I came to your channel late but am looking forward to going back and watching the whole series. At one time I hated anything to do with the NEC but job responsibilities forced me to. gain a passing familiarity with it. A few years later i studied for and passed the master electrician exam for
    Wisconsin and worked in the
field for many years. It grew on me and although I have been retired for 8 years now I still find the code fascinating. Your presentations have been very well done and I have enjoyed them immensely. Thank you and I hope you do more of this in the future... George(iaov)

Appreciate the time and effort that you put in doing these videos, your humility and personability really made them a joy to watch.
I was just in Florida on a project, and they were required to put a surge protector dedicated for the fire alarm control panel circuit no closer than 3 ft from it.
Here's an idea, how about a series on tables & chats in the N.F.P.A. but first enjoy what's left of Summer!
    😊

Thank you very much. I found this to be of great value. Loved the short, to the point, clear knowledge sharing form someone who knows it very well. You made it as fun as one could I think. You are a great teacher.

Ryan, you have done a fantastic job hands down. This 100 days series will have a nd is saving thousands of lives and equipment. Your efforts are valued and appreciated and will be put to good use. It's true, the best way to learn something is to teach it to others. Thank you

This has been awesome! I hope you do more series like this in the future, whether it be code changes or just teaching the code in general

Thank you for such a wonderfully explained and completely thorough overview of the changes this year. I have watched every single one of your videos in the series and I've even been able to share some valuable knowledge with my colleagues pertaining to issues we've encountered lately. My boss was impressed by my ability to site things he didn't even know had changed and now he comes to me asking code rules since I "seem to know it pretty well" so thank you Ryan for helping make me a more valuable resource at work!

Hello Ryan, sorry to ask on this format but I’m in a bit of a bind.
I have a small transformer-(a separately derived system)- 10KVA single phase 480 stepping down to 120/240. My question is on grounding and bonding. The transformer is feeding a 100 panel board with a 100 amp main in the panel.
The MBJ (green screw) is attached in the panel.
My neutral point is X2-X3 in the transformer. It is connected to ground. Ground is connected to the source feeding the transformer, and grounded to building steel.
I am not sure if I need to send another ground out to my new panel, or just use the neutral conductor as the green screw is attached. Im worried about the parallel path I will create. Any tips or video references?
Thank you for all you do.

If the transormer is connected to ground you need to remove the green screw in the panelboard.

@@RyanJacksonElectrical thank you sir!!!! I believe that was the case, and I need to install a supply side bonding jumper.
My confusion lies in the term “the first means of disconnect” as this will be the first means of disconnect for the new system. However upon reflecting and studying this morning I believe that may only apply to services although I may be wrong. Thank you for your prompt response and your many great services. I hope one day to be half the code guy that you are!!!

I made it. I only want to pass my master exam. After that you can have the code back. I thought that they weren't going to need surge protection for diesel fire alarm control panels. /s
