    The 250L, with a few upgrades...is a hard bike to beat for the price and if you have your MC license.
    Being able to effortlessly transition from on/off road with negligible differences is something truly amazing.
    Put a 13T and 44T sprockets on it, and at the least a slip on RM-4...and the L will easily out class the stock R on and off road.
    Not to mention a pair of AC-10’s for tires and you’re set.

    They are such different bikes. it would be like comparing a car to a boat. It all depends on what you use them for. if you want to ride on the road you get the 250L if your going to do 100% off road youd probably get the 250r

    The CRF 250r is a race bike.. I think the L did pretty good.. If they had been on the street the L would have smoked him because the R would run out of gear lol

    Hey Champ, Geart Vid. Pushed me over the line in terms of what bike to pick. Got approved for my 2nd bike today (Current is ZX-10) and only have a choice of Yam WR250r or the CRF250L. Been searching all arvo for a decent vid to show off the bike and now i have found it. My 1st bike was a Honda and i could not kill it (81' XL250) so was kinda leaning that way. Look out for my new dirt vids coming sooon!!!

    Yeah but i have no trailer or car to take it to decent riding places even though I'm living in a tinny town. Got my ZX-10 for power anyway :D

    • @SpaceAceTX
      @SpaceAceTX 8 років тому +4

      I know this question wasn't directed at me but I bought a new 2015 CRF250L and I think I have found the perfect exhaust.
      FMF Megabomb paired with the FMF Q4 pipe, sounds great, added 4hp & 8lbs lighter than stock.
      TIP: SAVE THE STOCK HEAT SHIELD. I used radiator clamps to attach it to Megabomb, if you don't it will burn a black hole through your best jeans within the first 3 miles you ride.

      +nauseousalmond123 Oil cooled bikes (or bikes with both oil and water cooling) have an oil radiator, this one doesn't, every engine in the world needs oil inside, that's not oil cooling, unless I got this wrong?

  • @nicholstop8161
    @nicholstop8161 6 років тому

    Dirt bikes are fun but what if a cop would have seen that 250r entering the trail, would have ruined your day and he'd probably make you call someone to trailer it home or impound it.

    • @plasun86
      @plasun86 6 років тому +2

      Nicholstop - You just keep on riding....do you think they'll be able to run after you?

    • @nicholstop8161
      @nicholstop8161 6 років тому

      Luka Dragunov fuck ya they will outrunning the cops is stupid, the only time you should do it is if you’ve got a prime opportunity. Only happened to me once and I was in the best spot possible so learn from mistakes and I wouldn’t ever try it because you’re fucked if you get caught .

    • @dracgotbands
      @dracgotbands 6 років тому

      Nicholstop : bro are you that pussy that you’d stop for the cops just for them to impound your bike? You obviously haven’t ridden a Crf250r and know what they’re capable of

      Sorry man. Test drove an L. Just to give it the benefit of the doubt. Slow and lethargic. Non-adjustable suspension among other faults to me. I don't take stuff to the "dealer" either. Do my own maintenance. Bought a real bike. RMZ450.......

    • @plasun86
      @plasun86 6 років тому +1

      Jim P. - That's like comparing a Le Mans race car (slightly exaggerated) to a Porsche 911. The CRF250L is STREET LEGAL; it is far more reliable; requires much less maintenance; it has far better fuel consumption, etc....

    • @plasun86
      @plasun86 6 років тому +2

      Jim P. - I'm 6 foot 4 (210 pounds) and I DON'T think the CRF250L is slow and lethargic.....it adequately suits my needs. So far I'm very pleased with my crf250l....and don't assume anything, I could have bought the Yamaha wr250r or a KTM 690 enduro R (CASH in hand)....but I prefer the styling (very similar to the motocross version) of the crf250l to the wr250r (it’s an excellent motorcycle but it looks aged) and from my research, the 690 enduro R requires FAR more maintenance (correct me if I’m wrong). I want to spend my time riding, not wrenching. Comparing the 690 enduro R to the crf250l is like comparing a race car to a sports car....race cars often need an engine rebuild after a couple of races. My point is....I don't need a race car.
