- It’s been a long time coming, but a remake of the 1994 cult classic film The Crow (which was based on the comic book series created by James O’Barr) will finally be making its way out into the world on August 23rd, which is when Lionsgate will be giving the film a theatrical release. With that release date swiftly approaching, we figured we should gather together all the information we have on this movie… and here it is, Everything We Know About The Crow Remake.

I saw The Crow in theaters 30 years ago and it blew my mind. It was the perfect combination of a great lead performance, a terrific ensemble cast, a visionary filmmaker, stylistic production design, a beautiful score, and a kick ass soundtrack. None of the sequels or this remake has captured the lightening in the bottle of the original. And adding more crows isn’t impressing me.
I saw it when I was 14 as soon as it was released in theaters. It was an opus for all moody Goth kids. Amazing film!
*Anyone who says their remake film isn't being made to compete with the original, is just preemptively making excuses for their expected failures...*
I just rewatched the original, and I can definitely see where a remake could be different yet still good. Its definitely less likely, but here's hoping it's great yet different.
I’m excited for it
This wouldve been fine if it wasn't a remake and just another Crow movie
I wish they'd stop remaking films that are perfect just the way they are!
I’m been waiting for second trailer now!
There are Crows who aren't Eric Draven hollywood. Look to the other Crow comics and adapt one of those. Dravens story doesnt need to be remade/reimagined or whatever they can call it.
it seem like everyone that played "the crow"...their career didn't go so well.
Mark Dacascos is doing pretty good
I still have my movie ticket for the original "The Crow" film, along with fond movies of watching it for the first time. Hollywood can only imitate the past but in so doing they remind us that they are a mere shadow of what they used to be... a pale imitation of something so MUCH BETTER. Creativity has died in Hollywood and all that is left is the cash grab reboot, the adaptation, the sequel and the 'franchise.' It's so stale, boring and predictable. I recommend you watch international films instead. Hollywood is done, but you already knew that.
The Crow was a perfect film. It does not need a reboot. It didn't need sequels either. STOP REBOOTING OUR CHILDHOOD. Y'all will never be as cool as Gen X. Just stop it, her some help.
i'm going to go see the Original movie on May 29th, i won't see this dumpster fire
We are going to put enough of the remakes already. Come on hollywood, come up with your own damn ideas already. It's one thing to turn literature into a movie, that's commonplace and has been for a while but all of these remakes before people who saw the original are dead in the ground is just money grabbing and completely goes against what's the artistic intent of making movies doing music writing literature and all other arts.
Nope
I'm with the original director this movie looks like trash just quick throwing together movie to make money off the IP New directors don't have the style or the vision to pull off what was once a labor of love I'm not going to the theaters to see this I like Skarsgard but not in everything and they're milking him there's only two crow movies to me I know other people have problems with the sequel but those two are the only ones that exist to me
It's a no for me
Looks like crap
