इस आध्यात्मिक श्रीमद्भागवत प्रवचन में श्रील जयपताका स्वामी महाराज बताते हैं:
सूत गोस्वामी से हरि कथा सुनने के लिए वहां उपस्थित सभी ऋषिगण बहुत उत्सुक थे। वेद चार है लेकिन रामायण, महाभारत व आदि पुराण को पांचवां वेद कहा जाता है।
श्रील प्रभुपाद ने विदेशी भक्तों से कहा कि आपके यहाँ अमेरिका में सभी प्रकार की सर्वश्रेष्ठ व्यवस्था है। सारा विश्व आपके जैसा बनना चाहता है, खुश रहने के लिए। लेकिन यहाँ सब लोग हताश हैं। ऐसा इसलिए क्यूंकि हालाँकि हमारे मंदिर भी ईंट व सीमेंट के बने है, परंतु हमारे पास कृष्ण हैं और उनके पास नहीं है। यदि कृष्ण वहाँ उपस्थित हो तो वहां भी सभी खुश हो जाएंगे।
भगवद्गीता में श्लोक आता है जहाँ श्रीभगवान कहते हैं कि हजारों में से कोई एक व्यक्ति मुझे जानना चाहता है और कृष्णभावनाभावित होना चाहता है लेकिन चैतन्य महाप्रभु की कृपा से हम केवल हरे कृष्ण महामंत्र का जप करने से कृष्ण को शीघ्र जान पाएंगे।
श्रील प्रभुपाद सभी भक्तों को जो इस आंदोलन में है, परमहंस भक्त बनाना चाहते थे। हंस वह है जो दूध व जल के मिश्रण से दूध व जल को अलग कर देता है। परमहंस वह है जो भौतिक वस्तुओं से आध्यात्मिक रस निकालते हैं l
चैतन्य महाप्रभु ने भक्ति को वर्णाश्रम से श्रेष्ठ बताया है। वह स्वयं संन्यासी व ब्राह्मण थे किंतु रामानंद राय से आदेश लेते थे जो कि एक शूद्र थे । प्रद्युम्न मिश्र जो जगन्नाथ पुरी में एक ब्राह्मण थे उन्होंने रामानंद राय से श्रीमद्‌भागवतम् सुनी व उन्हें सर्वश्रेष्ठ भक्त बताया |
हम मायापुर धामवासी सौभाग्यशाली हैं कि हमें ठंड व गौर पूर्णिमा के समय बहुत से भक्तों की सेवा का सुअवसर मिलता है। कल नववर्ष है। हम प्रतिदिन हरिनाम का जप करते हैं l कल क्यों नहीं? कल नववर्ष का स्वागत हम हरिनाम से करते हैं। मुझे (गुरु महाराज को) आप सबका साथ मिल रहा है। इसकी बहुत प्रसन्नता हैं। हरिबोल ! हरे कृष्ण!

Srila Jayapataka Swami Maharaj is telling in this Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam lecture:
All the sages and rishis who were present there were very much eager to hear the transcendental topics of Lord Hari from Sūta Gosvāmī. There are four Vedas and the fifth Veda is considered to be the Mahābhārata, Purāṇa, Rāmāyaṇa, etc.
Śrīla Prabhupāda told the foreign devotees that your country America has all kinds of good arrangements. All the people in the world think that you are the best and therefore if we become like you, we would become very happy. But everyone is frustrated here.This is because although our temple is also made of bricks and cement, we have Krsna, and you don’t have.
If Kṛṣṇa is present, then the USA will be very happy.
There is a verse in the Bhagavad-gītā [7.3] manuṣyāṇāṁ sahasreṣu - out of thousands of thousands of people hardly one is interested in knowing about Me. But by Lord Caitanya’s mercy, only by chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa, we can quickly know Kṛṣṇa.
Srila Prabhupada wanted to make all the devotees of this movement into Paramahamsas. A haṁsa can separate milk and water from a mixture of milk and water. He can take out the spiritual nectar from material things.
Lord Caitanya wanted to prove that bhakti was superior to varnāśrama. He was Himself a sannyasi, a brahmana, yet He took instructions from Ramananda Raya, who was a Sudra. A brahmana in Jagannath Puri, Pradyumna Mishra heard Srimad Bhagavatam from Ramananda Raya and he appreciated that he was the best devotee.
We have a great opportunity as dhāma-vāsīs, Māyāpur residents, to serve all the Vaishnavas during Winter and Gaur Purnima time. Tomorrow is New Year. Daily we are chanting Hare Krsna, then why not tomorrow? I am very happy to have all your association. Hare Kṛṣṇa!
