  • As I release the 4 Lavaan, written by Guru Ram Das Ji and traditionally sung during the sacred union of two souls in a Sikh wedding, I do so with a deep sense of reflection and reverence. Being single myself, I embark on this project not just as an artist, but as someone seeking to truly understand the profound meaning these rounds hold.
Our Gurus, with their timeless wisdom, gave us these teachings centuries ago, and they remain as relevant today as ever. Yet, in today’s fast-paced world, we sometimes lose sight of their true significance. The 4 Lavaan represent a spiritual and emotional journey, not just a tradition. It’s the coming together of two souls as one in the presence of God, a bond meant to last a lifetime.
I urge all young individuals-before sitting in the ceremony-to truly understand the meaning of these sacred Lavaan. When we embrace their wisdom with our whole hearts, the foundation of our relationships becomes unshakable, and such bonds, blessed in the divine presence, will never be broken. Let us honor this divine union with the depth and respect it deserves.
