"Bulletproof" dinghy? Not quite. I once saw a Topper and a Topaz have a head on collision on a reach in about 10 knots. The Topper looked like it had a bite taken out of it by a shark. I had to tow it by the mast because the towing point in the bow just wasn't there anymore. The Topper is a better dinghy than the Topaz, but if I want to knock a door down, I know which I'd use.
I couldn't film during the first race of the final day because of the carnage, and us having to prioritise rescue cover - but no damage all round. I think they're wonderful little boats.
