now that ive seen this, im actually impressed with the majority of the guns in Delta Force. they seem to have more weight to them and more recoil compared to 2042 and they sound meatier as well.
@@Zhy-yr3kh Movement too realistic, got you. It's not arcade. Original Delta Force isn't either. Idk what this df will be. Titanfall was the last great arcade shooter.
In regards to gun animation DF wins but on the battlefield I still find 2042 looks better. They’re is something more cartoonish or ground war like in DF. I prefer the third person model animations in BF and especialy the explosions and particle effects. But as I’m on console I haven’t tried it and I am very anxious to do so

Try this, scroll down listen to the video without seeing which game is which. You immediately notice DF has barely any echoes, and it the sound is simply louder. The sound design isn't better by any means, and this is quite apparent when you play the two games. DF is good, but BF has always been king in sound design. The variation in gun sound based on environment in BF is incredible. DF guns are fairly static in this regard, as if they recorded the sounds of the real weapons on the range (which is fantastic don't get me wrong), but didn't consider just how different guns sound when you are inside and outside. For BF its not even inside and outside, even inside depending on the size of the room its dynamic.
I had barely been in the armory for an hour and had made myself a weapon when after 10 minutes I realized that a lot of people here improve their skills with completely different "tools".
Yeah they sound realistic. They definitely were recording real guns, but that simply isn't enough. Dice records the real guns, but they do it dynamically. This is very apparent when you hear how Dice weapons sound different based on environment. Just comparing them in an enclosed room does not do 2042 justice.
I'd be so much more hyped without the abilities, I hope they will add a game mode without the main abilities down the line. Always a damn caveat with FPS games these days.
I was quite enthusiastic at the beginning of the alpha, but now my opinion has changed. The game is very chaotic and doesn't have a good sense of strategy, you don't have to be cunning or strategic, you just have to charge straight into the thick of it? You quickly and often find yourself with enemies behind you, not to mention the 64 specialists who use their trump cards an entire game, pffffff! boring! In addition to this, cheaters are becoming more and more common in operation mode, and we've been victims of them several times. Honestly, if Dice is smart and makes a good old-fashioned Battlefield, I think Delta Force will feel it.
One thing I don't really understand is DF's hipfire. The come out in a completely random cone taking up most of the screen. It not only looks goofy but I'd imagine is terrible gameplay-wise. I like how tight hipfire is in 2042 and how it's viable to not ADS in close quarters.
@Viher_Ukki_Tosi Lol Do you think guns do that in real life? DF isn't a tactical shooter, it's a battlefield style hero shooter, and literally every tactical shooter besides siege has precise hipfire.
@Viher_Ukki_Tosi Fair enough. It's just marketting buzzwords. I think I remember COD trying to call itself a tactical shooter around the time of Cold War as well.

The fact that the people who created this game actually use guns in real life and they themselves went to the range and recorded authentic gun sounds is quite remarkable.
Delta Force keeps winning. 2042 assault rifle, and most guns just share the same reload animation. It feels like more thought was put into the feel, weight and reloads of weapons in DF
Tbf they're going for different styles. 2042 animations are a lot more realistic, DF are more stylistic like COD's. DF definitely has better weapon model fidelity though. I'd be curious how comparisons are outside of the firing range and in an actual match.
I don't care if delta force copies some things (which i don't think it does) from BF 2042, i'll play DF for new gun models with animation and maps that are 1000% better than 2042 maps.

Apparently they recorded real gun sounds and reloads IRL it’s pretty cool
@Ty2late oh that makes sense. The older Dice used to do that as well.
@@nickfrank4936 They still did that in 2042

@HoaxHoax-d5f that true
Not keeping my hopes up for this game, but at least hoping that DICE wakes up and gives us a banger of a BF next year...
they won't remeber its EA people who made bf4 no longer work there

Aww hell yeah, the scar h is in the game 😎😎😎
One thing that i loved from bf2042 was its recoil not stupid
The sound in Delta Force is very impressive
0:17 when did pic rail have that much spacing in between on top?
Battlefield 2042 guns don't have the typical rails. They are fictionalized.

Not a huge fan of the sound design in DF. The guns just sound kinda flat, but there’s no question the weapons overall just look way better
