If you want to know who can become an Apostle “since there are many false apostles” reads (ACTS THE FIRST CHAPTER, AND THE LAST SEVEN VERSES) will tell you what you have to do to become an apostle. And if you can’t measure up to this, then you’ll never be an apostle!

the entire law of the scripture is summed up by loving GOD and loving your NEIGHBOR.... I DIDNT SEE ANY LOVE ANYWHERE IN THIS DEBATE........(why are we debating scripture) why aren't they reasoning ????
God word stands on two pillars...-- love and righteousness -- executed through the lens of grace... It's disappointing that neither preacher from either denomination treated each other with #GRACE... I mostly heard a noisy gong.... #PITIFUL... such an embarrassment to the entire body of Christ

So are we not supposed to refute false teaching?

    • @kac0404

REASONING - The word translated “reasoned” is the word “dialegomai,” from which our modern word “dialogue” comes. There is some debate about exactly what the word meant. Some suggest it encompassed what we call a sermon. Most say our modern word provides a good understanding. In either case, whether it included back and forth discussion, the word demonstrates that reason was involved. There was argumentation that was reasonably and logically put forth to show the truth of what Paul was saying. He didn’t just talk off the top of his head; he reasoned with them. Notice especially that he reasoned from the Scriptures. He didn’t simply reason from his own logic and think-sos. He didn’t debate their thoughts and feelings. He reasoned from the Scriptures.

What in the world is this. This does not seem like a true biblical debate. There appears to be an underlying issue and a division between the men. There is no need to debate the word of God because it stands assured all by it self. When selfishness, worldliness, foolishness, haughty/prideful spirit and mans' theology is removed out of our lives; if we truly yield to the Holy Ghost ~ God will give clarity of his word.

We are not saved by the baptism of the Holy Ghost, the Holy Ghost come to keep us from sin, we are saved by the faith we have in Jesus Christ.

    • @kac0404

The Bible doesn't teach that salvation is exclusively by faith. That was a doctrine that originated with men. The Bible has always taught that salvation occurs when faith is joined by obedient action to the commands of God.

@@kac0404 in order to accomplish anything in life you most have faith in yourself. Faith only in Christ what save you, it’s not by works, it’s believing in Jesus, that he is the son of God, this come by faith. To answer your question YES. that’s all you need. Faith make you do for Christ.

    • @kac0404

@@josephwilliams5403 That's wrong on so many levels. To accomplish anything in life, you must put your faith in God, not yourself. God is the One who controls your very being. Also, having faith only is not enough. The actual phrase “faith alone” or “faith only” is not even found anywhere in the Word of God ... except in one passage: James 2:14-26. But, this is the passage that clearly states, “You see that a man is justified by works and not by faith only.” (James 2:24) Isn’t it interesting that one of the key and cardinal doctrines of most of the Protestant and Reformed Churches in the denominational world is actually refuted by a very simple passage? Isn’t it interesting that many can’t really even explain, let alone accept what this passage teaches. In trying to explain James 2:14-26, most end up really trying to just explain it away. How sad!

Only the 12 Apostles had all the spiritual gifts. Those that the 12 Apostles laid hands on had a gift. They didn't have all the gifts like the 12 Apostles. Jack Evans explains this. How did you miss that?
