive me if I'm very abrupt, but my instructor taught me to learn (forgive too because I don't know how to say that sweetly) Either way, keep doing these videos, please.
Great job guys. Sienna on the flying and Chris on the training and video work. The earlier lessons are really paying off here. She is doing great and must have a great sense for judging airplane off the runway height. I still have trouble with it now and then so that is awesome for her. Good luck on future lessons.
Hey Chris, great video, great instruction. Reminds me so much of the 20 or so students that I taught to fly in N2421U. The airplane had the exact same paint job. And looks like it flew the same. The panel was not nearly as nice. Keep up the great work. Hope to see you in summer.
I know many students can safely start landing on the first lesson, and my old view was the earlier the better(and still is my opinion regarding demonstarting pattern and landing). But my current opinion is that it is better to wait a couple lessons and several landings before giving them the controls in the pattern so they are fully acclimated to all of the controls, instruments, and process. This is to avoid information overload on that first landing letting them focus on the subtlties of approach and landing, and avoid setting up bad habits that can make refining landings frustrating later on.
I have a question, since your a cfi, do you teach several students a time or teach just one at a time? And hows your schedule with it, like is it usually busy or not? Thanks, love your vids
Hi, we just bought a plane and paaq and the Orginal owner had a spot right behind what I thought was your plane and it caught my eye when I saw your plane. I had to go in youtube to make sure that was your tail number and it was!
@angleofattack im in the first few lessons of training for my private pilot license i was wondering how often would you recommend flight lessons and how often does she have lessons with you?
How can we train with you? I had my discovery flight yesterday but I didn’t learn much and one of your videos alone I get 100 times more info. I’d be happy to travel wherever!
Would it be possible to add a text overlay with your new flying parameters when you make changes such as altitude, flaps, rpm, etc. so that we can follow along more closely?
No, absolutely not enjoying this. All nervous and scared of heights just sitting here in the easy chair.😿😬🥶 Not your fault. I just don't like heights. Took a couple lessons at 19 and one ultralight lesson at 40. 67 now and well, actually did like the show. By the way, l get terribly seasick also.
Man, I am really thinking about flight lessons..already cleared through the wife lol. Chris seems like such a great instructor makes me hope there is someone as cool here in TN.
This is awesome, I am currently going back to school to up some of my grades after getting out of the military to be able to go for an ATC job opening and If I can make that happen then using the good salary that provides to fund my Pilot dream! These videos have been awesome to watch and I look forward to when I can make this happen for myself within the next few years. GJ to your student! and your excellent instruction!

What is the average time to get your PPL? Wit say 3-4 days a week lessons? Instrument rating? Up to commercial lic

Where do you fly? I’m starting out near Glasgow
gonna start soon too .I m in Surrey (UK) just looking for a good school. yes she did great
@williambates4598, Agreed, that"s why I feel frustrated Chris won't back off a little, keep interfering with the controls at every minor situation. Sienna is an avid listener & not a yapper. She is very capable.
Hey Sienna, you are rocking those landings and Chris is a great teacher.
she was so proud of her self as she should be the glow on her face and that smile. Im so proud of her and love the videos
The trick to a good landing is trying not to land! I heard that for many years and it finally clicked one day! Great job by learner and instructor!!
Best thing my CFI told me that helped with landings. Once we got into the “flare” he’d just repeat “don’t let it land, don’t let it land”. Greased it!
Great videos and learning points you both😊got accepted to a flight school just recently, and these will come in very handy..keep em coming..Thanks🙏
Great job Sienna, those looked really nice and smooth. Chris is such a good teacher too, way to work together!
I’ve watched a lot of your videos. You are a really good instructor. The narrative and your patience really shows 😊 also the Alaska scenery is awesome this time of year ❤ I’m in Hawaii and appreciate the vast landscape.

Good job, Captain Master CFI! 👍🎉

Yeah for sienna !
Great instructing Chris, and great job Sienna. Keep up the excellent work as always. Safe skies 🇺🇸🛩️
Great video, Sarah seems to have a very calm way of explaining everything and the way she explains things also seems so very to understand and absorb. Thanks
She sure picked up the landings quickly!! Like a pro!! Great video, Chris!!
Congratulations 🎉
That was fun to watch! I'm still a new pilot with sub 100hrs of solo flying, but I got to say those landings... Some of them were pure butter!
Pretty awesome!
Great job Sienna! Chris is doing a terrific job at teaching...It's always a pleasure to see young students pursuing the dream...we need more ! Thx

Really well done!
Finally! Huge congrats!
Learning to fly myself and your lesson videos are really helping with understanding the capabilities of the aircraft. Thank you!

Good for you Chris, on calling the “departure leg” the correct name lol 😆🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻. Pet peeve of mine when people call it the “other” thing.

Great to watch as normal. How much does a PPL cost with you? Ball park figure is fine. Thank's.
Landing is one of the best parts 👍

What is your pattern altitude at your airport? I got my license in the 70’s and you make me want to fly again.
Awesome video, and love the hat. Link?
The most surprising thing is that i heard that Zenith on the radio, which I haven't seen move since it parked next to me last fall.
Can I log my time watching sienna as my flying hours???😂😂
We need a video of Sienna solo flight please?
It hasn’t happened yet.
What’s the delay between the lesson and when you upload these videos?
4 months in this case.
dang, she's pretty, your a lucky PIC
What hapend to your a30's? or was this recorded before release?
Before! A30s are here to stay.
Argggg the music is slightly much. Otherwise, gorgeous area to fly around. How many hours does she have?
This really makes me wanna go back up. Chris, why can't you be closer to 1D2? 😂
I want to become a pilot how can I learn
I'm wondering why ambient sounds are so bad/discouraging that we have to have music drumming in the background?
What does it cost for a private pilots license? I saw about $20,000 on another channel. Thats total to have the license.
That would be on the very high end.
Makes me wish I lived near Homer.
I’m interesting
