ugh matts voice is velvet
Yeah, I'd love to hear this guy narrate an audiobook
Did you know apparently he does cassidy from Overwatch 😭
@@Jellysfrickingstuff He does :D Also, him and a lot of other Voice Actor friends (like Laura Bailey, Liam O'Brian and more) play Dungeons and Dragons together with Matt as the Game Master and he does A LOT of amazing voices and sound effects there. It's called Critical Role and I am obnoxiusly happy that it exists.
Matt's voice is out of this world
I want to see Erwin voice acting live .
live but not in studio :

Man that's shitload of work. We could only imagine the hardwork done by the anime creators themselves.
It's trippy when you realize that Jean Kirstein (Mike Macfarland) pretty much narrated this entire video
One of the best dubs ever
Fr I pretty much always prefer sub, even when a dub is pretty good my outlook is nothing can beat the original. But with aot I honestly prefer watching the dub. The original is still amazing ofc, but the dub shines even brighter than the original in some places which is very rare, considering foreign dubs almost always have less resources than the original (obviously)
Very correct attack on Titan is the gateway anime show great convo.
Couldn't agree more, always thought anime was cringey asf but then I watched aot and it completely changed how I saw anime
It was death note for me (I assume it is the gateway for majority of the people too) but I get what you convey here. AOT is incredible.
That’s what I like about Mike! I mean besides he great voice acting skills and helping start the anime community in Texas. But his personality as a director. Not letting repetition effect his attitude and skills.
I read this as Mike like the character xD
Yeah Mike is actually one of the best voice actors in the entire show if you really think about it. Jean always gives such emotional lines and dialogue and a lot of the time steals the scene even though he's just a side character. I remember not giving a crap about Marco even slightly in season 1, but Jean's lines about his dead friend and emotion actually makes you care deeply about a character's death who was honestly lost in the crowd at the time he was even alive. Still though, Michael J. Tatum as Erwin Smith is probably the best actor in the entire series and maybe even the best I've seen in any anime ever (also incredible in Steins Gate).
Micheal Tatum is so good, him and Mercer are my favorites.
respect for them actaully involving the people who voice somewhat minor characters (rico, anka, etc)
I think the relatability (when looking at what inspired Hajime Isayama) is what really drew people in. Trauma, tragedy, anguish, hatred, suffering, being sheltered/oppressed, the negatives we don’t talk about, is what pushed and pulled people into feeling a connection. 5 minutes ago I decided that I would give in to my fear of rejection and write my own anime. With that said; follow your dreams, face and conquer your fears, have a “Take no prisoners” attitude when putting your internal struggles on paper and hope for the best that someone somewhere takes interest in whatever the fuck it is you have to say in hopes of it being relatable. Relatability is not the goal. True expression is. Good luck.
Yes! I think it was brilliant to start the series as a good vs evil story. The titans are monstrous and purely evil in the beginning and that’s what grabs people’s attention. All these characters fighting against a common enemy. Then, just like in real life, we learn that things are MUCH more complicated. Also it’s a brilliant example of how restriction of knowledge/history in a society absolutely cripples it given the right circumstances. Brilliant show.
Is it just me or would anyone else like to see a prequel to Attack on Titan that tells Levi's story up to the point of Attack on Titan? I mean we got certain episodes, but I want more! Come on!
isayama has said before that if he were to ever write a prequel someday, he has an idea for one based on levi!
So..... No Regrets?
DID YOU REALLY JUST PREDICT THIS LMFAOOOOO
@@leviackerwoah559 Did I predict what now?
adam is so right i wasn’t into anime AT ALL but i literally started aot a couple weeks ago and i think i’m def gonna watch lots more after i’m done cause wtfff
matt’s voice literally IS levi’s idc
Levi - has good reason to be the way he is..but we all love him
Attack on Titan is the perfect example of a dub being better than the sub. Yes, it's possible and does exist.
Every Obnoxious Sub Fanboys : "uHh aCTuALlY tHe DUb sUcKs" 🤓🤡
I think it's equal, both the sub and the dub are good but in some parts the dub is better and some too in the sub
While I prefer the dub over the sub, you can't just say one is outright better than the other since it's always gonna boil down to opinion at the end of the day. I actually prefer some moments in the sub and vice versa. And there's nothing wrong with admitting that lol. It's preference and what you like more.
Umm Dragonball z, Pokemon and trigun already did that
Sub and dub are both great, w sub being greater tho
This is soooo much work. Deeper respect for the process
When Leon S Kennedy killing zombies turning killing into Titans 😂😂😂
all the voices and titan screams were all goated for the dub
"before they got EATEN" lolll
Who let Homelander into Funimation’s building?
Damn I forgot about Vic Migona.
Miss hearing him in stuff
I loved seasons 1-3 dubbed but man I couldn't watch season 4 in English. Eren wasn't a kid blinded by rage, he was mature and had come to understand what he was about to do in the eyes of his victims. His undertone in season 4 is way off but if that's the director's decision then so be it
Agreed but the dub wasn’t bad for season 4
I think he nailed the basement scene though. He can convey the intimidation by his low voice
it wasnt way off at all?? theres nothing wrong with his undertone?? I prefer season 4 in English I definitely watched it
Also during season 4, they all had to the voice acting at their homes and send recorded voice takes because of a bitch named covid. So they really tried their best and should be given more slack bc it wasn’t bad
It sounded great imo
Why do interviews practically never have Jessica (Hange) :(
i clicked on this just for Mathew
WHAT?? MATT as LEVI??
Dub is better than sub
How far the story has gone from killing titans to killing humans that reside on the other side of the ocean.
Japans Dubbing
Half of their characters will die in this season and never come back lol
That's what happens when you die.
when she says ‘anime’ like an elitist
why is she pronouncing anime so weirdly
That’s how they pronounce anime in Japanese
i cringe everytime

DUDE WHY I JUST GOT DONE WITH MY THERAPIST
@@millismirror5761 sorry2 i just joke
This is by far the worst inaccurate description anyone has done about Levi. And to come from his own voice actor… wow.. what a disappointment
How would you describe him? I want a more accurate description instead what Mr. Mercer had provided for this interview.
How is his description bad? He described Levi perfectly.
Genuinely cold? Very Judgmental? Levi is the most emotional character in the aot universe and that has been stated by Isayama. Reserved, yes. Introverted, yes. Stoic, yes. But cold? Hell no. The last person to be called judgmental is Levi. The guy literally doesn’t even impose anything on his subordinates and keeps repeating I never claim what im doing is the right thing and i can’t advise you on your own choices. Levi literally almost got killed by Mikasa and he didn’t judge her on that, instead he patted their heads afterwards asking Armin not to let her and Eren down. He didn’t judge Jean’s hesitation in killing the mp that almost got him killed. He didn’t judge Dieter after disobeying the commander’s orders and recovering his dead friend’s body, which resulted in the death of his other friend, and instead handed him Petra’s badge claiming it’s Ivan’s just to make him feel better (not exactly cold now is it?). I can go on and on with endless examples.
