    thank you your a very good player and have become a very good harp customizer i tend to over-emboss then have to fix it glad to see u use min oil 'WAY LESS BURRS also glad someone finally mentioned [that when u use metal to metal at some point u have have to 'rebuff' the emboss tool] i still am mediocre at embossing buy the way arzajac has great tools for sale for harp Thanks very much for the info and info at MBH

    hi andrew, do you generally do both sides of the reedplate when embossing?

    i don't get how scraping the reed slot makes the reed slot smaller

      Andrew is actually 'swedging', by wiki: "To shape metal using a hammer or other force.". In the case of the reed slot, from the edge of the slot is into the slot and there by making it narrower, closer to the reed. All of that effort is to reduce the air flow an around the reed and better direct it to the reed thus improving reed response.
