I am one elderly woman who believes that Ramadan is not daunting, or difficult. On the contrary it is energising, it reduces inflammation in the body and is the best 'medicine' for the sick and elderly people who fast for the right intention.
Considering the comfort crisis that we are facing, we should celebrate Ramadan 3 times a year to cure our comfort diseases. During sahabah time , they did face comfort diseases

@ponderingspirit Well, he does mention the movie in this lecture. He is aware of significant pop culture moments, though obviously not immersed in them.
@@ponderingspirit He's clearly aware of the term redpill and its usage in online spaces. They don't use "red-pilled" as a term in the movie. What is more likely is that he's become aware of this term due to its popularity in the childish online Islamic discourse that is being popularized by the likes of Daniel Haqiqatjou (and his opponents) and Muhammad Hijab's association with Andrew Tate and decided to include the green pill quip as a way to appeal to young Muslims and to drive them away from this infantile, vacuous debate of feminism vs redpill.
I came all the way from Sydney just so I could lay my eyes on the Shaykh, yet the masjid is almost empty. I don't think people know who this man is. Perhaps we will only realise when it's too late.
Many got "hooked" by the title and the thumbnail 😂. Alhamdulillah for some small minority (usually around 10k) the sermons of sheikh Murad is of course attractive without any additional advertising. Because his speeches are so deep that for those who yearn for the depth they're godsend.
Alhamdulillah. Allah has bestowed us with such an Islamic Scholar like Abdal Hakim Murad Sir. Don't know how to thank modern technology that we are blessed to watch such contents for free on UA-cam. Thanks to Cambridge Central Mosque UA-cam Channel and thanks to the people who invented UA-cam. It's like a day dreaming for me to watch the contents of a Professor at the University of Cambridge. Please pray for me when you break your fast, please*
O Allah, bless our dear sheikh with a long life and one full of your ita’at (obedience). A true sufi master and traditionalist who has learnt the ways of the heart and divine love. Not many English speaking shuyookh have the depth that Sheikh possesses and the dawah that comes from it is a blessing for those who cannot speak Urdu or Arabic in which there is abundant literature and teachers of Sufism.
All of those who comment please go visit the nearest National Park! And think about all of the things that our beloved and dear teacher mansion! Try to imagine you are going back to home! I lost my father yesterday, Friday before Dzuhr 9 Ramadan 1444 / 31 March 2023 (Allahummaghfirlahu warhamhu wa a'fihi wa'fu 'anhu), and I'm grieving. I'm still processing... the pain of losing him comes and goes, in waves.... Suddenly I thought of our Cambridge imam, Tim Winter / 'Abdal Hakim Murad. Though this dars does not directly relate to my situation, I'm extremely calmed by the shaykhs' familiar voice and insightful comments. 'In worship, there is freedom'. And for one who hikes regularly, his point hits especially close to home. Thank you Allah. Alhamdulillah....
Ameen, jazakAllah khair sheikh, listening you always brings peace to my mind, very eloquently and in sweet voice you teach us Masha Allah,May Allah grant you baraka and highest reward for all this.
Wa alaykum As'Salam wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh. Eid ul Fitr Mubarak. Allahumma Salli wa Sallam ala Sayidina Muhammad wa 'ala alihi wa sahbihi ajma'in 🤲🌙❤️
Thats interesting, to see beyond the form one must be human. And to be human one must remind themselves of their mortality as human, And to remind themselves they must take actions like prayer (humility) and fasting. I'm converting to islam, i felt like christianity never teached humility. Maybe guilt but not humility. Thank you.
Love from Pakistan Sheikh. Sheikh Hamza Yusuf compliments of you brought me to your Khudbas and I'm glad that I found you. 22:30 And here you have led me to Ibrahim Bin Adam.
Jordan Peterson and Shaykh Abdal Hakim Murad should have a dialogue in Cambridge. Their combined insights would be greatly appreciated by many, similar to the impact of the Hamza Yusuf interview. Discussing the "religion of nature" (dīn al-fiṭrah) with Jordan, especially in relation to our inherent nature and understanding of evolutionary history and archetypes, would be enlightening. They can explore the balance of psychology, spirituality, and philosophy. The points made by Shaykh Murad on 'The Nature of Nature' delving into the philosophical and psychological implications of human understanding of the self from an islamic point of view would resonate with and potentially complement Jordan's expertise, bridging any gaps in his islamic understanding of Fitra and Submission.

Indeed... It works for my bursitis.
Beautiful. God bless you.
SubhanAllah I find during Ramadan my psoriasis calms down and skin feels and looks better. Alhamdulillah for this blessed gift.

I saw you Allah
In the play of the toddler
The passions of youth
The dedication of a father
And the shield of morality
I saw you Allah
In the trials of life
The soreness of the heart
The weakness of limbs
And the consolement from prayer
I saw you Allah
In the leaving of the day

In the final breath

Same here. Alhamdulilah for our honorable teacher! Sheikh's words are like gems, rare and beautiful.
Sheikh Murad referencing the Matrix and pop culture is so cool.
Ahaha forreal. He's getting a bit hip 😅

Kudos to whoever made the thumbnail and chose the title. You had me at hello, and then I was absorbed until the end.
Haha you had no choice but to "be absorbed" till the end.
Agreed! The green pill as the antidote to the crazy pills all over the internet
Sheikh Abdal is a gentleman in the true sense of the word. He's eloquent and it is a delight to listen to him.

For Ramadan
The auspicious month
Of the Qur'an
The blessed month
Of patience
To awaken
From heedlessness
And seriously reflect
To aspire for Paradise
And protection from Hell
To fast from dawn
Until the dusk
To tame the ego
And caprice
And glorify Allah
To help the needy
And those in distress
To ask for forgiveness
And mend the broken ties
To feed the fasting believers
And the destitute
To straighten the rows in salaah
Respecting diversity
And uniting as one Ummah
To productively appreciate
The respite from Iblees
And pray for all
The dwellers on Earth
Placing our trust
In Allah alone
And remember O Muslim
Every second of Ramadan
Is so very precious
So believer cheer up!
And say Alhamdullillah
And welcome Ramadan !
In dispensing knowledge Sheikh knows exactly what is useful and what is pedantics.
