Jersey Boys - Can't Take My Eyes Off You (The story of The Four Seasons) HD

- The story of four young men from the wrong side of the tracks in New Jersey who came together to form the iconic 1960s rock group The Four Seasons.
This dude (John Lloyd) was ACTUALLY singing. D-A-A-A-A-M-N!
Joey Ras He was the best Frankie Valley ever since this came out I checked out on Broadway no one touched him he won an award for his performance. No one won since him! The musical they used different people but that was excellent to watch.I'd go again but couldn't afford it.
Ikr!
Madison Gonzalez , I wish I could have been there to see him when he was on Broadway from 2005-2007. I heard he was wonderful. I was only eight and nine years old during the years he was on Broadway. It's a shame I didn't know about it then. :(
Isn't he still doing Broadway?? I heard he is
I don't know, I thought he already returned to the "Jersey boys" musical in 2012 for limited time. To be honest, that's all I know.
"I just lost a kid, and you're askin' me to sing a love song?"
in real life...Frankie lost 2 children. ..within 6 months of each other
+Cecilia Carriedo-Williams thats the bueaty of it because he dug deep due tho the death
+kt wait he lost 2 kids? I thought he only lost one
+Tiger Sharks
yes...in real life he lost 2 daughters within like 6 months of each other. one blood n one adopted.
I know but the funny thing is the kid playin him did a better job the frankie valli himself
This song made me cry, cause not only because Frankie sang alone, but because at the same time his daughter died.
The song was released 13 years before his daughters died.
Shut the fuck up. You only sayin this cause you watched jersey boys. You don't know shit foh.
The film isn’t historically accurate
@@Ad-er5rc because of graham king the procuder and he's gonna do the same with Bohemian rhapsody
Master Chief nah I just watched bohemian rhapsody, it’s true to the real story.
When the horns come in this clip goes from good to incredible.

Brian Hernandez I got chills
Brian Hernandez the was the intention of it :D
+Brian Hernandez when the horns came in, it turned a beatiful song into a beatiful shit
+Kevin Douglass i get chills when i see turd. and that's what the horns did for me. it sucked

I hate to sound like a middle-aged man but I really appreciate the way people used to go out for dinner & entertainment and actually actively sat & listened to the performers! Now everyone would be on their phones either texting or filming something they'll never watch again.
Forget boomer, you sound like an idiot. Tons of folks still go out to a show and give their full attention.
Usually if someone takes out their phone it's just for a minute or two to capture the moment, no more.
They post what they record on their phones
I wish there were places like that where I could take my babe. Every time I see scenes like this in period movies, I always think that is so cool.
I'm a fan of the original song but I'm enamored with this version. John Lloyd did such a great job in this movie
John Lloyd Young is the best singer in the world.
He sure did and almost ten years later he hasn’t been in anything else. He sure is squeezing the life out of this role because it looks like the only game in town. No such thing as a free lunch.
They should lip sync. It's just so, so bad compared to the original. Also, the genius of the original was the amazing and truly unique arrangement which some fool has decided to trash and replace with this VERY poorly executed knockoff.
@@fareshajjar1208Bob Gaudio worked on the musical didn’t he?
I love what they did with the horns in this version but it doesn't have the same kick as the other version. This version works better with the singers voice, very good. I like it but it doesn't make me want jump out of my seat and dance
I thank God that Frankie Valli is still with us and still performing. Love you!
@Julio Chivichon he does! I had the pleasure of seeing him a couple years back and he was phenomenal.
The horns are awful.
They ruin the whole song.
@@CherryBlossom3x3 he lip syncs and has been since the late 90s.

I love to sing this to my wife every day
Steve Casey adorable.i hope i find a nice husband like u someday💕
Plot twist: His wife sings it to him!!!
Bruce Kirk Jealous? Lol
This will soon be our wedding song!
@Steve Casey
One lucky lady she is!!!!
All these people saying the "horns sound like shit". It's just a variation of the original piece with saxaphones guys. And even if it sounds off bc apparently music to you has to always sound like the *album version* , these are skilled players, and have good intonation and tune. Plus theres a nice variation bit at the end they added in that really breathes life into this old piece.
Dylan R. Cerezo the horns aren’t really shit, it’s just mixed in WAY too loudly. Should have been lower in the mix.
@@VanessaFlores Agreed I listened to the original and agree but they are supposed to be loud its supposed to be a live show.
This is my favorite version
Wtf the horns sound beautiful so keep ur fucking comments to ur self
No ,it sounds like crap.
TO BAD WE DONT HAVE NIGHT CLUBS LIKE THAT ANYMORE HARD TO FIND
Someone's just gotta make one! Maybe a retro specialty club.
KARL JORGENSEN true enough those were the best
KARL JORGENSEN this is a movie
So very true.. have visited many states and yet to find one.
I live in Michigan and I want you to know that The Roostertail is still there alive and thriving 😄
What a doll and what a voice. Can never get enough of the movie Jersey Boys. This man is "just too good to be true".
Agree!
Blues Welk go see the play. You will lose it. It is to good to be true.
Indeed. So attractive...
Likewise. Got the DVD after seeing the Jersey Boys at the Sunderland Empire. Still watching it.

I am Japanes,When I watched This Movie,I cryied many Schence,
And I went the theater twice.I watcheed twice, and Cried.
Because this Song is not only Love Song,
it’s beautiful ❤️
Was on a cruise several years ago and one night the entertainment was songs from the 4 Seasons. The place was jam packed. Lots of people were willing to stand during the entire show also. We went to the first show of the evening, then went to dinner. Enjoyed the music so much that we decided to go back to the second show. Again, the theater was packed. People were singing along, loving every minute of the performance.
Theres just something special about their music.
John Lloyd Young does a remarkable job singing this song for the movie Jersey Boys!!
yeah cuz he is the original cast of jersey boys on broadway
DOING his best wayne newton
I love John Lloyd Young. He is the best singer in the world.
Kermit the frog
It''s hard to believe a song this iconic was almost never recorded
Thank goodness, Bob Gaudio didn't give up on it. He is a very intuitive man.
Think about all the ones that were not. What were missing
I think it’s been like that did a lot of pieces of art
I saw this as an in-flight movie and this was one of the songs where I almost got out of my seat and belt it
XD
I'm from Newark NJ. Raised in da hood and this is my favorite movie. Victoria Ave if u know u know
You still living there?
Summer ave n 4th.
Don't care how many times I hear it ----- It's incredible EVERY TIME ! What a voice !
I saw this play back in 2019 and the crowd went crazy when they were signing this song
How many romantics have dared try to sing this to their partner.
Just for the record, it's Bob Gaudio's genius song.
The extra horn "stabs" starting at the halfway point really MAKE this arrangement!!
No. It RUINS it
If you've never seen jerzeee boys..go !!!!!
I watched this scene over a dozen times on HBO Max. The first time I teared up because of the death of his daughter. But I’ve loved this tune forever, and it was great to see it in the context of a movie. Plus that band was so good!!!
went to Vegas for my 40th and Jersey Boys was something i'll remember forever. I grew upon my dad listening to Frankie Valli. Never ever fails to make me happy.
My Husband and I went to the Jersey Boys in Las Vegas and your right unforgettable show we loved it
It must have been so hard for him to write a long song right after his daughter passed away. Incredible strong man. I admire his strength
SPOILER ALERT: he didn't write the song and if you're referring to the death of his daughter, that happened thirteen years *after* the song was released. But, killing her off thirteen years earlier makes the song better - I guess.
The first time I watched this, I had no idea what the heck this song was, and as soon as the instrumental came and the curtains came back, I couldn't stop smiling because of how awesome this was, and now I listen to The Four Seasons all the time!
We all are the guy singing at 2:51.
Alberto Cid I agree
Guilty, my friend.
That was the movie and song that inspired my husband to perform on our wedding, unforgettable!! When im feeling down or nostalgic, i play this song and all the memories of the day comes, usually with few drops of tears, that moment of so beautiful! love this song!!!!
aww "hope u & him the best 😍💗

I’m better than your husband. Marry me.
Talent, he says so much without a word.
From the first time I saw this movie back in 2014 I fell in love with it. I think I’ve watched it a total of 6 times
This kid did his thing! He's got real skills and doesn't need a studio to help him because he used to do it live on Broadway.
This movie will forever have special place in my heart ❤️
Thanks KT. I CAN NEVER GET ENOUGH OF HIM!!!💋💋💋
you are very welcome...can't stop lookin at him either. Tony Award winner for best actor in this musical in 06...Clint Eastwood made a wonderful choice for him to star in the movie version!
I love this sing cause it reminds me of my grandpa who I loved very much but now he is in a better place and I will see him 50+ years from now..😟😢😭
dude from the movie is incredible. he should make an album if he hasnt. his range is unreal.
Beautiful voice I’ve been listening since I was like 23 and I’m 31 now ....timeless
I dedicate this song to my cat.
He's so calm and loving. He's just too good to be true.
I love this man!!! Is there anything he can't do?! His charisma just jumps off of the screen! He's multitalented, handsome, adorable and sings like a "dream come true"!!!💋💋💋
u said it all sister
he's gorgeous! oh lovely voice too
yeah I love a Jersey accent
The best version of a classic song
My 8-year-old grand daughter -- who is musically astute way beyond her years (she listens to Jelly Roll Morton and loves jazz) -- says she gets goose bumps when the horns come in, totally thrilling. We've taken her to Jersey Boys on Broadway three times over 2 years. She knows the lyrics of literally every Four Seasons/Frankie Valli song.

This song is an anthem to love!.
Thank you universe for giving us this great music!
best version of this song hands down. no question. shoutout to the brass section.
Classy awesome song made even better with the big band sound.
John Lloyd deserved an Academy Award! He was great in this!
He did get the Tony for his performance on broadway
Que mejor omenaje a un grande y el que lo interpreta. Mis respetos.😊
Always loved this song. After seeing the movie this my favorite song in movie, the horns are fantastic along with John Lloyd. Fantastic!!
What a gift to Detroit’s own Roostertail.
my goodness. no matter how many times I have heard him sing, I still shiver all over lol
The Boys liked the song.......if the Boys are happy everybody's happy....

OMG I loved it!!! No wonder this dude won the Tony for this!!! He is phenomenal! Just like Frankie.
did I forget to say how absolutely gorgeous he is?
I saw it 5 times I don't lie😂
You're crazy.

very beautiful song
It makes me think of my beautiful daughter and grandson
I love this movie so much, it healed people AND helped them deal with something for the first time since cats in the cradle
Recuerdo cuando vii esta pelicula hace 5 años. Quede mas que emocionado. Siempre la vuelvo a ver. Qe vooz frankii 💖
I still get chills when the chorus starts
never seem to get enough of this...SPECTACULAR!!!....BRAVO!
This is my favorite song it makes me so happy and sad LOVE HIM!!!!!!!!!
_The best version!_
My favorite is "Save it for Me", this one is also, I love his style and understated passion in his voice. He is small in stature but his voice and inner strength and beauty is as powerful as any giant...
Best musical ever like going to a concert! Saw it five times and can’t wait to see it again.
A great movie!!! And this is one of the best songs of the world!💖💖
i cant get enough of this song
From the movie ! - one of the best songs ever ever ever ... followed by "Oh What a Night !"
yes
Sadly,
Night clubs like this are hard to find nowadays...
it was REALLY emotional when I saw this in the Broadway musical because he sings this right after his daughter dies from an overdose in lament. I cried all through it!
It's not true. This song was actually released in 1967, his daughter died in an accident in 1980.They just added this feature in the movie to be more emotional
+Valerio Viglianti
the song "fallen angel" should have been added to the movie version. the broadway "fallen angel" was done singing a song regarding his daughter' death.
beautiful song
Valerio Viglianti his stepdaughter died in an accidents, but his natural daughter died of rug overdose if I'm correct and he did this after her death
Yes I love John singing hes the best .Loved the movie saw it 6 times so awesome.
I had a chance to see him...live...in bosier city, la...in january this year...didn't go...now im really pissed...
I was shocked when I found out John Lloyd is 43! I thought he was no more than 25.
What made this scene so absolutely incredible is the camera work during the first "I Love You Baby" @1:40. Makes this scene and performance just astonishing.
I'm singing this at my high school rally soon in front of 1,800+ Students... I'm excited. Franki Valli is such a great musician, and 60's -80's music, in my opinion, is so much better than today's auto tune filled "music"...
NOTICE I PUT QUOTATIONS AROUND THAT
What a beautiful voice! He and Frankie Valli are in a tie in the singing department!
You're just too good to be true
I can't take my eyes off you
You'd be like heaven to touch
I wanna hold you so much
At long last love has arrived
And I thank God I'm alive
You're just too good to be true
Can't take my eyes off you
Pardon the way that I stare
There's nothing else to compare
The sight of you leaves me weak
There are no words left to speak
But if you feel like I feel
Please let me know that is real
You're just too good to be true
I can't take my eyes off you
I love you baby
And if it's quite all right
I need you baby
To warm the lonely nights
I love you baby
Trust in me when I say
Oh pretty baby
Don't bring me down I pray
Oh pretty baby
Now that I've found you stay
And let me love you, baby
Let me love you
You're just too good to be true
I can't take my eyes off you
You'd be like heaven to touch
I wanna hold you so much
At long last love has arrived
And I thank God I'm alive
You're just too good to be true
Can't take my eyes off You
I love you baby
And if it's quite all right
I need you baby
To warm the lonely nights
I love you baby
Trust in me when I say
Oh pretty baby
Don't bring me down I pray
Oh pretty baby
Now that I've found you stay
Oh pretty baby
Trust in me when I say
It really strikes my soul when I hear Frankie and the boys sing. In this movie, Christopher walken plays gyp DeCarlo. Ray (Gyp) was a good friend and boss of my grandfather Frankie "the buffalo" Sgambati. The stories he told me of these days, the golden age of Italian America...the sad part is as I watch my children grow, outside of my Jersey roots, I wonder how much of it will ever be thought of, or even remembered?
Awesome performance! Completely nailed the song
Great acting. Great tribute to original band. A+++
This song still gives me chills! Still have my original vinyl, too! ;-)
I marched with Vagabonds drum and bugle corps in 1968. We played this as our concert number. Crowd loved it. I loved ripping on my bugle 🎺👏👏
The band was fantastic!! Dont know how anyone can hear them and think otherwise.
He is incredibly adorable!
TOMMY!!!
YES
Michelle Pereira as a male, I must agree, he is absolutely adorable.
This particular version is pure Gold!
it chills to the bones . Amazing! I just cried like a baby
Love this part in the movie I reply this part like 5x every time I watch it. John Lloyd Young was meant to play Frankie Valli.
yes
I replay is as well numerous times :)
This song was the only one my Dad didn't listen too much..cause he lost a daughter same way as Frankie was a fan of Frankie played all his other songs but this gave bad memories of my sister why I never really heard it discovered on the radio oldies station told my hey how u never played this song great then told me about my sister so I understood he didn't watch movie but followed Frankie on life story why he knew already losing a daughter my sister I could feel his hurt so to this song for my sister not for her death for me when she was happy and inocent for me I think she would love this song she was beautiful and too good to be True RIP my sister now my dad up there with her God bless both of them..
I love this song. It's a great love song.
That is very remontic music and I'm sorry about lost his daughter Francine villa

BEAUTIFUL SONG ....CLASSIC !
it is not until I listened this music that I became fond of many american music!!
A great tribute to Frankie Valle and the Four Seasons!
I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!
i Love The Way They Made This. at The Start Hes Alone in a Studio at The Lowest Part of His Life His Kid Just Died And Hes Depressed Then it Keeps Picking up And Suddenly Hes Rocking out on Stage With a Giant Audience. it's So Beautiful.
I loved this movie and saw it on Broadway. Great music. Too bad we don't have these pop groups anymore. Wish young people appreciate this music more. So sad when Frankie's daughter died. Music today sucks, cause you can't understand it and can go deaf!
For me it's when he emphasizes on the word "eyes". Damn it gets me everytime.
First time hearing this - wow. This version is outstanding but the brass ensemble/accompaniment is phenomenal.
Loved it . Want to cry when I hear it ... "love it so much" ...
