When our local Parish Priest passed away....he had put aside $500 in his last Will and Testament to be used specifically for Masses to be said in remembrance of his name and the repose of his soul. I do pray for holy souls in purgatory. So yesterday when I started saying my rosary for this intention I felt a great peace and a strong presence of the Holy Spirit. It almost made me tremble. Thank you for the post.

There used to be close to 500 K priests in 1950. Than in the 60s it dropped. Unfortunately you can also find out how many priests were convicted of sinful acts. Once a priest dies they are remembered for awhile and then forgotten which is really sad!
Most people go to Purgatory unless they are in perfect grace at the time of their death. If you don't want to go to Purgatory, Jesus tells us through the Mystic Luisa Piccarreta how this can be achieved.
Yes, it is kind a scary. Even more scary is that according to Maria Simma even Padre Pio was in purgatory. On the other hand according to her Herman Goring was there too. He should be in heaven now if i remember correctly. We never know the true state of other soul. So, we should never judge. But the most important thing is that purgatory is matter of choice for every sould. Soul is not ordered to go there. It is his/ her choice if feels unworthy to go straight to heaven and when feels dirty.

But I believe that it is not just in this time of lent that we should pray to priests, bishops, popes and all holy servants of GOD. We should pray for them everyday for their many years of service to the catholic church. Yes I had dreams I believe of Purgatory 🙏🏼❤️. There are different levels I believe. Yes they are ascension eventually, unfortunately people close to them are assumed they go straight to haven, and not praying for them (I witness this a lot, and the souls ask in my dream to pray for them). But we don’t know what the thing they did that displease the Lord. That’s why we are given Grace to pray for souls in purgatory.

So, based on this calculation, around 3,080 people would be expected to die each year in a population of 400,000 people. The average of the total amount of priests is about 400,000 roughly. Yeah priests need prayers for being in purgatory, it's actually been my focus for awhile because they are often forgotten about which is kinda sad. I like catholic priests I know the devil likes to put them into situations that are quite difficult AKA the trolley problem and I feel bad for them but am also excited that they are in a position of authority so it's a roller coaster...
The fuss is about the Traditonal Latin Mass being removed / restricted, even though many young converts, reverts, and young families are filling the Traditional parishes. @contemplatingchrist well after doing very little research, I found the Latin Mass is over 1700 years old. The Novus Ordo is around 60 years old. I just can not wrap my head around why Rome (Pope/Bishops) would want to cancel such a beautiful tradition.
I was raised in the New mass but now attend the Latin Mass. It contains much more of the sacred content that naturally developed from the time of the Apostles. It is God centered versus the more modern protestantized version created in the 60s. It is less about Latin and more about sacred content. 😢

Well, if you would ever really have read the apostolic letter, you might have realized that he put out a parish where they say the old rite in Paris as an example for what he expects. It’s not that he forbids it. He has some doubts that the pastoral care is met properly. And if I’m honest: I do understand why. The problem is that I know a lot of people who attend the Latin mass who start criticizing everything and everyone that are not attending it. And as I understand it: some seem to give the impression that they are the Pope and think they know everything. And that is the problem. It’s the problem of pride and of disobedience and criticism. We do not have a perfect Pope and we will never have a perfect one. But we have a rather good Pope and he is like a strict father to the Traditionalsists not because he doesn’t cherish them but to help them to become holier and to convert where it’s necessary.

Every night my family pray the Holy Rosary for all souls in purgatory especially in the first, second and third ,and for the souls that their family and relatives abandoned them. And the souls of my family, relatives , friends and also for our fraternal and maternal ancestors. And all the cardinals, bishops, priests, religious clergy,nuns, sisters, brothers,monks and friars.
