Jaya The name of the island may be a reference to the real-life Indonesian island of Java, or probably the Island of Papua (Papua was named Irian Jaya before it changed back into Papua in 2003). By the time Ruff reaches the current timeline of one piece I can see that it would be his favorite anime. Steel ball run anime adaptation is not in sight. So there's literally no competition.
The best way I can describe One Piece is calling it an Ode to freedom. I know all the "One Piece is best anime people are annoying, it's subjective" and they're right. But we are talking here about a story that a man spent years to plan and already spent over 20 years of his life executing and taking care of every detail. He is giving his life to this story and that's why so many people consider One Piece bigger than just a manga. It's a graphique work (that the anime struggles to bring justice to). That's why you'll see so many people explaining what they get from the episodes you watch in the comment section. I hope it doesn't get annoying to you, the one piece community have diverse people including a lot of assholes, I apologise for the ones being just too much and rude towards you. Of course One Piece is also many other things, that's why I'm also the fist one to ship characters together and just have fun with this huge universe and cast, and the diversity of characters and stories told is why there is such a big diversity of people following the story, and it would be stupid to only look at OP in an analytic way and not recognize it as the great comedy it also is.
Reason why Luffy didn't fight with Bellamy was his words: this is TEST, not fight. Bellamy said that only power means something, while dream is unnecessary. Luffy decided to show that he aim to TOP on pirates.
Allow me to help you figure out the animation stuff. around 5:20 Budget won't increase or decrease unless you're strictly talking about time. An episode's look is mostly dictated by 2 things. Animation director w/ staff on rotation, and time to produce an episode. Director rotation works like this - ofc these aren't their real names. Ep 1: Kim Jung gi Ep 2: Jack Kirby Ep 3: Naotoshi Shida Ep 4: Satoshi Kon Ep 5: Ian Flynn Ep 6: (maybe outsourced) Koh Yoshinari Ep 7 : Back to Kim Jung gi Ep 8: Kirby again (a crazy action episode so the Series Animation director helps out) and so on and so on - *Now imagine doing this about 17 times nonstop with insane deadlines.* THATS One Piece at this point. Thinking about that, and knowing that directors rotate and complete a cycle about every 7 or 8 episodes (or roughly 2 months), That helps you realize how crazy the time crunch becomes, and so, it's best to move on than stay in place correcting really small stuff and congesting the rest of the staff like a really bad traffic jam. This means some art won't be corrected, or the corrections will be geared toward consistency. The show has a budget and it keeps that budget Budgets generally don't change unless time-slots change.
As for the episode's art, It's Naoki tate doing this episode - given your art critiques, you're probably going to hate where he goes later on, but during this era before he loosens up, his art is *Oda accurate* as hell. Seriously, his art side by side with the Manga makes it feel like Oda himself drew the scenes. This changes by around episode 190 though. He'll loosen up and becomes controversial because of his decision to make everything move so fluidly at the cost of detail.
It's not really about the fact that Bellamy doesn't have a dream. But Luffy doesn't want to waist energy fighting someone who just takes pleasure humiliating people who dare dreaming big. Luffy knows that dude won't go far with this comportment. He doesn't care, respect him or anything. He doesn't have anything to prove to those people, he's not fighting. I said it but that's really how you're going to know if you will love the characters psychology or just enjoy the big fights
The art style and animation of the anime varies a lot in quality and style. They spend more money on the scenes from the manga that people are excited to see animated and it shows. @@VulcanEditing It gets more pronounced as the series goes on. The one that baffles me to this day is the Tequila Wolf style. It shows up from time to time in Sabaody for a single shot and then it's back to normal. And then they used it for the entire Tequila Wolf mini-arc.

But imo he was just being loyal, and didn't question Luffy's decision.
Luffy did what Shanks did to the mountain bandits back at his hometown (he did not fight back). Luffy did not fight back because Luffy has no reason to do so because Bellamy is not going against Luffy and Zoro’s dreams due to Bellamy and his gang not having a dream of their own or given up believing in dreams; in addition, Luffy and Zoro did not fight back because Bellamy is not hurting Luffy’s friends.
Reason Why the animation fluctuates is because this show literally comes out every single saturday foro the last 21 years. Good animation and bad fluctuate based on episodes you'll notice it alot in the later episodes more but some episodes have higher budgets based on story the salvage part didnt need anything major these episode do ones with fights and stuff
So despite being stronger, Luffy refuses to fight Bellamy, leading them being wailed on and dragged out of the bar. In reality Luffy didn't fight because they weren't even worth the time, people who sail without a dream shouldn't be given that satisfaction, it's a lesson Luffy learned with Shanks long ago. But the big pie dude seems to get what they were doing Robin's visit to Jaya proved a bit more fruitful though, someone on Jaya who may know how lives along the coast, a Montblanc Cricket. Unfortunately though, Bellamy has ideas about meeting him too, hoping to crush Cricket's ambition too En route we get another unique diver, this time by an Orangutan looking guy called Shoujou - Masira's brother. But like his brother, it becomes an easy escape in the end, leading to the palace...which is not a palace XD Instead it's a cardboard cutout covering half a house on the edge of the sea, as well as a well known fairy tale: Noland the Liar. The tale is based on a true story of Montblanc Noland, Cricket's ancestor who tarnished their family name. Cricket himself still dives to the depths of Jaya, looking for this fabled City of Gold. Not because he believes Noland - despite many of his family believing him and knowing that the book rewrote him as a trickster character - but because of a war of wills between him and his ancestor. And surprise! Masira and Shoujou are his buddies, the Saruyama alliance. Noland may be a liar in his tale, but his logbook writes of a learned explorer mulling over things that fell from the sky, stuff even the Straw Hats can validate, something is there but the question is still how to go Up. Small segue though as Luffy and Zoro's bounties spread, Mihawk is a happy sword mentor/father/rival Up has an answer, the Knock-Up Stream. A very dangerous and volatile sea current that spouts like a geyser in certain spots around Jaya, difficult to time but not impossible, the upward force would be enough to send them into the sky - although there's no guarantee that you'd be in one piece (haha). There also lies the complication of arriving at the correct spot, for that we need a special species of bird, one that can only point South Unfortunately for you, the rush to get the bird leaves the Saruyama Alliance alone to encounter Bellamy
I do hope he gets bothered by it once he reaches the points where it gets really bad, most other reactors don’t really say anything negative about one piece, so I’d like to see someone actually give some criticism.
@@VulcanEditing i wouldnt really say art style is an issue, its just the animation in dressrosa is so... like, whats the point of adapting a manga into an anime if the manga looks like it has more movement than the animated one? Like, i get that its for the money, but like, c’mon. At least try.

5:28 little did he know lmao
blow him away with one punch he says hmmmmm
He did the same thing shanks did when a bandit
"i like this guy"
Luffy was trying to be like shanks
I swear RuffSenpai is gonna cry
20:26 he has got a marron on his head, pointless to lie
5:20 lol
The posters can be identify with the sounds
RUFF: I like this guy!
ME: I hate this guy!
But u can't deny the first time he appeared, he was very likeable.
I finally caught up 🎃
Its just puzzle u know. Wait until up to 200 eps, part by part will be reveal. Even small detail thing will be connecting part by part.
That guy bellamy isn't even worth the trouble, that's why he didn't fight him
I do wanna help out my boy, but I don't like energy drinks :/
Do me a favor and don’t forget Shoujou people mostly forget him after this saga and he’s my favorite character
Zehaha, i like that guy too
I love the fact that your first impression of Teach that you like him, he's one of if not the best character in One Piece
5:25 Remember these Words! Their weight will increase dramatically as the story continues.
Oh god, he likes that guy
So despite being stronger, Luffy refuses to fight Bellamy, leading them being wailed on and dragged out of the bar. In reality Luffy didn't fight because they weren't even worth the time, people who sail without a dream shouldn't be given that satisfaction, it's a lesson Luffy learned with Shanks long ago. But the big pie dude seems to get what they were doing
Robin's visit to Jaya proved a bit more fruitful though, someone on Jaya who may know how lives along the coast, a Montblanc Cricket. Unfortunately though, Bellamy has ideas about meeting him too, hoping to crush Cricket's ambition too
En route we get another unique diver, this time by an Orangutan looking guy called Shoujou - Masira's brother.
Small segue though as Luffy and Zoro's bounties spread, Mihawk is a happy sword mentor/father/rival
Up has an answer, the Knock-Up Stream. A very dangerous and volatile sea current that spouts like a geyser in certain spots around Jaya, difficult to time but not impossible, the upward force would be enough to send them into the sky - although there's no guarantee that you'd be in one piece (haha). There also lies the complication of arriving at the correct spot, for that we need a special species of bird, one that can only point South
Unfortunately for you, the rush to get the bird leaves the Saruyama Alliance alone to encounter Bellamy
Yo you're spoiling him
@@lordkristofertero3342 how? Everything in this comment is in the episodes he's watching on this recording
More of he summarized the episode
Ruff, the art and animation can be inconsistent in one piece sometimes, don't let it bother you too much.
I do hope he gets bothered by it once he reaches the points where it gets really bad, most other reactors don’t really say anything negative about one piece, so I’d like to see someone actually give some criticism.
@@baconyos5871 art style doesn’t actually bother a lot of people lol I myself have never found myself bothered by One Piece’s art style tbh.
@@VulcanEditing i wouldnt really say art style is an issue, its just the animation in dressrosa is so... like, whats the point of adapting a manga into an anime if the manga looks like it has more movement than the animated one? Like, i get that its for the money, but like, c’mon. At least try.
Thank you
DId sanji said he is from the north blue? hmm, a clue here
That guy looks cool
luffy said that black beard isn t 1 person ,,check what luffy said when nami asked ,,,he s more then 1 person ,,he said them,,blackbeard is more then 1 person in 1 nbody ,,don t worry no spoilers
It's alright if you would have fought that fight. Luffy just didn't feel there was a reason too. You don't have to agree with him.
Yeeeee boiii
Srry this is sudden but I went over to Patreon and some of these videos are not uploaded there/ can’t watch it
I really wanted to rewatch the series but i would’ve been bored if I watch it alone
If you can help fix this I would be happy without cuts and enjoy watching again with first time reaction to my fav anime
U cut out a key line. Nami asks who he is. Luffy and zoro know its a "they not he". Whether that means they know he's a pirate with a crew or this is an illusion to the weirdness of bb body who knows.
ZEYAHAHAHA ZEYAHAHAHA ZEYAHAHAHA ZEYAHAHAHA
Bellamy didn't believe in dreams, so he's not a worthy opponent that's why luffy didn't fight him
