- LSU Baseball and Florida Baseball played in game 1 of the 2023 College World Series Finals. The best of 3 series will determine the 2023 National Champion.

The best part of my work as a UA-camr is being able to provide coverage of sports that may not receive as much attention as they should to the large audience I have built over the years. Many of the sports I cover aren't posted by any other UA-camrs, which makes this channel that much more important.
One of my favorite accomplishments is revolutionizing the way sports channels create thumbnails. I've adopted two different styles, one with logos on the left and a game snapshot on the right, and the other with the logos in the middle and game snapshots representing both teams on either side.
I have a combined 4 years of experience as a Baseball & Basketball Play by Play announcer, which is where I learned my skills for commentary/breakdowns.

You truly can’t fathom what this was like unless you were there. I’ve NEVER felt electricity like that in a sporting event. Behind first base we saw every play happen and had goosebumps the whole game. Biloxi to Omaha was a hell of a ride, but glad we made it. Geaux Tigahs.
I was in left field and went wild when Pearson caught the ball. As soon as it left the bat I was thinking “this is over” and it quickly went to me screaming that he caught it, then screaming to get a double play at second lmao.

Dude what an actual game absolutely amazing. I wish I saw more of Flyod's sequences because that guy is a genius doing something right. How does he keep getting away with these high fastballs.
His fastball has 18 inches of vertical run. It’s better than most MLB pitchers

Pearson’s catch in left saved the game
Seemed like he had it all the way but the ball might have had some backspin. Definitely didn’t fake the jump from the replay but live it looked like he tried to sell it to double up the runner. Ball probably sailed but I’d say I was trying get a double play. Guys had some great catches in the sun this cws he’s made look routine. As a Tennessee fan I hope lsu wins it. Yall been playing some incredible ball and are fun to watch.
Cooper should be buying him dinner for the rest of the Summer because he saved him on that play.

Thompson cost LSU a double play by catching that then throwing to 2nd. If he just lets that go, it's a double play. It turned out ok, but could've not. Not to mention he's like 0-35 this tournament with like 25 K's and rollovers to 3rd/SS. He's terrible.
Pearson ain't in for his hitting or on base % him and Thompson are basically an automatic out at the plate but are both defensive playmakers. Pearson made at least 6 run stopping plays in Omaha alone.

Im born n raised here in Louisiana,so im definitely a tigers fan but I'm happy for both team no matter what the results are.All these kids played great go get where they at and deserve nothing but respect 🫡....good job boys!

Night and day from a team like Tennessee. It's pretty obvious how character is an obvious pre-requisite to play for LSU.
Even for a kid from Canada in 1997, LSU was the school I dreamed of pitching for. Injury kept that from happening but have always cheered since. Hell, I don't even like football but never miss a Bengals game because of the obvious connection.
I really hope that one day my country embraces college sports like our southern brothers.

@TheRayOfBlue Florida and Georgia are about 4x the size of Louisiana. If kids only went to state schools then Alabama wouldn't be in CFB Top 4 every year.
Entertaining and talented for sure. Likeable? They have a lot of weird sexual energy with one another. Whenever the camera pans over to their dugout, or when they're celebrating a win, they always have some sort of sexual celebration going on.

Ty Floyd with 27 strikeouts vs #1 Wake Forest and #2 Florida. Riley Cooper with 4 saves in the College World Series. Beloso and Dugas with lead changing homers. Tommy Tanks with 2 go ahead or game sealing homers. Pearson with clutch catches. If this LSU team wins tomorrow, they may go down as one of the greatest college baseball teams of all time. The performances they have had as a unit is insane. One more game boys, we have to stop leaving RISP. WE WANT #7. GEAUX TIGERS!

@@francisbishop5158today was his second day of rest, game 2 should be out of the question for him. If he throws in game 3 it’ll be an inning max
They’ll see him in the MLB, they shouldn’t push to throw him again in the CWS, maybe an inning or 2 in game 3 if absolutely necessary

Ty Floyd pitches the game of his life, 17Ks, Beloso hits the game winner, Cooper showing out to close it, Tommy with another huge homer. The whole team stepped up today when Crews wasnt at his best and Skenes wasnt pitching. Absolutely amazing TEAM performance
Not even a LSU fan but they are the best college baseball team I've ever seen seems like they have no flaws and that pitching staff is unmatched
What rhey got about 3 or 4 good hitters, their offense doesn't scare anybody, scones and white have carried them .

ANOTHER GREAT GAME..I'm not sure I've seen so many high intensity close games as I have during this years CWS....Those who understand the nuances of baseball can appreciate the chess match that is going on with every pitch....I've really enjoyed the series and this game...which is strange for me becaue if my school is NOT competing I usually have zero interest....This is somehow different though so good job by both teams....
Now, as an AU alumnus....I decided I have to get behind one team and be against the other...Throughout the CWS I will admit I have pulled against the Gators after watching their first game and have been supporting LSU. Although I'm a guy who was born and lived in South Florida....have an older brother still living in Florida....I do not have a bond or any reason to back the Gators in this matchup...I have or had 9 relatives that lived and/or that still ive in LA ...from each side of my family...My mom's side, an Aunt & Uncle and 3 cousins...my Uncle was a game warden in one of the southern Parishes West and South of New Orleans....I still get freaked out sometimes thinking back when I was a kid and my Uncle would take us kids into the Bayou at night ...that was creepy ... On my Dad's side he has a brother ( my Uncle) who moved his family or better stated he was stationed at Ft Polk Army Base forever ago...He was well known on and around the base and when he retired he was a full bird Colonel....once they arrived at Ft Polk he was never stationed anywhere else...They were/are HUGE LSU FANS...My parents and my Uncles as well as 2 of my cousins are no longer with us (RIP)....I've watched both teams and IMO, I could be wrong but LSU players seem to conduct themselves with encouragement, passion, and confidence but it's never show boating, in your face, look at me constant chirping that I witnessed in a couple of the games from the Florida players...as an old school player from the 80s @ AU I just have a low tolerance for showing up another player in a ball game...Baseball is just different and while I could be wrong ...I have more respect for the LSU players and team as a whole...The WHO GIVE A RAT'S RIP CATEGORY I CHOOSE LSU ALL DAY LONG...For some reason the Gator players remind me of Bammer fans...kinda strange but that prokect that same level of...well....who cares...both teams deserve to be in the finals ....I just hope the fans and players represent in a positive way... So I will be pulling for the Purple and Gold to take home the trophy in 2...

Like CS Fullerton in the yearly 90s ummm Miami Fl in the late 90s yearly 2000s, LSU mid 90’s for games for performances late 2000s Oregon State, 20teens Vandy, it’s a lot and once the picture quality is low I s top going back USC Carolina had so performances and games, but it was a good game not saying it wasn’t

Skenes and Floyd have two of the best fastballs in the sport, amateaur or professional. Skenes paints the corners with high RPM ropes like Strider, and Floyd has more run than any major leaguer ive seen.
Pirates need Skenes BAD. He could literally start in the rotation his first year.

There’s absolutely no way LSU doesn’t win a national championship this year. Their team is incredible to watch. So much talent and charisma. I started watching them mid season. Just something about the way they play makes you believe they’re a title contender from the very start.

Difference of the game, Gators did not make an adjustment at the plate, they kept swinging at the high rising fastball. Coaches did not talk to their hitters to lay off high fastballs out of the zone. Keep em coming Wheels.

This was another amazing game and outstanding pitching by floyd. Im glad we won but man, if just 1 person got a hit about 15 different times, we never go in to extras. I think we left 18 on total, 17 in the first 7 innings. We had every opportunity to blow this game wide open. Besides jobert in game 1 against Tennessee, our bottom 4 are not hitting at all. Well melazzo has a couple hits but they better start hitting. I want to win game 2 and not even have to play game 3 and I want to win big. My nerves can't take these nail biters anymore. But hey, if we win, I'm good either way.

@JeremySims-fv5gi yeah no doubt, I’m not taking anything away from them gators. I feared wake’s pitching more than Florida’s so far though. LSU’s bullpen has stepped up when needed but you can’t leave that many runners on base and expect Florida NOT to capitalize off of it. Them Florida baws definitely eat their cornbread.

@@FCBanes Yes LSU did come through the Loser Bracket but look at Wake Forest the momentum was all on there side then what happened they lost the big close out then what happened next the Momentum shifted to LSU side in the Winner take all game and LSU came on top and got to Finals against Florida.
Look at Florida they had a Huge advantage because they rested longer then LSU they had all the Chances to Punch LSU in the mouth to stop there momentum but lost last night LSU momentum way higher and the pressure less on them and The pressure Rose higher on Florida side now today in Game 2 they fighting with everything they got to force a deciding game 3
