Customer panicking for nothing! He thought that Jaymie was going too fast! 🤣. I guess that he has never seen Yankum Rope in action!!
He said I know but get the slack out first lol he tried to micromanager from that point on like he's the only one that knows what to do right... Lol what a jerk
People like that should just get themselves out.
I've given plenty of hard tugs with a cheap flat rope and never had a problem. Even they have a decent deal of stretch.
Just don't do that with a chain or wire rope.

That’s why they should used the walkie talkies all the time.
Matt is so patient lol I would have been so mad at that dude for yelling at my wife like that.
I’m pretty sure Matt and his crew know what they are doing, it’s kind of their job..
Agreed, if he knew so much, he wouldn't have needed to call.
@@politicalfisherman540 - You beat me to it. He buried his Tundra like a moron.....yet HE is gonna tell Matt what to do. 🙄
You guys are such pussies. The guy had a point. You don’t pull a rope out of a rats nest to full tension on the first pull. First you pull it to tension, then back up so that it lines up the slack in parallel. Then you do the pull. To try and do a full strength pole out of a tangled mass of rope sitting in rocky mud is a a recipe for disaster. To be honest I’m shocked at the daily disregard for common sense safety that Matt displays, but I guess when the phone rings all the time and you are making cash off of UA-cam, who cares about safety. Dude doesn’t even carry the particular part to put into a generic trailer hitch to make the rope effective. It’s pathetic to be honest; so are you. Oh my gosh, some guy that knows more than me does something that I don’t understand, he must be right! - You
Yeah that guys name is Kevin. Kevin is a no it all. Kevin's are douche bags.
Yeah, that dude needs to shut up and just let them do their job. Obviously they know what they’re doing. Because they’re not the ones that got the truck stuck to begin with.
LOL i almost spit my coffee out when the guy was all "whoa whoa whoa" and in the background you hear Matt say "Dont listen to anyone but me" ...
Yeah, after that he was ego hurt and was all “if I had….”. No crap, if you had… the Morvair, a wrecker, a Chinook helicopter, you could have…. But you didn’t, you were unprepared, just admit it and move on.

I can't wait till summer rolls around so we can see the wrecker really put to the test pulling out one of those giant bus sized motor homes.

Thank you so so much Matt and the whole crew for helping us with the cooper 9:14 You guys are awesome!!
Just a note… The traction control can be fully turned off by pressing and holding the traction control button for about 10 seconds. A quick press and release puts the system into “TRACTION” mode which intended for use in snow. So one could say there are three settings… Full on, Traction, and full off. I currently on 3 MINIs, one of each generation and have some familiarity with this. Glad Matt was able to make such easy work of this situation even without knowing this. And nice of you to compliment him. Take care and Motor On….

Matt is such a gentleman that he carried Jamie back and forth across that mud. What a guy. I was thinking that blouse was to nice for recovery. Lol gotta love the heavy wrecker.

Love the show. Tip for Matt a lot of new cars require you to hold the traction control button for 10 seconds to fully disable it and it will partially reengage if drive over a certain speed or put the vehicle in park. And there's no visual indicator difference between the two modes other than when you fully disable traction control it flashes for a few seconds instead of just turning the light on.
4:42 matt yelling "don't listen to anybody but me" lmao
Professionals love it when customers tell them how to do their job and rattle off a bunch of excuses on why they couldn't handle the job themselves. Matt keeps his cool and doesn't seem too bothered by it but it has to drive him crazy!! LOL
EDIT: The customer would have been correct about the rope if it was a normal tow strap, so go easy on him. I've made those same kinds of mistakes at different points in my life. And let's be honest, most of us keyboard warriors will never even make it where those guys were. Matt handled it perfectly.
Dreads guy was cool and chill, other dude is the type you just smile and nod while he goes on a tangent, like a 17 year old talking about how his corolla can do 180mph or how his 250 street bike keeps up with 1000ccs all day.

I'm not trying to trash the dude. Most of us have been there at some point. Hopefully he has a good sense of humor.
Gotta love the interaction between Matt and Jamie. She obviously doesn't burn for the jobs the same way he does, and yet she always tags along, and in turn he piggybacks her through the mud ❤
I live in Atlantic Canada's Maritime provinces and I am constantly amazed at the beauty of the Utah desert and how much snow you have. We are used to Americans giving us a hard time about the great White North where we live in igloos and it snows all the time, but we can't hold a candle to Utah when it comes to snow. I hope you get through the snow melt without any serious flooding and destruction. It must be a relief to see the waterways coming back after so much drought. The "slow down" made me laugh 😂
I'd never heard of them before watching this channel and when I saw the first pull, I too thought it was going to end badly. Now I watch every episode.
“It’s a stretch rope, bro.”
“But there’s slack.”
Hey Matt for future reference, most vehicles even with traction control "off" it will still pull power after so much spin because its only partially off. If you press and hold the traction control button a lot of vehicles have a full off mode that will allow unlimited tire spin. Some models wont let you get to a full off position though.
Even better pulling the ABS fuse almost always defeats Traction control because it takes the sensor out of play.
@@famousbymorningmotorsport5961 But if you pop fuses outs and disables ABS, traccion control, and ESC the majority of the vehicles also disables the 4wd system. Matts are in te correct, newer electronic systems sucks
@@servicioelectromecanicocue7025 interesting. I've done it mostly on subaru's so a diff AWD 4WD system may have an issue.

@4:34 Ya gotta love a guy that tells you how to drive and they are the ones that got stuck to begin with.
That man has never seen a dynamic rope used to its full potential!
That wrecker is a beast with MRAP rears, and rear steer. The only way it could have better control is a steering wheel inside a steering wheel to control with one hand an inch apart. A shaft inside a shaft ,, inside a sleeve. With a click lock to lock both shafts/wheels. Maybe a electric magnetic lock, then switch to unlock where the horn is.
Magnetically locked both steering wheels act as one, steering front and rear.
Magnetically unlocked both rears steer independently with one hand. For safety put a red led on the horn to know when duel steering is locked. Wired to fail safe if the magnetic lock loses power, light goes out.
Great recoveries. I hope Jamie can learn not to voice her self-doubts in front of customers. Her self-confidence will make everyone more comfortable. She’s obviously doing a great job.

I've seen it in a couple videos and thought you might mention it, but glad to see you upgraded trailers for the heavy wrecker. I always wondered why you didn't put a bench seat in the wrecker.
What's with these customers? The MORR Team knows their stuff.
It’s not a stretch rope, it’s a kinetic rope, and the kinetic energy transfer from the moving vehicle to the stuck one is a huge benefit to using them.
@3.0 Colorado ? kinetic rope = stretchy. its like a giant rubber band
Jaymie is becoming a serious off-roader, obstacle wheeler and recovery tow expert, Lizzy is improving her rally driving skills and Matt and Tom are watching. Cool.
Anyone who does wheeling on their own in that area without a Land Anchor might as well use their winch as a Boat Anchor.
The wrecker handles the trailer at such speed that peanut doesn’t even want to try to keep up!
On those Minis you press the traction control button to turn off stability control, but have to hold it down a few seconds to fully turn off traction control
Did she even spin a wheel? What a beast great work Matt!
9:25 For MINIs and, I think BMWs, just pressing the traction control button and releasing it does not turn the traction control fully off, even though is says that it is “off”. That just modifies the settings on MINIs to what is called as “TRACTION”. To turn the traction control all the way off, press and hold the button down for about 10 sec or more and it will turn off completely and you can power spin the tires to your hearts content…
Matt, on the newer vehicles to shut off, traction control completely, push traction control button with engine off and then start the car up hold it until it says traction control disabled
It does not work that way on my Toyota or my Ford 150. On mine just push traction control button with Engine running and car in park or neutral , hold for 3 seconds and traction control is off. But maybe others are different 🤷♂
@@Wontreplyeverdontbother I do towing and almost all the newer cars works like that , there is some models, but that model of car works like that . Trust me, I hate the new vehicles traction control to. Pain in the butt
@@richardthomas1743 some models says that you shut off traction control when press the button but soon as you get yourself into some kind of mud, snow, it doesn’t fully shut off your traction control, The way I said will shut it off completely until you shut off the car, truck, SUV then it will turn on again .. but yes, it doesn’t work on all models but every model that I’ve did it on so far has worked

With a lot of new cars there is usually a trick to disabling the traction control to allow you to spin the wheels, usually you can press and hold the traction control button for around 10-30 seconds and if the car has the option is will usually disable any traction control OR stability control(check the dash for any new lights that don't pop up when you only press the traction control button) and will usually stop the car from cutting any power whenever there is wheel slip.

Matt, if you hate all the new cars now just wait for the next few years when everything goes electric because on the electric vehicles they made the bottoms of them completely flat so there is no tow points at all and Chevrolet has made the commitment to turn all of their vehicles electric by the end of 2025 I do believe if not 2026 and the first gas car they are getting rid of is the Camaro again which I'm totally against and I'm totally against all the vehicles going electric in my opinion and it also gets me going about that whole Glamping thing whatever happened to good old camping where you have a tent and your bare essentials or if you go to a campground you have a camper trailer or an RV but you still have your bare essentials basically because they don't have washers and dryers and you'll be lucky if you have a TV but if you get that bored you have your phone or tablet which if you get bored at a campground especially then camping isn't for you period because there is plenty of things to do at a campground

Matt...In a lot of vehicles, as you probably might already know. Just pressing the traction control button doesn't fully turn it off. In most, you have to hold the traction control button down for multiple seconds, when usually a light on the dash will pop up telling you that traction control is now completely off.
Jamie is such a great partner and once in a while, Matt is a good partner too, keeping her feet out of the mud. 😉
Most traction control, has a few levels of "off". Momentary press is not off, sometimes holding the button for 10-15 seconds until the light flashes or another trac light illuminates. If all else fails, find an abs sensor and unplug it. It will toss a code, but once plugged back in, quite a few vehicles will clear the light after a minute or two of driving with it plugged back in. Or buy 200 dollar cheap abs scan tool to clear the codes.
Matt is a good dude all around.

8:55 Tomtom, you are _sooooo_ wrong. They made - and still make - a big Cooper. All the current Mini Coopers. At 3:28 how come you don't have your Yankum tow point with you, Matt? I'll help you with the answer. It isn't just about this one thing.
