I started a dachshund tree in honor of my doxie Rosie years ago and have collected many dachshund ornaments. Sadly, she crossed the Rainbow Bridge last year, but I put her tree up anyway topped with a dachshund angel last Christmas. There were tears in my eyes, but I love that tree intend to do it again this year. New ornaments will be added for my new rescue Min Pin Poppy. Thank you for the great inspiration!
I remember decorating my big tree one year, collapsing on the sofa in exhaustion to admire my work, and seeing a tiny yellow kitten face poked out at the very tippy top!

So cute! While the deer tramp across my place all the time, I rarely pay attention to them anymore. However, y'all have made me real how much I miss having a dog! I love that tree so much; reminds me of long-gone (but still in our hearts) family pets. My dad (age 93) would especially love that, and you've inspired me to "do" a mini tree for him. As always, thank you for being so generous with your ideas.

In my home the two cats are the ones that love the trees more than anyone. I had to buy a bigger one so they have room to sleep on its branches!

My prescription glasses! Twice, once she chewed them up, the other time I trip over the fence trying to get her back in the yard and my glasses fell off and were chipped.

Our mini Aussie when she was a puppy she ate the cord of 2 Christmas trees. One tree I had to throw away and the other I cut all the lights off.

Our dog likes to lay under our tree. But when she was a puppy she thought the ornaments were toys. She would take them off and try to chew on them.

It's so disrespectfull to let the dogs bite like that. Small dogs get away with stuff they just should'nt.
@moaahlgren5193 You are very correct! Ours are Jack Russell Terrorists- they are very protective of their home and family. Last Christmas, my adult granddaughter got after her 3 yo daughter for being naughty. The dogs went into protect the baby mode. Luckily they were all leashed and controlled. No one is left with the dogs unsupervised and controlled.
@@moaahlgren5193 Agreed. Some think little dogs can’t really hurt anyone. We have a friend who was recently bitten on the arm fairly severely by one of her friends little dogs. It’s been in a wrap for 3 weeks already where her flesh is gone. 😢

Those are kute 🦌 s I used to have one that looked like that when I was a kid, I used to sleep with him and go everywhere with it. My mean sisters said that he ran away because I didn't feed him. They got rid of him cause they were mean. 😂😂 anyways great 🌲🌲🌲

I have a new kitten also and trying to figure out how I am going to keep him out of the tree. I wish there was a tree alarm that would make a noise when the tree was touched maybe that would scare him away from it.

Make sure your tree is stabilized - tied to something, maybe. Good luck
