In the cesspool of warped nonsense this world dishes out every day, it is very GOOD to take time out to be reminded of the beauty nature still has to offer. It's lovely to hear all the song birds back in spring, calling out for a mate so new life can be created.
I'm not too far from Dutch (Western Suburbs of Chicago) and we're still getting pummeled with rain, hail, lightning, and thunder. The calms after the blowouts are nice and warm. Been 70ish all day.
that was my last night in missouri in st.louis before coming out to vegas for a bit. it was like a goodbye present from mother nature. That all started late night and continued to sunrise. It would let up and start again. those cells came in waves. It was quite a thing to behold
I love thunderstorms! I can hear the birds singing in the background as well. Birds are very active early in the morning here in west STL county as well. I wish California could get some of this rain too! They really need it. We drove this evening out to Chesterfield for a movie and went smack into a huge downpour (around 7pm)
SightSetOnSilver I grew up there, on the east central coast, between the Indian River and Atlantic Ocean. And you are so right about the lightning storms. And now retired in SE Louisiana, we have unbelievable lightning storms, not to mention the hurricanes.
donald eugene Oh I bet there are some big ones in LA. I do miss the storms in Florida. I lived in Jacksonville Beach for 2 years. I reside in the Pacific NW now. All the rain you could ever need here but not many Thunderstorms. I heard FL gets more annual rainfall than Washington state, I don't know for sure though.
SightSetOnSilver I took notice of your name, do you stack silver? If so, any predictions on the future of this metal? I have been to the redwoods of N Ca. and it was raining as I remember. Very beautiful over there.
donald eugene Yes, I'm a stacker/collector. And as far as the future of silver...I'd say it will go up, way up eventually, but it might drop a bit more before going back up. I believe it's a good idea to have some wealth stored in metals, due to the corruption in the current banking system.
Notice how the rain starts suddenly and fully when conditions reach exact threshold. I arrived at a very high mountain lake once and was able to almost walk across the ice. The next morning there was just blue/black water, totally free of ice~~in only hours. Why would it melt at night, when its coldest?
It's spring, birds are chirping, storms are brewing. I wonder sometimes if we could build safer home and wonder if we could, would we? I wish all of us could have a storm shelter available. I was thinking and wondering how you were doing and hoping you'd be safe. I've never been in a tornado but have come close more than once. It's awful to have no safe place to shelter and staying up all night worrying and watching the weather channel is no picnic either.
Anyone remember the one on June 28 I was at Denny's eating when the siren went off and eventually the tornado got within a mile of the building so the manager made us come into the Kitchen and the near by creve ceour lake flooded the entire park
Russian directors are masters of the slow scene, like Alexander Sokurov. Apparent emptiness left on its own to gain structure and reality, which you captured so beautifully during this storm with help of the birds. Thanks. This slowing of perception is the ancient way of feeling and how other animals see time/space. Do you believe bees perceive themselves to move with the same rapidity as we see them? No, much much slower.
Plus there's all that energy (highly charged particles) from the Sun on the way.... earthsky.org/space/auroras-over-united-states-and-similar-latitudes?
This looks like it's really going to be a very nice vireo but you should have bought a video camera with a mouth on it so we could see and understand what's really going on. I know that the thunder is a little ear shatt6ering at time but I eat lightening If we knew where it was ,how it was, when it was that way we could just share it with you, you're just a dam tease.
***** Well thunderstorms actually stopped occurring naturally years ago, but the government needed a way to try and kill it's citizens with lightning and tornadoes, so they created HAARP to generate thunderstorms. I mean how else would a cumulonimbus cloud form? Like, colder air masses clashing into southerly flow of warm moist gulf air? Pft, of course not.
Always love a good storm. Glad it wasn't worse for u. Thx for sharing.

Wonderful Video, the sound quality is amazing. Thanks.

+dutchsinse here at England was very stormy lighting struck right in my garden!
Thanks for the video. It helped me relax after working a 12 hour shift. Keep safe
I found that strangely relaxing and hypnotic - does that make me weird?
birds are chirping.... beautiful video depicting nature... (not to dismiss the message)

Reminds me of my time spent in Florida, they have some gnarly storms down there.

SightSetOnSilver thanks for your insight.
*East coast south had the same thing, Time early morning hours and storm during the late night as well. Down pours with intense lightning and thunder.
Having lived in the Midwest my entire life, I have the inside scoop on the powerful force that actually causes this turbulent weather: SPRING!
Notice how the rain starts suddenly and fully when conditions reach exact threshold.
I arrived at a very high mountain lake once and was able to almost walk across the ice. The next morning there was just blue/black water, totally free of ice~~in only hours. Why would it melt at night, when its coldest?
Wow nice! 2015 was brutal for storms...
Living in CA, damn I remember that sound!!! Yeah, that is rain!!!
I enjoyed this. Thanks.
i noticed that that camera distorts with an emp kinda of flicker with the lightning strikes.

I love thunderstorms but my friend hates them? Why would that be. Nice video and I thought birds don't come out during thunderstorms?

How about taking some radiation readings???
Crazy wather, stay safe
Each time I hear thunder I go "meouch!" Or my face looks like 😧😩😦😮😯😁😕😐😟 then I'm like "😀 oh I'm fine!"
Man-ipulated weather.
Rothschild owns Weather Central.
Very nice.

These are HAARP generated storms.
serpentarius51 I heard they decommissioned HAARP...probably for something else they've developed.

HAARP IS SO DAMN FAKE
Hopefully that storm struck Ferguson 😉
