    Yum! Looks super easy! Though in my preference I'd probably use almonds or pistachios as the nuts. And maybe a sprinkle of salt at the end for some salty sweet flavoring :)

    Hi, I have a last batch of 157gm of cornflakes which i would like to use for honey cornflakes as above recipe. The first time i did i double your butter and ingredients at 60gm each and abt 50gm cornflakes but there were excess of liquid from the butter and honey. Plse let me know how much to use for the honey and butter etc for 157gm of cornflakes. appreciated. tq

      @asianwicked 10 років тому

      i think if you melt honey and butter in the microwave and then bake it a few minute in the oven ..should be good. you want to toast it alittle for the flavor and crunchiness

      perhaps you can try. maybe you should prepare the caramel first and add the butter after that.

    Why is there no sugar for your recipe? Some other versions come with adding a little sugar.. Is it to make it more healthy?

    • @nyonyacooking

    I made this but it was waaaaaaay to oily and it tasted more like caramel and it was kind of sticky.. What did I do wrong..

    • @nyonyacooking
      @nyonyacooking  9 років тому +1

      Victoria Wee It is supposed to taste like caramel a little and would be sticky in the pan. That was why the cornflakes could bind together. Don't have the heat too high or else it could caramelised too soon before you could have the cornflakes in. Give it another try? Also remember to have the butter and honey mixture to lightly bubble and that is the time you should add the cornflakes yea.

    very easy :D but would it still be ok if i dont bake it ? i dont really know how to use an oven, hihi.

    • @CologneCarter
      @CologneCarter 10 років тому +2

      It's easy.
      You turn the knob or press the button to the desired temperature. Reaching the temperature should take about 15 mins. This is called preheating.
      Now you open the door, insert the tray in the middle, close the door and bake your cookies. After the requested bake time, you open the door, take out the tray and shut off your oven.
      BTW, your oven comes with a manual. If you displaced it, you can google it. Unless your oven is something exotic or a hundred years old, you should find a manual.

    • @luvmia97blogspot
      @luvmia97blogspot 10 років тому

      lol. thank you. i only need the preheating tips tho. everyone knows how to open the door, insert tray, close the door :P

    • @CologneCarter
      @CologneCarter 10 років тому +1

      liacokelat Well, for this recipe you preheat at 170° C which is 338° F. If you are using F take the temperature setting that comes cosest 338. Wait until the oven is preheated, bake the goodies for 5-10 mins and you are done.

    • @luvmia97blogspot
      @luvmia97blogspot 10 років тому

      Awww, thank you for this information ^_^ The reasons of why i dont bake eventhough I always watch cooking videos are because im not sure how long I should preheat the oven, what temperature do I need to use and how long do i bake the food. I've tried making baked potatoes and they were awful., haha :P
      I'll try making this recipe with your tips, then i think it'll be easier for me to get familiar with using oven :)

    • @CologneCarter
      @CologneCarter 10 років тому +1

      liacokelat You always preheat the oven at the baking temperature that is indicated in the recipe.
      If you find a recipe where putting it in the oven is required, meke sure you get the essential informations.
      Baking/cooking temperature (there are temperature converters online if neccessary)
      Is preheating needed or not? (most times it is and if you want it fool proof, get a oven thermometer)
      On which level to set the tray/pot/cake tin
      How long to bake (don't rely on it soley, test if it is done
      How to check if it is done (taking internal temperature with meat, tooth pick test with cake and so on)
      There are videos on youtube on how to use an oven and and an oven thermometer
