Great reaction 😊
Hi Ruky, RAF stands for Royal Air Force, the worlds first independent air force, formed 1st April 1918 from the army's Royal Flying Corps, and the navy's Royal Naval Air Service. The RAF base at Coningsby is not only the base of two front-line squadrons and the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, it's also the base where all Typhoon pilots are trained. I'm not sure what the rotation time between QRA duties are, but with the number of pilots in the rotation it could be as little as once a week.
You British still doing a good job. I wish you well in the future and keep safe thank you. 🇬🇧
Nice one young lady thanks.
The pilots can use hand signals in case they have have a communication problem the last thing they want to do is shoot someone but I am glad they are there. Thank you for your videos and content and your interest in other countries and people
There are internationally agreed protocols in place to cater for various scenarios with respect to interceptions. In the event of simple radio communication problems the INTERCEPTOR flies specific profiles that the INTERCEPTED aircraft will recognise and then follow the INTERCEPTOR to land at a specified airport. If the INTERCEPTED aircraft follows the visual instructions then it's perfectly safe. The ultimate sanction will only be implemented if the INTERCEPTED aircraft does not follow the internationally agreed protocols that follow a prescribed escalation process.
Pilots didn't want their surnames used, then the camera shows their rank and name written on the plane!
That is not their names on the side of the typhoon. "Jon" became famous in a way flying for the RAF Red Arrows display team.
Some of your questions are answered by a true story about the intrusion of a foreign fighter jet into NATO territory. The description of the events can be found on Wikipedia under the heading "1989 Belgium MiG-23 crash".
