@williambates4598, Agreed, that"s why I feel frustrated Chris won't back off a little, keep interfering with the controls at every minor situation. Sienna is an avid listener & not a yapper. She is very capable.

The trick to a good landing is trying not to land! I heard that for many years and it finally clicked one day! Great job by learner and instructor!!

Best thing my CFI told me that helped with landings. Once we got into the “flare” he’d just repeat “don’t let it land, don’t let it land”. Greased it!

I just did my discovery flight yesterday and it was an awesome experience, I am looking forward to getting this as a career too. Fun fact:- I banked my plane too much and one time I almost nose dived my plane 😂 but that aside it was a overall fun experience, watching these types of videos just make me wanna live in that moment again , I am starting my training this summer. Ground school aswell as the flight training itself from the Regina Flying Club. Hope my journey goes well!!

Very encouraging as I work to start up at Bradley Aviation in Peoria.
Currently waiting to get medical records from a now-closed clinic (via my current doctor at a new place). Once I get those I'll be getting a consultation with an AME to see if a couple things I have going on would stop me from getting a permit. If his opinion is positive, I'll file for an actual phyical exam.
Chris, I really appreciate your style. I'm in Illinois and somehow homesick for Homer AK! 😀

I know many students can safely start landing on the first lesson, and my old view was the earlier the better(and still is my opinion regarding demonstarting pattern and landing). But my current opinion is that it is better to wait a couple lessons and several landings before giving them the controls in the pattern so they are fully acclimated to all of the controls, instruments, and process. This is to avoid information overload on that first landing letting them focus on the subtlties of approach and landing, and avoid setting up bad habits that can make refining landings frustrating later on.
