Normally bubbles in resin are an instant disaster but those are so perfectly positioned (and make total sense within the scene) you couldn't have done that on purpose if you tried a million times. Bravo!

Those aren't bubbles, they're little silver balls added while the epoxy is curing so they stay in position.
@@troythetinkerer I really didn't believe you at first, but your totally right. Finally saw the way the light was interacting with them and casting shadow on the underside. That's such a cool technique.
Funnily enough, he tried and succeeded the first time and didnt need the other 999,999 attempts

I woulda liked a couple shots of how you made and placed the physical bubbles during the pour, and a few shots of how you segmented the 3d model for printing would have been great to see.

I'm guessing the magnets for each of the parts was to save having to drill into the piece and risk resin leaking when it came time to pour? Seems like a really good solution to a common problem.

I feel like if I was trying to imprison a tentacled monster, shackles would not be high on my list of possible restraints. Amazing work, truly. The use of magnets for ease of setup and takedown was genius.

Great work as usual but I'm a bit confused with the magnets. Magnets are usually used when you want to put something on and off regularly. You used magnets but then encased the whole build in resin. Why did you use magnets instead of simply gluing everything in place?
To do the painting work and to show the production process.
If I had made it for my personal collection, I would have just pasted it.
